Honestly sometimes I get the same excitement as I did when I was a kid, but it's rare that I do. If it's a game I really love or have been looking forward to for a while, then I get that same thrill. I think when I was younger it was more thrilling to get a new game since I was a kid and obviously didn't have any money to buy new games so it was cool to get a brand new game that your parents or relatives think you'd enjoy, and then you get to read the back of the case and read the manual to see what the game is all about. I do miss those days.

For me, it always depends on the game. I am always super hyped about any games from the GTA, Assassin's Creed and NFS franchise so whenever something new comes out, I get super excited about it. 

In my case, if anything I get more exited about games now than I did as a kid. I wasn't the most sociable child and whilst I did play video games with the friends I did have, back then it wasn't really the full on hobby that it is for me now. Yes, my pecimissum and cynissisum have definitely grown with time along with the rise of cooperate greed that plauges the industry today, but I do love gaming more as an adult that I did as a kid

I feel like an idiot, but I can't find the "Sign up" option on you website. I an see the login, but not sign up. Should I just be trying to "log in" with a new email to trigger the sign up option or something?

Congratulations on finishing your game! It's not easy to make a game, let alone to actually finish one too. I'm not too familiar with NFTs or blockchains but I do see your site has great descriptions of what they are. I like the presentation of your website as well, looks great!

I can't say I have but would be willing to try it out at some point 🙂 I do like games where you need to grind, played so much Destiny 2 in the past and loved that game and that is very much a game you need to grind as well. 

Have you ever played Runescape or Oldschool RS?
 
Probably one of the best MMORPGs ever if you like to grind nonestop haha.

How many of you have downloaded and played the free to play games offered on various platforms? Which ones do you like? 
I myself have had Fortnite. It was fun for a while but the hackers ruined the experience for me altogether. Plus the Switch isn't a good platform for competitive shooter games. I tried FallGuys and it was fun but really tough to win at. 
I got Ninjala and have had that for a while. Didn't play much. But I've gone back to that. It's fun cuz I can beat the hell outta people. *Grins* They also added Knockout City which I'm not sure if I can manage to play it but I'm gonna try cuz it looks like fun. I also got Sky: Children of the Light. Haven't started on that yet.
I've had some others but they were all shooters or Paladins.

I agree about the list of games though, are we even gamers though if we don't have a huge back log of games that we may never play LOL. I know I have a huge backlog myself and even if I tried, I probably wouldn't get through them all!

They would ruin it for everyone instantly XD

I know I'm not exactly neutral on this topic nor do I claim to be an expert, so don't take my word for it. That's why I would encourage @Empire Of Sight to get involved again in this discussion as he recently launched an NFT based game himself and could offer the "other" perspective. I did post a metaphor in another thread ages ago about the basics of what an NFT is, and here it is...

The longer version is, an NFT is a Non-Fungible Token. It's a kind of receipt for a digital asset, usually a piece of artwork, tied to a market revolving around a kind of cryptocurrency encoded into a blockchain. A blockchain is essentially a market management system that facilitates trading on this system. If you imagine cryptocurrency being to stocks what the stock market is to a blockchain, and that's the basic idea. Unlike the stock market though, profits can be made simply through interaction, like through a video game. The more people interface with it, the values of a blockchain and cryptocurrency increase as that value is determined by the size of the digital space that blockchain influences, and thus the assets held within it. Again, kind of like the stock market whare shares can go up of down based upon the economic conditions, the value of a blockchain and cryptocurrency can change based of the state of the digital landscape.
 
The short version is, it's an unstable investment at best and a scam at worst. It's people who run those blockchains and own the cryptocurrency who are the only ones likely to make any money because the have thier own digital assets grow the more people feed into thier blockchain, it's basically a pyramid scheme for the 21st century.

I still don't understand exactly how NFT's even work. My  understanding is that you sell something that doesn't even exist. Like I could say the phrase "farting monkey" and sell that as an NFT. In simple terms that a toddler could understand, would someone please explain to me how NFT's even work and what the hell is the point of them? Aside from making money.

At the moment I am very much into Fortnite especially with the new season only being a few days away now. I also enjoy playing games such as Destiny 2, and Overwatch and have in the past played games such as Elden Ring as well.

That we did LOL. Definitely no worries for safety back then when we would try and play frogger in real life. Nowadays if kids were to try that, could you imagine the outroar across the internet as I would imagine they would record it and post it on the internet for everyone to see. 

Yup, blockchain and nft nonsense. I never understood how we got here. Nfts are blowing up right now, so I could see more games featuring them. 
Idk about that last part. You can play these games, nfts and stuff are being added in for guns, skins and other stuff. It shouldn't impede your progress any. 

Do you buy any items in mobile games?
I have gotten a few packs on Clash of Clans but that's about it. A lot of mobile games have so many microtransactions that you'd go broke trying to buy everything. XD

Probably one of the first games that became addicting haha.

What kind of mouse do you have for your PC? Do you have a gaming-oriented mouse?  Ever since I bought a gaming laptop in 2012, I always had some sort of gaming mouse to accompany it. In the past i've had the Razer Naga Epic, Razer Naga Epic Wireless, An Alienware  mouse (Had issues with this one......) and currently rocking a Corsair Scrimitar.  Do you use a gaming mouse? If so, which one do you have? I've heard good things about logitech mice.

Haha I'm sure it'll be a slow grind to get people online but I'm grateful I didn't give up because there were some really dark days trying to finish it XD

Like a fiend. I played it non stop whenever I could. We had family friends that had an Atari with it, Pitfall, Q*Bert, and Pacman. At least those are the ones I remember best. They actually had to get a second TV because we were always playing on the Atari. Frogger is a cherished memory from those days. At the time, that 2 bit was the cutting edge of graphics. That was before Nintendo came out with their 8 bit graphics, and completely changed the game. We were all amazed at how lifelike SMB was. But we still played the hell out of Frogger. The goddamn gators drove me nuts, but at least I could time my jumps however I wanted. Unlike withe the damn cars and trucks. I have to go on their schedule.😡
Ah well. I still kicked ass on it. And I still have it to this day on Atari, among other systems.
