I'm looking into getting an upgraded Switch when/if that comes out. I don't have any real use for 4K, as I can't see any difference, so if that's the only new feature, then I'm going to pass. But if it has Bluetooth capabilities, then I'm sold. having to use wired earbuds is a major bitch when I want the sound and I my girl wants to watch TV or something. It's usually hard for me to move rooms, so once I settle in one for the day, I don't leave it until bed. Also the damn cord gets in the way all the frickin time. So if I could just use my Raycons with it, you will have one happy bitch here.

I see a lot of talk about this game, and I actually have Dark Souls 1 & 2 for my PS3. I just never got around to actually playing them. I think it's mainly because I don't know all that much about them, and haven't seen anyone play either. Whether in person or on YT, is moot. So I'm wanting to hear not only opinions, but facts about the games, to help me decide if I really want to hook my PS3 back up and see if I can get into them. Things about the story as well. Is it open world? Is it a loose story? Does it have a specific mission? Does the mission alter at all as the game progresses? (Think FF8) Is there a specific protagonist and antagonist? Are you either or both? Do you serve under anyone? Is there a monkey? Pretty much everything. I know the whole world loves Skyrim and Witcher 3, but I couldn't get into either no matter how much I tried. The story of Witcher didn't grab me, and the control mechanics of Skyrim turn me off no matter how much I alter them. So tell me what you can everyone. I know @StaceyPowers has talked about it a lot. Or was that Daemon Souls? As an irrelevant point, I have Daemon Souls too.

I watched this multiple times, and loved it more and more each time. Everyone alive needs to see it. And everyone dead too.

I like the blue. It's much easier on my eyes due to the extreme photoseneisitity of my eyes. I'm on another Invision forum, and theirs is just a white background so I have to turn on dark mode to view it. It's a pain in the ass, but not much else I can do about it.

I play almost all my games with the sound off these days. I'm not sure why. I think the only game I play with the sound on is RDR2, oddly enough.

In all honesty, I recommend FF8. It introduced many new features that previous games hadn't been equipped with such as the junction system. There is so much in depth, both story, and side quests. Your characters grow and change in front of you. Your weapons are upgradeable with the right items. The GF's can learn different abilities, and have a love/hate relationship with your characters. There are things hidden in the game that you will never know about or how to even solve, on your first several play throughs unless you have a guide or look online. You won't find the Solomon Ring, Deep Sea Research Center, or where several of the GF's even are. Some are drawn from enemies, some are fought, and others are just found by luck. The only required GF in the game is Ifrit. The other 15 are completely optional. As is the semi-GF Odin, but I recommend against getting him. I recommend staying away from FF7 and FF13. Both were completely worthless. The majority of the FF community will call me insane, but I absolutely despise FF7. And what everyone has told you about FF13 is true. It's the worst in the series second only to FF7. I've played every FF game up through FF9. Many have been decades since, some I don't even have anymore, so I can't really help you with them anymore. There are more fan fiction theories about FF8 than any other in the series. Sure they all have theirs, but FF8 has garnered more than any other entry. Some seemingly plausible, others coming from the minds of crackheads. But the underlying stories that come into being and become revealed as the game progresses on, are nothing short of spell binding. FF8 is nothing short of a true masterpiece. Just watch the opening sequence and decide for yourself.

I went through dozens of controllers when I was a kid, and a lot of duplicate systems. I got so pissed off one day that I threw my SNES into the yard, grabbed my shotgun, and unloaded a box of shells into it. I felt better, but no longer had an SNES to play. And that was one of my less angry moments.

WoW was never anything special. I tried it, and it's not what you think. You're stuck doing bullshit missions that mean little or nothing at all. Your character doesn't have any real opportunities to level up unless you find a crew to try to find dungeons with. Unless you want to stay in the forest killing mutant mushrooms. The NPC's always ask you to do the dumbest most inane "missions" for them. One that I remember specifically was swimming to the bottom of a lake to collect a treasure chest. First off, a new character doesn't have the stamina to hold their breath that long. Second, how the hell, exactly, is this going to benefit me for the damn game at all? It's more of a time killer than a game. Personally, I think Blizzard should be paying us to play it, not the other way around.

Being a classic gamer (with a few exceptions) the only place I really have to get games is eBay, and occasionally Craigslist. It sucks because the prices are bullshit most of the time, but it's about all that's left for me as an option.

Nevermind. I fixed it. I just had to unplug it from my computer and plug it back in. The same thing we needed to do with 2020.

I'm having an issue with my mouse. The wheel has stopped working correctly. Instead of scrolling a page it now only controls volume. I've been all over it trying to figure out what the fuck is going on. It just happened out of nowhere and is severely pissing me off. I can still navigate by grabbing the bar at the side of the page, but the wheel isn't doing its job. What the hell do I need to do to fix this? I've tried all the F buttons, I tried the control panel, I tried the scroll lock, I tried restarting it, I've tried several button combinations, I've tried every god damn thing I can think of. This is going beyond pissing me off. HELP

No you're not the only one. There have been games in the past that I liked the beta version way more than the final release. I can't remember any off the top of my head, as my memory is a big problem. My neurologist is trying to help me with it. But I do know that there have been several.

I like finding them on my own. And I've found a hell of a lot in a majority of the more open world games that I've played. I've found a few in some of the linear games that I've played as well, but it's mostly been the 360°, 3D, open world games. I like being surprised, myself. It just adds to the game, whereas being told where everything is kinda defeats the purpose of the easter egg.

Does anyone know if it's possible to take a game that is a download only, like through Steam, and burn it to disc so that you can play it on a console? If so, how would you go about doing so? I'm also wondering about cartridges too. Like erase the info on a Switch cart and put the download game on it. I'm asking because I would love to have Hatred on a disc or cart so that I don't have to always play it on PC, but can play pretty much anywhere. I'm sure some of you would like to be able to do the same with other games as well.

I was a pro-am snowboarder in my youth, but I'm not able to ride one anymore. As a result snowboarding games are the only ones I really play.

I've never played MG, but I know from personal experience EXACTLY what it is to live like that. My sperm donor was a physically abusive drunk. My egg donor was a verbally, emotionally, and mentally abusive slut. Yet to them and everyone else, my brother and sister walked on water. Fucked up situation.

If number 2 is true, then I have to agree with their reasoning for the cancel. If they announce it too early and can't live up to the expectations, then the only smart thing to do is cancel. Better that than another rushed game.

@Shagger you asshole, I'm not going to stop laughing at that for the next 5 years. While I don't play a ukulele, I'm probably going to end up trying to do a cover of it.

Being that Microsoft has dominated the PC market for decades, there's no way their stock is going to be a bad choice to invest in. But personally, I don't think the Series X/S is going to impress very many people. I've already seen dozens of people on Craigslist trying to trade their X/S for a PS5, or to sell it for the money to order one, even if it's at a loss to them. People are actually actively trying to get rid of the system. I see it flopping. Not Stadia flopping, but flopping nonetheless. I just don't have any faith in the system.
