Best/least aggravating horses or other mounts
The Blackangel replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
The horses in RDR2 are a real pain. You have to make sure to feed them regularly and keep them at a healthy weight so they don't starve to death and literally fall over dead. Most are slow and sluggish with microscopic stamina. A majority are just flat out stupid. The tiniest of predator animals and they completely freak out, throw your ass, and run away. Even if it's just a simple snake. The bears, wolves, cougars, alligators, and panthers I get. But the same panic attack over a snake? The fangs would break off if it tried to bite through the hoof. I've seen it IRL, and know most of the snakes IRL as well. They go low, not high when they strike. If you want a fast horse with great stamina that keeps healthy (as long as you keep it fed) longer, then you have 2 options. Wait until the stable is open in St. Denis, or head into the mountains. St. Denis sells an Arabian, but there's also an Arabian that you can catch in the mountains. The wild one is the better, and actually best horse in the game (look it up) but also the hardest of all the wild horses to catch. If you want a quality horse, she's worth the stress. Just be stubborn. Her main downside is that she's in the same group as the majority. Absolutely stupid. If you can get past that, then she's well worth the effort. But don't shoot anything if you can avoid it. The gunshot will scare her away and you'll have to leave and come back to try to get the game to spawn her again. There are wolves up in her area, so you may have to leave and come back several times due to having to kill the fucking wolves. -
Do you love or hate battle royale, and why?
The Blackangel replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
I have only rarely played a battle royale game. Usually an option on a game cart. Like on Conker's Bad Fur Day there's a secondary game that is a battle royale. It was "fun" on a rare occasion, but not enough to garner any actual real interest for me. Add in the fact that it seems that most battle royale games nowadays are online games, and I have significantly less interest than before. -
How do you feel defeating learners during games.
The Blackangel replied to bomb's topic in Gaming Forum
Sooner or later people have to learn that just because you're new, does not mean you're special. Experience is the hardest teacher. It gives the test first and the lesson second. -
Adventure is a pretty broad genre. Can you narrow it down some?
-
Depends which system. I'm pretty much the only classic gamer here, so I have quite a few I can mention.

Big, empty areas to explore that drive you crazy

What the fuck does this have to do with the topic? -
Do you feel guilty if you harm certain video game characters?
The Blackangel replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
That sounds an awful lot like Van Horn, or a small possibility of it being Annesburg. -
Jesus Christ, I am out of touch. I’ve never seen that before. The last cartoon dog I’ve seen was Brian Griffin. But for children, it would be the big red one. I don’t remember the name. And I thought shit got stupid when dishwashing equipment got a cartoon.

I’ve never played Animal Crossing, and what the fuck is blues clues? Is it like the backwards message shit that was supposed to be in metal in the 80’s? Except this is in blues music instead of metal?

It looks amazing. I noticed the lag too in the battle scenes, but being that it's a work in progress, it can be forgiven at this point. My only need to know would be is it an MMO, or is it single player offline? Also I'm curious if there is any idea of a release date? 2021, 2022, 2023, etc.?

How the hell do you do a podcast? I've heard that anyone with a computer can do one, but can't find anything in particular about how you do one, or what exactly a podcast is. Is it just recorded audio that you post online, or is it a live conversation between multiple parties? I feel like a complete moron here. I don't know any of this shit, and feel like I should. I have a couple videos on YouTube, but feel like I should know more than how to do that.

What combat styles are you consistently worst at?
The Blackangel replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
The first time I ever logged in to WoW, I had been on less than literally 10 seconds, some level 52 asshole tried to challenge me to a duel. Hello? 10 fucking seconds here. That was the beginning of my hatred of online gaming. -
Sometimes the dumbest shit is rage inducing.

Do you think they should take a break from open world games?
The Blackangel replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming Forum
Not necessarily. There are dozens of horses, hundreds of outfit combinations you can make, and a hell of a lot of guns to start. Sure, you get access to them as you progress through the story, as several are locked in the beginning, but that doesn't mean you can't kill someone and steal their guns afterwards. Not to mention stealing their horse. You can then sell the horse to a stable, but you usually get $5 or less since you don't have papers, unless the horse is a high quality breed, which is rare. The gun you can take to a gunsmith and customize everything about it. The metals, varnish, engravings, carvings, rifling, sights, literally everything. personally I recommend buying it when it becomes available, but sometimes that isn't the best option as you might need the extra power that a stolen gun can give you. You can't sell your guns, but you can store them in your foot locker at your tent in camp. There's a world of customization, and endless options to make Arthur a reflection of yourself. Unless you want to make him female. Then you're screwed. 😢 -
Mature/Violent games you played as a kid
The Blackangel replied to killamch89's topic in Gaming Forum
I've played Hatred for years. It's an outlet for me to commit as many murders and as much torture as I want. But I wouldn't have been able to play it as a kid because it wasn't even released until 2015, when I was 33. As for Thrill Kill, it was never actually released. Demos went out, but the reception on them was so negative, that Midway decided to cut their losses and not release a fully finished version of the game. It was a decision to satisfy conservative groups that were all but picketing them. I know some would consider the God Of War series violent or mature, but I don't know where I stand on that. Some games I have on my Switch are Blood Breed, Agony, Infliction, and on a lesser scale Blasphemous. -

Should Video Games Be More Integrated Into Education
The Blackangel replied to killamch89's topic in Gaming Forum
Public school has always lacked all quality, value, and/or worth. There needs to be a complete overhaul of the entire system. Teachers have their favorites, and don't give half a fuck about the other students. None of the faculty cares about bullying. Teachers go out of their way to be especially cruel to one hand picked student. When that student fights back it's a national tragedy. Everyone's asking "Where were the parents?" and blaming people like Marilyn Manson, or movies like Terminator, or games like GTA. They refuse to look at the big picture and accept what the real mother fucking problem is. -
Do you think EA needs to fix Madden before their future releases?
The Blackangel replied to Kane99's topic in Video Games
They at least need to do something about the Madden curse. Which would mean STOP PUTTING ATHLETES ON THE FUCKING COVER. -
Rose Red has met video games. This one can fuck with the mind big time. And that's why I love it.

The Blackangel replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming Forum
If you're talking to me there, then yes, you're right. My first system was the Colecovision. The Atari 2600 came out just a few years before I was born. I grew up on Atari 2600, Colecovision, and NES. All I played were late 70's or early-mid 80's games as a kid, because that's what I grew up with. And I remember the Atari 2600 being revolutionary in home entertainment. They laid the groundwork for video games, and kept the industry alive through the crash of '83. -

Stress levels. I know this isn’t everyone, but it is a large number of gamers. Trying to obtain something, and repeatedly failing at whatever part in obtaining said desire. Anger and frustration starts to rise, thus inducing an elevated stress level. I know I have a major problem with video game rage. It’s part of the reason I stick to one player game mostly, and have entirely quit playing other games. Because I’m often just not a good choice as a gaming partner.
