I get like that with RDR2 more often than I would like. Sometimes I’m enjoying the storyline, but a lot of the time I’m working on stranger missions, or things for camp, or something for myself and leaving the storyline for later. For example, the first two things I go for once we get out of the mountains and into chapter 2 (not a spoiler it’s required quickly) is the white Arabian, and the Legend Of The East satchel. Best horse in the game, and best satchel. Neither is particularly easy to get, but more than worth it. Catching, breaking, and taming a wild horse never is.

I’ve tried online gaming several times with several different games. I’ve always hated it. The closest I ever enjoyed was playing Soul Calibur II at the arcade on campus. The machine ranked its top 100 players and I was ranked 6th. In a town with 3 major colleges that add 60k-80k people with 110k permanent residents, that was no small feat. I knew how to use Kilik, and I knew how to use him well.

What combat styles are you consistently worst at?
The Blackangel replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
Spell caster. I suck with magic. Physical attacks and long range bow attacks however, I’m deadly. I’m a deadeye IRL, so that helps. If I have a sword or bow, that leaves you two options. Do you want strategically placed holes in your body, or a dismembered corpse? -
Do you like people watching you game?
The Blackangel replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
It depends on what I’m playing. Most of the time I don’t care, but if I’m trying to escape the universe, then I don’t want to even know other people exist. -
Educational games you played in school growing up
The Blackangel replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
We were never assigned any games, but the library had 2 that were really popular. Operation Weather Disaster and Skytrip USA. It was a complete crapshoot on whether anyone got lucky enough to get to play either as they were almost always taken. That was when PC games required the disc to be in the drive to run. OWD was always my favorite. -
Do you think they should take a break from open world games?
The Blackangel replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming Forum
I would love it. I have a fairly simple brain when it comes to gaming. I’m a million times better at games that send you from point A to B to C to D etc. A little exploration is fine, but a world so open, that it actually takes away from the enjoyment of the game is a serious issue. Then again, too linear is just as big an issue. Zelda OoT was mostly linear with a little bit of side quests. BigGoron Sword, Epona, gold skulltulas, weapon capacity upgrades. Then try RDR2 and everything is on steroids. It’s at times too much. There are so many options for what to do next if you want to move the game forward, that it will easily be overwhelming to someone new to the game. Damned if you do, damned if you don’t. -
The closest I can think of is the FF8 remaster. A great game getting a facelift. It makes a hell of a difference.

1. Milk Before Cereal Or Cereal Before Milk
The Blackangel replied to killamch89's topic in General Chat
It doesn’t make any god damn sense to do the milk first. You won’t get hardly any cereal in the fucking bowl. -
Yeah, and so does rabbit fur, camel sperm, and whale shit. But the cheese MUST be made with orangutan milk.

I don’t think anyone here is stupid enough to buy from a scalper. But in the event that someone IS, then I have no sympathy for them when they have to choose between rent and food because they spent $1000 on a $400 PlayStation.
-
I still have and buy CD’s as well. I currently have more than $1500 worth of CD’s and listen to them whenever I’m driving. But whenever I get a new CD the first thing I do is rip it. And I’m always burning mixes so I have a shitload of burned discs around here, and a hell of a lot of blanks left. CD-R’s and CD-RW’s both. Also my disc drive is a blu-ray RW as well.

I'd love to see more games like Super Mario Bros. 35
The Blackangel replied to Kane99's topic in Video Games
Bubble Bobble and Dig Dug would be interesting. Q*Bert and Asteroids would be a couple other great additions. -
Should Video Games Be More Integrated Into Education
The Blackangel replied to killamch89's topic in Gaming Forum
Nowadays I don’t really see a way it could be integrated into education unless more games like Mario Is Missing are made. There were a couple PC games when I was a kid that were fun as hell and educational. One was Skytrip USA, and the other was Operation Weather Disaster. OWD was so much fun to play, that none of us even realized that it was educational. If companies were willing to look in that direction, then gaming could have a future in the educational market. But all that matters now is the almighty dollar, so companies are going to stick with what they know will make them money. Just look at all the fuckups coming from EA for example. -
Mature/Violent games you played as a kid
The Blackangel replied to killamch89's topic in Gaming Forum
Mortal Kombat and Conker’s Bad Fur Day come to mind immediately for me. MK for the violence, and CBFD for the graphic content. Get the two of those mixed together in one kids mind, and it can’t get much more fucked up than that. -
The best thing about the PlayStation exclusives is definitely God Of War. Awesome game.

Check Craigslist in your area. People are selling them for roughly $200 here, with games.

The last apartment I lived in was a shithole in a drug infested area. Gunshots were nightly. But it had its good points. All utilities were included in the rent. And the landlords accepted Section-8, so my rent went from $350 to $160 per month. outside that I had cable TV ($50) and internet ($50), so my total bills were $260 per month. The rest of the money I got every month, which wasn't shit by the way, I could do whatever I wanted with. Disability just barely gives you enough to survive on, depending on what you can find. I got lucky, money wise.

I was going to say Castlevania, but @killamch89 beat me to it. So instead I will give my vote to a few one shots that severely deserve a sequel. Dantes Inferno (PS3) Blackthorne (SNES) Conker's Bad Fur Day (N64) Zelda Majoras Mask (N64)

No fucking way. I value honesty, and despise greed, and would never support some piece of shit like that. If some scalper tried to sell me one, I would knock their worthless ass to the ground then squat down and piss on their face. After that I would just raid their pockets and take their console. Yes, I would rob them.

Do PS5 scalpers have any legitimate defense for their actions?
The Blackangel replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
There is no defense. It's pure greed and nothing else. That's not a bad idea, but would be ineffective. Just because Scalper-1 is recorded, it doesn't mean their friends and family are. Also they could offer people x amount of money to go in, buy one with the scalpers money, and bring it out to the scalper. There's a million ways around these things. -
A lot of games have a "hardcore" option that if you die once it's all over. You go all the way back to square one. You might be one step from winning and beating the game, but are killed by a surprise attack. Well you are now at the beginning of a new file.

PlayStation. For starters, the setup on the Xbox controller is uncomfortable. They don’t have as good a setup for multi platform games as PS does. Also, I have just personally hated Xbox ever since its first system. PS has never let me down though.

Foreign songs you love despite not understanding the lyrics.
The Blackangel replied to m76's topic in Music
Rammstein. I don’t speak enough German to follow the lyrics, but I live their music. Sehnsucht is my favorite song of theirs. -
Fuck baking, you deep fry that shit.

If it’s clear enough tonight I’m going to get my telescope out. It’s a Celestron NexStar 5se. For those not into astronomy, it’s one of the best on the market. It can be a bit of a pain to fully set up at times, but it’s more than worth the hassle. Especially being that I can see nebulae outside of our solar system. Saturn and Jupiter are absolutely gorgeous and completely mesmerizing. Seeing them in a picture is nothing compared to actually seeing them with your own eyes. It’s like the pyramids ir Stonehenge. Sure it’s amazing in pictures, but it can’t compare in any way to actually seeing it firsthand. The planets take my breath away every time. Astronomy is a passion for me that supersedes gaming. If I was a good student, I would go to college and work towards a Ph.D in astronomy. But I just don’t have the self discipline to apply myself. Also I doubt I would get accepted anywhere, seeing as how I dropped out halfway into my junior year. Prior to that, if I got a D- I was happy because it meant I passed. Not exactly a scholastic record that would impress anyone.
