  1. The fault falls entirely on Microsoft. Say someone is getting this for their grandchildren. Perhaps they don’t know a Nintendo from a PlayStation from an Xbox. How are they to know if what they’re buying is the right one? In all the hustle and bustle that is xmas shopping, all they may know is “new Xbox” and nothing else. Are they really going to notice the difference in name during all that insanity? I highly doubt it. You don’t have to be all fancy with the name if you have a quality product to push. The fact that they named it so close to the Xbox One X tells me that they aren’t very confident about the new system. Add in the recent acquisition if Bethesda, and I really think Microsoft is scared.
  2. The screen has a revolutionary new feature that's called "Adjust Brightness". Don't even get started with that "shit to do" and "work 8 hour jobs" bullshit. Some of us are disabled and CAN'T FUCKING WORK. When you reach a point that you have to wear sunglasses indoors due to it being so bright that it physically burns your eyes and you have to keep them closed for the next 2 days to heal, then you can talk to me about brightness.
  3. I hope not. My hope is that independent studios stay independent.
  4. is it possible that the plug just came loose on one end or the other? A lot of time those damn HDMI cables can be so finicky that they give you errors on the slightest thing.
  5. It's just a rehashing of Action 52. I highly recommend not getting duped by those cartridges. If you're going with something of that nature, find a good hacker and have the games installed on a hard drive in the machine. You can have hundreds of games that way.
  6. The less light there is, the better. I have light blocking curtains in every room, and rarely turn the lights on. The best thing about winter is that the days only have 7-8 hours of sunlight, and the rest of the 24 hour period is darkness. Sunlight is excruciatingly physically painful. If it's dark enough that you can't see your hand in front of your face, it's still too bright.
  7. I had a couple. They're literally so narrow they sit in between the bones of your ass. The only explanation I can come up with for them being so damn narrow, is that they have to be designed for children under 10, and not adults. If they were designed for adults, they would be at least 1' wider.
  8. It's like having little balls of pure love. When they get old, they can get unfriendly to mean, but prior to that they are some of the sweetest creatures on earth. They feel emotions as strongly as any humanoid. And when your life is saved by a rat, they become the most important creature in your life.
  9. When I was a kid I could. I could slow dance, line dance, and shake my ass with the best of them.
  10. I'm in the same boat as @Shagger on this one. It's a beautifully designed game, but I just couldn't get into it. I tried several times, but it just couldn't get its hooks into me. So it sits in my Switch case just "collecting dust" so to speak. I would consider selling it, but when I do that I always regret it. So I'm just going to hang on to it. I may try again to play it later.
  11. This is going to alienate a lot of gamers. With Bethesda now being owned by Microsoft, they could be forced into making all their games Xbox exclusive. Which could easily tank sales, and possibly bankrupt them. There are people that are die hard loyalists to one system, and no matter how much they love any given franchise, will refuse to consider playing it on another. I've personally met a lot of PlayStation loyalists. Me myself, I have always hated Xbox, but was forced to get an Xbox One because there is a game I wanted desperately that was an Xbox exclusive. Now with Bethesda being the property of Microsoft, they're going to lose a lot of customers. That 7½ billion might feel pretty sweet right now, but it's only going to fuck things up. Some are going to say that they may offer Sony and Nintendo the option to license games from their company, but how would that really help them? Selling to the competition only to have the competition sell that to make their money back? Just cut out the middle man and give the damn game away. I see nothing but disaster in this.
  12. Downpouring rain. The heavier the better. I go out to my garage and watch the rain. Sometimes I take my Switch or Game Boy. Others I just watch the rain. Nothing is more soothing to me.
  13. If I was to go for one, it would be the PS5. But it will be a few years before I give it any serious thought.
  14. It was just a reference due to Pepsi having released a game. I don’t even want to think of them releasing a console. That is a truly horrifying concept.

  17. Welcome back MKUltra and Stanford Prison Experiment. We didn't miss you.
  18. Where, exactly, did you hear this? I've smoked marijuana on and off for more than 20 years and never once was it hallucinogenic. Multiple different strains from multiple growers. Some that won the cannabis cup. Never a hallucination once. I currently have a medical marijuana card, and use it for pain due to the muscular dystrophy. But there are several states that have legalized it not only for medical use, but also recreational use. Colorado is one. I'm personally legalized to have up to 4 ounces in my possession at any given time. I do have to agree with this one. Marijuana is extremely dangerous if someone gets behind the controls of any kind of machinery. Yes that includes their personal vehicle. While a buzz or tipsy on alcohol isn't good, being stoned is often worse than drunk. Mainly because marijuana often makes a person sleepy enough that they fall asleep behind the wheel. Then people end up dead, and someone ends up in prison. Look, I'm not trying to come down on anyone. I don't care what your drug of choice is. Grass, alcohol, rock, blow, angel dust, junk, krok, or anything else. It makes no difference to me. But just don't think for a second that you can operate anything while under the influence. In all reality, marijuana has no narcotic properties. THC isn't narcotic like say, nicotine or alcohol. That's why most don't sit around and burn one all day the way cigarette smokers and drinkers do. As for marijuana not having those effects, that makes me think that YOU are the one that has never been around a pot head. While people see it as something that's just going to mellow you out, that's only the way Hollywood portrays it. There's a lot more to the market than that.
  19. North American carbon copy of North Korea. Adolf went so far out of his way to fuck up the US as much as possible, that I worry whether we’re too far gone to ever be fixed. 1) No allies left. 2) The economy is destroyed. 3) No response to Covid except denial. 4) Government corruption worse than any other time in American history. 5) Lack of response to natural disasters. And dozens more thanks to Adolf. To sum it all up: WE’RE FUCKED.
  20. I doubt they’re going to worry about remasters for a while. With how much they’re making off games like GTAV, and RDR2 they really don’t need to jump on the bandwagon. Personally I hope they don’t.
  21. Same here. I started out playing AC3. It got me hooked. I’m not a fan of sequel crazy franchises, but I welcome more entries into the Assassins Creed series.
  22. Anything that is in demand, especially something that has been anticipated for so long like the PS5, is going to have scalpers trying to rip gullible people off. As for the night before part, they most likely went on sale at midnight, which technically is the day they promised the preorders to be sold. I can't say, as I didn't bother keeping up with it, since I have no intention of buying one for a few years at least. I always do that if there's a system I'm interested in. Bugs not initially caught will be fixed, price will be lower, more games will be available. It's a win-win IMO.
