  1. Racism and prejudice in general is something that is never going to go away, regardless or where a person stands. I don't think they actually care, but social pressure to be PC is what I think is driving them to make the call. I'm white so what's the problem if I want to use a screen name like "OneBadassCracker"? Yeah "cracker" is a derogatory term against white people, but I AM white, so why can I not use it? The same goes for all races. I just don't think it's an honest move meant for improvement. It's just backing down. I know a guy who is overweight and homosexual that refers to himself as "Fat Fag" all the time. It's actually how he introduces himself a lot. Since it's coming from his mouth it's not derogatory since he's talking about himself. So why couldn't he use something like "ImTheFatFag"?
  2. Even though I have it (got it in a bundle), I have never played TLOU, so I don't know much about it. But I have to ask. What would drive a homophobic reaction? Is the main character gay or trans? I tried googling it, but couldn't find anything that would point in that direction.
  3. Bushido Blade was a good one. The problem I had with it was that it never ends. It got so monotonous that I lost all interest in it, and haven't played it in 20 years.
  4. I'm sure others here are just as scatterbrained as me. I've noticed lately that when I post, I start off contributing to the conversation at hand, but end on something that doesn't have shit to do with the actual conversation. So I'm making this thread for anyone who is just as scatterbrained as me. Let the unrelated nonsense begin!
  5. I'm a bit obsessed with Johnny Depp, so when it hit shelves it was quickly in my collection. I literally have almost everything he has ever been in. And if I come across a cover of a movie that I haven't got I buy it. I have around 10 Charlie And The Chocolate Factory, 8 or 9 Alice In Wonderland, 6 or 7 Platoon, and I don't even know how many Edward Scissorhands. I also have the King Of The Hill season that he did a guest voice (season 8). All 5 seasons of 21 Jumpstreet. he wasn't technically in season 5 because his contract had ended, but they put the season 4 finale in season 5 for the DVD sets. Also his pic is on the cover. I have movies that were never released in North America. You name a movie, I most likely have it. My all time favorite movie is one of his most obscure ones. The Libertine.
  6. I'm farming items on FF8 and playing Castlevania 64.
  7. I don't know if this is of any help, but here's a page I go to when I need a special character. Special Characters
  8. I have a headphone and mic that are technically Nintendo as they're Zelda edition, but I've found that they work on any system. They're tricky to get to work through a USB adapter, but they do the trick for me when I need them. I typically use them to record things for one of my YouTube channels.
  9. Lockdown or not, the only way I really have to keep myself entertained is my pets and gaming. I love letting one of my rats crawl all over me and getting kisses from them. The same for my dogs. My bird loves to crawl around on my head and perch on my glasses. But when I want to be left alone I get on a game. But I can't have my bird out of her cage if I want to game in the same room. It pisses her off, and she will bite the shit out of me until I put down the controller. She also hates nail polish for some reason. And she also hates anyone who isn't me. How in the hell do I get so damn off track in so many posts?
  10. I got a new one. I'm playing Castlevania 64, and found out that you can jump backwards. I was trying to jump platforms to get across a poisoned river, and somehow managed to jump backwards, directly into the god damn river. And this game is a hard ass and a half. It's easy to die, and save points are few and far between. And there are no lives like you would have in early Mario games. I set the game mode on easy because its been probably 15 years since I've played this game, and to be honest don't remember jack about it. But in less than an hour I died more times than I cared to count. If the point of the game was to die repeatedly, then I would have the worldwide high score right now.
  11. For the most part I liked the movies, but other than that I never had any real interest in anything Harry Potter. harry and Ron's cluelessness was, to put it mildly, annoying. And Hermione's know-it-all attitude was Karen-in-training. Dumbledore, while powerful, was a dumbass too. The movies are ok for background noise, but not much else in my opinion.
  12. If I'm awake I usually have one game or another running. While I may not be paying a whole lot of attention to the game from time to time, it's still running. Sometimes I start up FF8 and get into a fight with something powerful and just leave it be to farm up some good items. I've gotten a lot of Ribbons and Friendships that way.
  13. Does anyone else post on Reddit? I started posting recently, and actually created my own subreddit. It's pretty interesting reading other people's stories. I'm getting ready to create a second one as well. If anyone wants the links I'll be happy to share them. I'd also love to have some people make a few posts as well.
  14. It helped me immensely. I've been able to pay off several debts, pick up a few things I needed, and have some money left over. Those of us that are disabled have been helped more than you know.

    Mario Kart

I was thinking the same thing.

    Mario Kart

I’ve played Mario Kart since it debuted on SNES. I played it in every system up through Wii. The Wii version had some great features and the courses were awesome. But as I’m not particularly a fan of the system, I didn’t really play it all that often. So not counting that one my favorite is Mario Kart 64.
  17. I HATE MY FUCKING VAN!!!! The worthless hunk if junk has screwed me for the last time. I was leaving the doctors office, and the sliding door, on the passenger side with the ramp, CAME OFF THE GOD DAMN TRACK!!!! My anxiety and stress are through the roof now. I wish I had someone here that I didn’t like so I would have someone to strangle.
  18. Being on the inside is hell. No privileges. But that’s the point. We weren’t allowed anything to entertain ourselves but books and occasionally TV. If you didn’t spend a lot of time in the yard, you weren’t left with much else.
  19. GameStop has been open here where I live. But they are taking precautions. They’re only allowing 5 customers in the store at a time. But so far they have been doing great, since people are wanting something to eat up time and boredom, and are coming to look for new games. Either as an avid gamer like all of us here at this forum, or as newbies.
  20. I have to say, you make a great point. I would love a fighting game that was more realistic. So far the closest to real I’ve seen is Soul Calibur. A lot of the moves in it are designed to get your enemies a little off balance which makes it a more authentic fight. At least it does in my eyes.
  21. From the late 80’s and early 90’s I could only name a couple. Sega CD Jaguar 3DO I grew up in the 80’s as well, and played Atari and Colecovision for a long time before I got a Nintendo.
  22. I’ve tried to get into BOTW, but I just can’t. Maybe it’s me, but that game is just too confusing, even in the beginning.
  23. I think I saw Fight Club once a very long time ago, right after it came out on video. But that may be a false memory. I do know that it has always looked somewhat interesting to me though.
