  1. Whether they said it or not is irrelevant in my opinion. Single player games will never be dead. It's that multiplayer games are more popular at the moment in todays market, and vastly more profitable.
  2. Two things I have tried that I DO NOT RECOMMEND are urchin and octopus. Urchin has a god awful flavor and feels like snot mixed with sand. Octopus doesn't really have a flavor, but is literally impossible to chew. You will chew up a piece of rubber before you can chew up a piece of octopus. I am not even close to joking.
  3. Even if it's Mario, when you are just horrible at a game, it becomes a survival game to just keep your stupid character alive for even 5 damn minutes. The number of games for me would take all of our fingers and toes to come up with a half accurate number to start multiplying. If you want pure comedy, start me on a game I've never played and watch the carnage. But the thing is, the carnage will be coming out of my mouth not my fingers, as I'll be the one getting my ass kicked instead of my enemies. Trust me, you guys would be laughing your asses off.
  4. Action 52 was frightening as a concept. If memory serves me correctly, I think somewhere in the neighborhood of 35-40 of the games were space shooters. That's well over half of all the games on the cartridge. I always wondered if the reason behind that was due to a lack of memory on the cart, and they had to cram whatever they could into it just to hit that quantity of games. They obviously were more worried about quantity over quality.
  5. This is wrong on so many levels. Join me in begging, praying, protesting, threatening what the hell ever it takes to stop this one.
  6. Instead of listening to what we want, they're telling us what we want.
  7. I still have both of them.
  8. This isn't about sales or personal opinions. This post is about the absolute worst ideas for games that actually made it to production. The ones that made almost literally everyone involved in the video game market think "WTF is wrong with you people?". There's most likely more games than I know about, but the one that sticks out for me is by far, Shaq-Fu. It's a beat 'em up fighting game from what I can tell. Or is it an adventure? Is it a MK/SF2 style game? Is it a portrayal of what you have to do to become a professional athlete? This game crosses so many boundaries that I don't even know how to classify it.
  9. I can growl pretty close to what Chris Barnes sounds like. And if you don't think a woman can growl....
  10. It's now a proven fact. All a girl needs to get a record contract is blonde hair. So glad I'm a brunette.
  11. Here's a quick list of the PC games I can think of off the top of my head. They're in no particular order: 1) Diablo 2) AOE2 3) MDK 4) Diablo 2 That's about it. I'm not going to lie, I've never really done a lot of PC gaming.
  12. Depending on the NES that you bought, the Power Pad often came with it. They all came with the Zapper though.
  13. When the Zelda edition of the 3DS came out I bought 2 of them. I thought they were cool, and may be a collectors item one day.
  14. But at least they bounced back a little bit with FFX and X2 though. They're definitely not the best in the franchise, but they're still leaps and bounds better than 9. I also found it really cool that X2 was the first true sequel in the entire franchise.
  15. The most ridiculous thing game companies say is that they have heard what consumers have said about what they want, and the their next edition to a series or original game will be exactly what we're asking for.
  16. The best survival games are games you love, but just flat out suck at.
  17. I didn't like FF9 because it was too much of a damn cartoon. It's the same as Zelda Wind Waker to me. I just couldn't play that either because the graphics were flat out sickening to me.
  18. Every part of the market will have times that they will look back at when they were doing better, and times when they were doing worse. They will also look ahead at times when they should be doing better, and times they're not sure about. But either way, as long as the publisher maintains or gains some integrity, things should do fine for us as gamers.
  19. I tend to stick with HP. I’ve never had a problem with them and have only gotten new ones when I felt it was time to upgrade. My current one is an all-in-one and it’s great. My laptop is a small HP, and it does everything I got it for, which isn’t much. I got it for a bit of internet surfing and to write on when I’m out. The only computer brand that has proven repeatedly that it’s a completely worthless piece of shit is dell. I was stuck fixing the worthless things nonstop when I was a teenager, at school before I dropped out. I owned one only one time for all of 2 weeks and all it did was prove once again, that dell needs to go out of business.
  20. No I never had one of those. This is gonna drive me nuts now. Short trip, I know.
  21. Don’t forget that we’re all devil worshippers ever since we played a game that had any form of magic in it. Castlevania and Zelda have led us to a path of evil and sin that there is no coming back from.
  22. I don’t think this age is easier for developers. Expectations have gotten so high for games that it’s next to impossible to meet those expectations. Everyone expects life like graphics, worlds bigger than the real world, abilities that are almost godlike, and speeds that are so fast that they can virtually anticipate your decisions before you make them, just to name a few things. Now rewind 25-30 years, when we were in the 8-16 bit eras. People didn’t have unrealistic expectations for the graphics, game size, speed, and abilities. It was about an enjoyable game, not a cosmetic game. Why else do you think sequels take so long to come out now? Unrealistic expectations. If we, as gamers, would back off on our demands of the industry, we would get better games more regularly. But sadly, I don’t see that happening any time soon.
  23. I never owned a vita, but had a ton of PSP’s. And even more GameBoy’s. There was something else I had that was a portable device, but I can’t remember for the life of me what the hell it was. I do know that it wasn’t a Game Gear, though.
  24. As far as class is concerned I typically prefer either a thief or a ranger. Wildly different, I know, but those are my favorites.
  25. I’m curious, who was it that invited you?
