I think people choose the system based mostly on what’s going on with another of theirs. Take a game like Final Fantasy 14. Say you’re invested in a game on your Xbox. I don’t know if it’s available on Xbox, this is just the best analogy I can think of. So you’re super invested in a game on Xbox. You want FF14 but have so much going on with your Xbox that it makes more sense to get it on Playstation, or even PC. Another idea may boil down to the controller. For the gameplay the controller from one system may just be more comfortable physically than the controller from the other.

What are the most lunatic accessories that Nintendo ever released in your opinion? To me, it’s the Power Glove. It never worked. I always assumed it was released for games like Punch Out. And since it didn’t do shit there either, I had assumed that there were supposed to be games made specifically for use with it. None that I’m aware of ever came out. I mean the zapper was self explanatory and worked well. As did the Super Scope. But that damn glove is a black mark on Nintendo’s past.

If I could afford it, I would buy a Virtual Boy. Not because I want to play it. The damn thing always blinded me for half a day after only a few minutes of using it. I would buy one just to have it. I dunno, it’s difficult to explain adequately.

I have to agree with you @kingpotato. Unless you’re only into online gaming and spend the majority of your time on those games, then I don’t think it’s worth it. But I also have to say that it seems to be the way gaming is going. Everything’s about to be an online purchase with a subscription to something required. No more physical copies of anything. And for those of us that don’t like online gaming, we’re almost required to be classic gamers. That doesn’t bother me, as I’m a classic gamer anyway. But it could be the deal breaker and end of gaming for others

I burned out on a favorite game here about 2 weeks ago. It's gonna be a while before I start playing it again.

Unless I go back several generations, looking up any extended family is a moot point. I have no aunts or uncles. Both of my parents were only children, as were their parents. So I would have to look up great grand parents, and great great grandparents to get started. And to be honest, if I have to go back that far, I don't care to find any of them. So we'll never meet. There are no family reunions. All I have to do is look in the mirror for that. So I'm it. When I die, there will be no one of my line anymore.
