  1. Just because it's cold in the room doesn't mean it's not overheating. You may have a faulty disc. Just because it's new doesn't mean it works. If you recall I had a similar problem with several copies of the same edition of a FF8 press. I would suggest hitting up a used game shop if you have one nearby and picking up another copy and see if that fixes the problem. If you play it a lot, it could just be something as simple as the disc itself getting worn out. I've had that happen with a lot of games, both cartridge and disc.
  2. What is the most horrific thing you have ever personally witnessed in real life?
  3. If you were given immunity ahead of time, is there anyone you know, in your own life, that you would kill?
  4. What would you prefer: a blue iguana or an albino python? And for those wondering, yes the blue iguana is real.
  5. With a PS3, it's most likely either the CPU overheating, the processor feeling over run, or you have too much saved on there already. How big is your hard drive? Is it one of the first series that can also play PS2 games? There were a hell of a lot of bugs with those, and they locked up constantly. That's why Sony rereleased the system minus the PS2 capabilities, even though it still says PS2 internally. I would honestly recommend deleting some games if you haven't touched them for a while. Also are you running off the disc or are you running a download? That can also affect it. The PS3 is a pretty moody system. It's pretty much just an upgraded PS2, but a lot more bitchy.
  6. I won't even watch Return Of The Jedi unless it's an old VHS copy. The reason behind that is because on the DVD's after episodes 1-3 were out, they removed Darth Vader at the end as part of the force, and put Hayden Christianson in it instead. With that one small edit, they completely destroyed the entire movie.
  7. With this song, do not watch it after dropping acid. If you do you will be apologizing to every thread in your sock for World War 1.
  8. To be honest, SMB 1. Remember I’m coming from the Atari age. The graphics and system power were pretty primitive. But when NES came out, the graphics and capabilities of the system were insane. It was so advanced.
  9. I would have said a Zelda sequel, but I don’t have to worry about that. There will never be a shortage of those. So I’m thinking a true sequel to FF8. As for what direction to go I would need a little more time to think on that one.
  10. It’s actually kinda difficult for me to get away from my favorites. So I’m pretty much replaying them all the time.
  11. Yeah, but we all knew they were going to try to cash in on the digital gaming craze. Who’s next? Disney? Playboy? Somalia?
  12. How about all of the above? I hate online gaming, especially if it’s multiplayer. I won’t submit to the whims of others if I want to do something else. Also I’m not willing to waste my time relying on someone else so I can succeed. If it all goes digitally online, then you’ll never see my broke ass again. Maybe an antique store will have a few physical games that are of interest, but I wouldn’t hold my breath.
  13. I'm pretty sure it's just like any other system. A lot of bugs in the software on initial launch that they need to work out. And way too many power requirements that most gamers simply can't afford at the moment. Give it a year or two, fix the bugs, then relaunch the Stadia, and we'll see how it goes.
  14. I know it's time to quit, at least for the day, when the boredom starts setting in at the point where I don't want to be anywhere near a game. It's a daily thing. It's not me burning out for an extended period, it's just my internal (clock I guess) telling me it's time to shut the system off.
  15. I can't game on my couch. In fact, I can't even sit on it. And this has nothing to do with my disability. The reason is because the damn thing is so comfortable (to me at least) that I fall asleep literally every time I'm on it. So now, unless my intention is to take a nap, I don't even get on it. But my dogs do, and they absolutely love it.
  16. I’ve never been big on accessories. Unless there’s a game I want that requires it, I don’t buy them. But even then, the only accessories I have ever owned are the NES Zapper and the occasional turbo controller. Unless you count a rumble pack for the N64.
  17. If you’re referring to musicals like The Sound Of Music, then I would say no. If you’re talking about musicals like Sweeney Todd and The Phantom Of The Opera, then I don’t see their popularity going up, but I don’t specifically see it going down either. It’s a very niche type of movie and doesn’t have the audience of other genres.
  18. We’ve all got something about us that is a few steps beyond quirky. Something that would make people look at you and “WTF is wrong with you?”. I’m no exception. The thing about me, is that I used to take a blanket and sleep in cemeteries on nice nights. I found it soothing and calming. I commonly saw apparitions. I’m not saying they were ghosts, but they were translucent humanoid shapes. So freaks of the world unite! Wear your freak badge with pride! So what makes you a freak?
  19. The break dancing car. That was a good one. And the shot of the guy not seeing the enemy that was right beside him was too good. He was poking him in the ribs with a pistol, and he couldn't see him.
  20. Actually the video game console came out first, if you're talking about people having a PC in their home. The Atari 2600 came out in 1977 and the Colecovision followed in 1982. That was before people were getting computers in their homes for the most part, unless they were wealthy. And technically, Bill Gates hadn't gotten PC's up and going yet. PC refers to a non Macintosh system. In reality the Apple II was before the PC. So technically it's the other way around. PC's wouldn't be here without consoles.
  21. We've all noticed it by now. Game developers don't know when to stop. Apparently they've never heard the gamblers advice of "Quit while you're ahead". Take any popular game. Let's say Assassins Creed. I've seen a lot of people talking about it. I have yet to really play it so I'm going to go with what I've read. The first one was good. The second was better. The third was ok. Now they're puking up anything they can so they can put those two words; Assassins Creed, on the cover. I don't know how many games there are in the series. But it doesn't stop there. The worst one I can think of is Mario. I think there's over literally 100 Mario titles and spinoffs. Put "Mario" on it, and people cream their pants. Every franchise has done it, and every coming franchise will do it. They just don't know how to quit when they reach the top of the mountain. Luckily there have been a few games that were smash hits, like Dante's Inferno. A masterpiece, popular as hell. No plans for a sequel. Keep it that way. I know that later editions to some franchises have been the crown jewel of the series. Final Fantasy 7 for example. And Square will never top the success of FF7. My favorite is FF8, but I don't partake in self deceit where I have convinced that it was the most successful. Quite the contrary. It was the most unpopular until FF13 came out. But Sonic, Mario, Zelda, Castlevania, FF, and others. Give it a rest. I understand that some franchises are too popular to just let die. I really do. But do we really need Mario Teaches The Bible? Do we need Sonic Pinball? I highly doubt it.
  22. It means he's playing the games on his PC, and at some point he wants to record the gameplay and put it on YouTube, similar to what PewDiePie does.
  23. I always liked Roller Coaster Tycoon, and Zoo Tycoon. They’ve really simple and fun. One that you might consider, it’s not particularly a sim game, but Age Of Empires is a masterpiece. The first one was great, but the second one was flat out amazing. The third one however, sadly was an absolute abomination. The expansion packs for AOE3 added absolutely nothing to the game. If you want to try the game, get AOE2. You won’t regret it.
  24. What is humble bundle? I’ve never heard of it.
