  1. While I grew up with Nintendo, I have to say that the most comfortable controller is the PS4 controller. I like that PlayStation kept the same controller for every system instead of changing it every time, but the slight adjustments that they made with the PS4 controller made it get my vote. If I was going to go with a Nintendo controller it would be the N64 controller.
  2. If it's purely optional and doesn't hold the game back, then I don't have a problem with microtransactions. But if they're more or less required to get to a certain point or quest/sidequest in the game, then that's when I start having a problem with it.
  3. Steam occasionally has a free game or two, but don't hold your breath on that.
  4. I knew Lucas was going to regret selling Star Wars. Granted the billions they offered seemed pretty sweet at the time, but he should have known that he would make more money than they could offer if he kept it, and also that they would destroy the series. Episodes 1-3 were bad enough, especially 2 & 3 (Hayden Christianson) but did we have to see one of the greatest sagas thrown into the shit shredder?
  5. Another game that could arguably be called one of the worst is Battletoads. The spin off from TMNT is obvious even to the blind. But that’s not the problem. The concept of the game was a good idea. The difficulty issue is where the problem lies. It’s hard enough in single player, but in co-op mode the difficulty is amplified 100 fold. Because now you have to worry about the other player. Their attacks against enemies see no difference between them and you. And if one on you screws up, both of you suffer the consequences. Take the jet bike level. One player misses a jump, you both die. The difficulty of the game was just way too much for the era. Even now it’s still a little much.
  6. Innovation takes a hell of a lot of time and work. I think too many developers have forgotten that.
  7. And I get this setup at........?
  8. If he's going to blow that kind of money on a mobile game, then send it my way instead. I could use it a lot more productively. Getting my van fixed, or a whole new disability van would be number one on the list. I think mine is about to completely crap out on me.
  9. I would definitely be one of those alienated gamers. Aside from the allure of classic systems, another reason I stick to the old stuff, is because it is mostly single player. I think the only multiplayer games I have are early Mario games, and fighting games (MK, SF2, etc.). Other than that, virtually everything I own is single player.
  10. Excellent point, and spot on. Taking a break or a day or two is never a bad idea if you feel the need/desire to. Worry about clearing your head instead of clearing that dungeon. You killed it killa!
  11. Contact whatever the hell it is that follows me every goddamn where I go. To tell it to piss off, and that I'm tired of its shit. All Hallows Eve is the time of year when the veil between realms is at its thinnest. So It will be easier to contact this fucking thing tonight.
  12. I remember this too. My question was always, what, exactly, does this crap add to the gaming experience? There is no electric attachment. All it does is show people that you had $60. I'm still searching for a reason other than that. My best friends mother is a tennis nut and got herself a Wii so that she could play any time she wanted and actually bought this shit. I got one, and I'll admit that I enjoyed the Wii Sports that came with the system. The boxing and bowling were the two I had the most fun with. However I never needed or used this junk. But alas, as already stated, I still have yet to find a reason for this pointless junk.
  13. Close enough. You still gamed.
  14. I got Q*Bert recently. I never knew it was available on mobile. Since then I've been playing it constantly. Which is nothing new. I have it on Atari and NES. I've played it like a fiend since I was a kid. It's way up on the list for all time favorite games for me.
  15. I would have to say it was over the weekend of the 11th-13th. I was in KC for the RenFest.
