  1. If I have any interest in new generation consoles, I always wait at least a year to buy one. The price will have gone down after that, bugs will have been fixed, and there will be more games available. It’s a win/win to me.
  2. Well my night was ruined. St Louis fucking slaughtered Boston.🤬 I’ve always hated the Blues, despite the fact that I’m from Missouri. And they beat Boston 4-1. I don’t have any strong feelings towards the Bruins one way or another, I just didn’t want St Louis to win. My team always has been and always will be the Detroit Red Wings. Win or lose I will NEVER abandon them. Naturally I’m bummed when we lose, but I don’t turn on my team. Our last cup was ‘08, so we’re due for another one.
  3. I'm talking about the NHL. The Stanley Cup final game is tonight.
  4. I don't know if this is just a pure bullshit rumor I've been hearing, or if there's any truth to it. But I've been hearing lately that there are some Xbox games that can be played on a PC. Supposedly since they're both made by Microsoft, the systems are capable of reading them just the same. I've never heard of a game being able to be swapped between a console and PC like that, but I wanted to get it straight from the horses mouth, so to speak, and find out what's up with that. I'm on the side of calling bullshit, but if it's true that I can pop an Xbox disc into my PC and play the game, then that would be something that would blow my mind.
  5. Wow. That's insane. It reminds me of that South Park episode where Stan was buying Canadough constantly in that dumbass Terrence and Phillip game.
  6. If it's only available on Xbox and not PC, then I'm screwed. I can't stand the Xbox system.
  7. Wasn't the original inspiration for GTA supposedly drawn from the 1993 riots in LA after the Rodney King trial?
  8. I have the FF7 movie, and remember the Sonic cartoon well. But I also remember the Mario Bros cartoon and the Zelda cartoon. We also have a crossover from the other side as well. I have played maybe 1 Simpsons game that I actually liked. Beavis & Butthead on SNES is ok if you feel like playing something that is completely nuts while you're stoned. The Rocketeer and Wizard Of Oz have made their appearances on video games, both of which I have. Neither of which are worth the plastic they're made of. I think they should just leave shit in the realm it was created in.
  9. The last Sim game I played was on a Windows98 system. It was Sim Farm. I haven't played a Sim game since then.
  10. That depends. Are we talking next gen consoles strictly, or are we talking any console from any generation? If it's next gen, then it depends on all its capabilities. Is it reverse compatible? How far? Is it DVD/Blu-ray/4K DVD? What are the specs? Will a rerelease have more capabilities (think Xbox One X)? Are there any add-ons that I would have to buy? Previous generations, it depends on what comes with it. How many games, controllers, cables, memory, etc. If it's a cartridge system, say SNES, is it the first series or second series? Is it complete in box, or just a loose console? It really varies on SO much.
  11. @StaceyPowers You knew this was coming. It's almost like you baited me.😉 Final Fantasy 8. It has great quests and side quests, also if you want to stop at pretty much any random point and power up your characters, you can do that as well. Right now for example I'm at the end of disc 2 getting ready to go into Galbadia Garden. but I stopped to play Triple Triad to get some cards so I could mod them into items I needed so I could improve everyone's weapons. I'm also just running back and forth on the Hasberry Plains beach killing Fastitocalon-F's and Adamantoise's to collect AP to learn a few abilities. I have the first 9 GF's, and I'm going to be collecting 2 more when I get to Galbadia Garden. I play and replay this game hundreds of times a year. I can't say definitely for sure, but I think this is most likely my absolute favorite game ever. There's only one reason I can't give 100% yes on that: Zelda. If it wasn't for Zelda, then I could say that FF8 is my absolute favorite game.
  12. This both frightens and upsets me. Is there not one game that is sacred? Can we have one game that isn't turned into some shitty fucking movie or, god forbid, an even shittier cartoon?
  13. Yeah but there is no nostalgia in the flashback systems. they have their preloaded games, but nostalgia is owning the original actual item as it was when it originally hit the market. Take classic gamers. We would rather spend an hour fighting the original NES trying to get Mario to work, than hook up an NES Classic and get it to run the very first time. That's nostalgia.
  14. Triple Triad was always easier than Go Fish to me. The only time I had a problem with it was if I was dumb enough to attempt the Queen Of Cards side quest. I don’t even consider that anymore. As for IRL card games I used to play MTG a ton. I was pretty damn good too, but that was during 8th edition.
  15. I would have been willing to bet Boston had taken the cup in 5 games, but since we’re going into game 7 Wednesday, I was a bit off on that one.
  16. I always liked Foghorn Leghorn. He was just such a jackass that I couldn't help laughing. Especially when his nephew was around.
  17. I remember Atari being the last step to AI and robots taking over the world. Still waiting on that one.
  18. I know jack shit about modding, but I wouldn’t be so quick to say it’s not possible. I’m sure if you met the right hacker it could easily be done. For a price.
  19. Ma 6.5/10 Went to see it last night. It wasn't as good as I was hoping. It wasn't horrible, but it wasn't good enough that it's something I can see myself watching again.
  20. Another useless weapon is the magic powder in Zelda: A Link To The Past. There is only one time you need it, and that's in the bats cave next to the blacksmiths house. Other than that, unless you just enjoy playing with it, you will never use it again. It serves absolutely no purpose whatsoever. The tyrfing in Castlevania: SOTN makes no sense as well. it's a cursed sword that when you get it, has an attack of zero. It will not do a single point of damage no matter how many times you strike. You have to level way the hell up before it takes on an attack value. Why the hell would they even put something like that in the game? Exactly what purpose does it serve other than to waste space in my inventory?
  21. That just seems comical to me. The admin just reached 500 posts. You would think that being an admin he would have more posts than just about anyone. Hell I haven't been here all that long, and even I have more posts than @DC. Granted it's not by much, but still.
  22. That movie came out when I was in middle school, and it still feels weird to me to think of it as an old movie, even though it clearly is. Actually any of the movies I grew up on are now really old, but it just feels so odd to realize that. I mean, I'm 37 now, so anything I grew up on is pretty much ancient. I seriously doubt anyone here remembers Howard The Duck or Boyz N The Hood.
  23. I considered SMB2, but for me it just had to be Castlevania.
  24. Heath Ledger was a great Joker. There's no argument there. But you can't count out Jack Nicholson as one of the best. He's right up there with Ledger. They both brought their own view of insanity to the character, and made their roles unforgettable. The best line Nicholson delivered, in my opinion, was "Where does he get those wonderful toys?" It's hard to top that one.
