  1. I recently was able to get one for $600, and it came with 3 games. It was a hell of a deal, and I jumped on it immediately. One game is the launch copy of Spiderman, and it's unopened. Neither me nor @Rain Dew are into superhero games, so we're leaving it sealed, and waiting to see if it goes up in value at all. If it does, then we may hang onto it in case we ever need cash for something. Like emergency money. You never know. But in terms of console vs PC, I personally have always preferred console. Granted there are some games that are PC exclusives that I absolutely love. AOE2 and Diablo II come to mind immediately. But there are also a lot of console exclusives that I love. The Legend Of Zelda is one of the main ones.
  2. It's actually easier than you may think. Posts load to the thread automatically as soon as you hit submit. Then you can go on to the next one, and post the same meaningless reply. Also people can copy and paste if they so desire. Which is REALLY infuriating.
  3. Ave The staff is always here to help when you need it. Look around, engage when you can and have fun.
  4. Many members are guilty of machine gun posting. I've probably done it in the past more than once. These days, most of the members educate themselves on the topic of the thread, and their replies are a contribution to the thread. Not of just a post. When you can contribute to a thread with a well thought out response, by all means, the forum welcomes it. If you are going to post inane bullshit that has nothing to do with the topic at hand, then it reflects bad on the forum, but especially bad on you. It makes you look like an idiot, and makes the forum look like anything goes, despite there being moderators and an administrator. If you have replied to a thread, that is not to say that you are required to continue replying to the thread. I have dropped many discussions that I had previously replied to. It's not hard to do. We want this place to run smoothly, but posting the same thing in every thread until your fingers hurt gets rid of good topics as it pushes them back. It pisses everyone off, and makes our job that much harder. If you have a meaningful contribution to 5, 10, 15 threads, then by all means, post it. But the machine gun posting has to stop.
  5. Almost forgot, I had to look up that Subaru. It's a sweet ride. There's not a lot of Subaru dealers here, but there are a few. Something like that though, you would probably have to order it, because I'm absolutely positive that they won't be keeping them on the lot.
  6. I get a hell of a lot of enjoyment out of the car. @Rain Dew says it's probably a mid life crisis kind of thing. She may be right, I don't know. But I'm not going to be able to drive her for a while. Gas broke $4 a few days ago. The last I saw it was $4.19 per gallon. And considering that the Camaro is a bit of a gas hog, I simply can't afford to take her out anywhere. If I was to hit a multi million dollar lottery, things would be different. I could driver her all I wanted. But gas is keeping me home unless I absolutely have no choice but to get out. Hell for soda we're ordering it from pizza places like Papa Johns and Pizza Hut. It's $3.50 per 2 liter bottle, but that's cheaper than going to the store and spending $1.70 per bottle when you figure in the gas. Hell cab rides have tripled in price here due to the price of gas. Bus fare has gone up too. Everyone is suffering. ANd here where I live, supposedly we have the cheapest gas in the nation. $4.19, and we have the cheapest gas. I put premium in my car, and that's almost $5. Diesel is over $5, so I feel sorry for anyone that drives a diesel. I actually just checked, and we're in 4th place by 7 cents when it comes to cheapest gas. Oddly enough, Kansas is in first place. But this is averages, not exact prices. As expected, California is the most expensive. Travel, for everyone is out until gas goes down. But that's nowhere on the horizon at the moment. I'm just curious how it is in other countries. @Shagger @Crazycrab can you guys weigh in on this? I don't know where everyone is, but I know you guys are in Scotland. Anyone from a country other than America, I want to hear about your gas prices too.
  7. I had my drivers license. I've had it since I was 16. What I didn't have was the license plates on the car, making her legal to drive. Pay more attention to what people say in their posts. I was talking about license plates, not a drivers license.
  8. Again, you post a reply, but don't finish it. This is getting old. Finish your posts. You're ending your posts like an episode of the Sopranos. That's not a good thing. If you have no intention of finishing a post, then don't post. FINISH YOUR POSTS
  9. Alien 3 on SNES was a good one. I had never seen any of the movies, and to this day the only one I have seen is Aliens (Alien 2) so I have no real idea what is going on other than trying to kill the aliens and escape alive.
  10. I learned something today. I had thought all this time that the Nintendo/Sony partnership was an add on to the N64, not the SNES. I always thought the 64DD was the Nintendo/Sony console. But then again, I never looked into it all that deeply so I guess it's to be expected that I didn't know much about it.
  11. Their handhelds have come with features and abilities that others simply couldn't match. Sure the PSP could watch movies. I don't know much about PS Vita, so I'm ignoring that one for now. But some of the games that Nintendo offers have been classics and fan favorites for 30+ years. And the ability to take them with you when you're on the go, has always been a huge draw. Now with the Switch, not only do you have thousands of games at your fingertips in the eShop, but you can also download things like Hulu and YouTube. The last true home console that they put out was the Wii in 2006. While it sold like wildfire, once people got a full taste of it, the interest waned considerably. The Wii U afterwards, was a failure at a hybrid system. But through failure, we learn. They looked at what they had done wrong, and worked to fix it so that when the Switch was released it was a huge success.
  12. Broken bones and concussions were standard. Dehydration and malnutrition were also standard. Hypothermia was as well. I don't know which of them would have been the worst ones. There are others, like my uncle trying to kill me, but that isn't really a physical injury, but more of an emotional one.
  13. Great. The dream of every woman is to have arm pit smell between her tits.
  14. I use both Discord and Slack, and in my experience, Slack is better. I find it more user friendly and better all around as a communication system of that nature. Until just now, I had never heard of Connecteam. So I can't comment on that one.
  15. Fast travel comes in REALLY handy in RDR2 once you acquire it. You can go to so many places in the blink of an eye, no matter how far you are away from them. I love it. When I go after the white Arabian, I always get fast travel first. That way I can get her, and don't have to spend all damn day riding to get to where she is.
  16. I use a Game Genie. I power up my enemies, and make myself weaker. They take more hits to kill, and I take less hits to be killed. Depending on the codes available for the game, I'll tweak it in other ways. When you get too good at your favorite games, you have to find ways to make it interesting again. I also skip upgrades when they aren't required.
  17. Batman and Friday the 13th on NES were both good games. At least in my opinion they were. Some may say that they were horrid games (just ask the nerd) but I personally enjoy them.
  18. I quit playing DKC a long time ago. The game just pisses me off way too much and I lose my shit and act like a spoiled little girl. I have all 3 that are on SNES, but I've never played the third one. I only have them to complete the trilogy. I have beaten the first 2, but I'll never play them again. I have DKC 64, but I've never really given it much thought. Actually I think it's one of @Rain Dew's games. I'm not sure. I would have to ask her. TL/DR - I'll never play another DKC game again.
  19. The only F2P game that I can think of that I have spent money on is sudoku. I have it on my phone and it's free to play it, but it has a lot of ads. However for $15 per year you can get rid of the ads. Since I play it constantly, it was a no-brainer for me to pay it.
  20. It's a ROM-hack, so you're going to have a hard time finding it unless you can find it on eBay. But don't say I didn't warn you. It's honestly cruel in it's difficulty. And if you want my opinion, I think the ones that made it actually intended for it to not be beaten. And it's not even listed as the most difficult one. That wards goes to Parallel Worlds.
  21. Sad as it is, I can totally see him doing that. A few die hard Twitter addicts will pay it, but the rest will give him a big 🖕 and go somewhere else as they watch him drive one of the biggest social media sites in internet history straight into the ground. And with his money, before long this video will be reality:
  22. I'm not even going to dignify that with a response. Quite well. I have come up with a few tunes, and sometimes I just start playing and let it go wherever it goes. But don't let it fool you. That's 2 pipes you're blowing into at the same time, and using your fingers in unison on each of them. It's very difficult to learn. Sure you can blow into it, but where most people have trouble learning is that they keep blowing into only one side instead of both at the same time. Like any other instrument, it takes years to learn, and more years to master. I've been playing it for about 10 years. Also you have to keep up with cleaning, as the saliva in your breath can deteriorate the inside of it if you don't clean it. Not to mention other common environmental hazards like dirt/dust and things like that. Too much moisture in the air can cause it to rust if you get a cheaply made one. A quality aulos wildly ranges in price depending on where you get it and who you get it from, so I couldn't even give you a ballpark. I've had mine so long that I don't even remember what I paid for it. The main downside is that it's a rare instrument these days, so you're most likely NOT going to be able to find a teacher. You're going to have to go in blind and hope for the best.
  23. The video is from November of last year, but this still pisses me off to no end. I want this fucker gone. Forever. If he cares about the world even in the slightest, he will never have kids.
  24. I'm not looking to get rich, although it would be nice. I just want to be financially secure. Not having to scrape by, living check to check.
  25. If anyone honestly thinks anything else is going to happen here, they’re deluding themselves. Ever since Adolf seized power in 2016, republikkklans have been whipped up into a frenzy. They think that destroying what’s left of the formerly “United” States Of America, is going to get them what they want and make their lives better. And damn the rest of us. Especially those who are intelligent enough to know better.
