  1. I recently got into playing Sudoku. It got easy quick to the point that now I play it on expert level. And I've only been playing it a couple weeks. My best time this week 8 minutes 14 seconds. I had one previously that was 2 minutes and some seconds. But that one was so easy I just blew through it. Unfortunately the app I have only keeps track of your times for one week. I actually got to enjoying it so much, that I paid to block the ads. $15 per year. More than worth it to me.
  2. I've heard that one since I was a kid. It's always been creepy as hell, and one of my favorites. But here's a few true ones that happened to me personally. I've had 3 things happen to me that I can't figure out to this day. Also every year I have the same dream on the same day. I moved into a small farmhouse several years ago. The owners had a small antique refrigerator in the basement. I was down there with the landlord one day, and set my glasses down on top of the fridge. I had some of those clip on sunglasses on my glasses. You know the ones that usually break 20 minutes after buying them. This is relevant later. They were all I could afford. Well I went to do something and forgot to put them back on. I went back to the fridge for my glasses and they had vanished. The landlord hadn't taken them. Actually he said he hadn't even seen them. And I believed him because he hadn't been anywhere near that fridge the whole time we were down there. We both searched the entire basement for them and never found anything. They were just gone from existence. I was pissed because it meant I had to pay for a new pair of glasses. Fast forward about 3 years. I was in the basement doing laundry and walked by that fridge. Sitting on top of it were the clip on sunglasses. My glasses weren't there but the sunglasses were. I never went into that basement again and started going to a laundromat. I was in bed trying to sleep one night. @Rain Dew was beside me already asleep. We would always go to sleep with the TV playing because it distracts our mind and keeps it from running which keeps us awake. Well, I was laying there watching TV, and something I couldn't see started wrapping what felt like hands around my throat strangling me. I couldn't breathe, or make a sound. Nothing could come out. I started thrashing around in bed trying to fight off whatever the hell it was that had me. My thrashing woke @Rain Dew up and she went into panic mode. She didn't know what to do so she jumped up and ran for the light switch. Just before she got to the switch the thing let go of my throat and raked what felt like razor blades across my chest from just below my left collar bone to the bottom of my ribs on my right side. When we looked, there were hand marks all the way around my neck and I was bleeding from the claw marks. To this day the scars still burn, and I'm scared to go to sleep a lot of the time. You all know I'm in a wheelchair now. I have advanced muscular dystrophy if you're wondering why. I usually bring a 2 liter bottle of soda with me into my home office so I don't have to go back and forth between it and the kitchen. One day I had just come into my office and realized I had forgotten something. I set the bottle, that I hadn't even opened on my desk and went back to the kitchen. When I came back to the computer room, the bottle was sitting in the middle of the floor, completely empty. I just stared at it for a moment, not sure what to do. I left the room and grabbed an anxiety pill and gun. I went back to the office, and the bottle was now sitting on my desk, full, and unopened. I have no explanation for any of these. But I do feel a cold breath on the back of my neck pretty much nonstop when I'm in my home office. So maybe something is screwing with me.
  3. That's a sad fact, but one that we can't ignore. It was Nintendo after all that saved gaming after the video gaming crash in 1983. If it wasn't for them and the NES, we wouldn't be talking right now, as there would be no market.
  4. I wasn't a fan of the DS series as a whole. It just never appealed to me. I always preferred some form of Game Boy.
  5. Yeah but any room is a panic room if you've lost your phone in it.
  6. When I was a kid (and still able) I absolutely loved hiking. I would disappear into the woods for a month or so every summer and just live off the land. If I was able I would be out hiking every day still. But, alas, I'm no longer able.
  7. There are paid contributors for the articles. There's an about VGR link that shows you who the contributors are. As for the pics, I can't say if that's actually them or a stock photo. A lot of people use stock photos because they don't want their face online if they can avoid it. Granted, all of our faces are online somewhere (almost everyone has Instagram, Twitter, and/or Facebook but that's somewhat irrelevant as not everyone does), but a lot of people are super serious about their privacy. So I'm sure a couple staff members have used a stock photo, or one of a friend to maintain as much privacy as possible. Me personally, I have a throwaway FB account, simply because EVERY-FUCKING-THING is on Facebook and no one uses a simple damn website anymore. The only social media I actually use would be YouTube. That is if YouTube is social media. I don't know if it counts or not.
  8. Rats are not toys, nor are they games. They save lives.
  9. If I start talking about it, I'll have a panic attack. Besides, I've already said.
  10. @killamch89 posts his ass off. He is one of the most active members we have. He's here almost every day, and always chips in. I for one have gotten to enjoy reading his posts, as he always has something of real quality to contribute.
  11. The ones you're referring to are consoles like the Atari 2600 and NES that are still sealed, CIB, and in literally perfect condition. No dings, no scuffs, no tears in either the box or the plastic wrap. As pristine as it was when it shipped out from the factory. Like I said I have an NES that is CIB including all the manuals and the styrofoam. But the box is rough as hell. I could get its retail price or maybe a little more for it now. Somewhere in the $150-$200 range. You have to be an EXTREMELY wealthy collector for the perfect ones. We're talking the high millions to billions in your bank account if you want these pristine collectables. I absolutely agree. I buy and play what I like. That's what I think everyone should be doing. Don't worry about what someone else has. Whether you have 3 games and they have 3,000 games is nothing important, and should never matter. As long as you enjoy those 3, then you're probably ahead of the one with the thousands. Typically because they most likely have a lot that just collect dust because they just don't get to them and/or lost interest in them. It's usually due to burnout from beating it several times. And I'm no exception. I have several classics that I absolutely love, but haven't played in years because I beat them too often and completely burned out on them.
  12. When it comes to bed, dogs are plain old greedy. But personally, I wouldn't want it any other way.
  13. It cost $600. Considering retail is $500 (disc edition) and that we got 3 games with it, we actually saved money. PS5 games are still all around $60+ each on average (here anyway), so to buy just the 3 games we would have spent close to $200 on games alone. So we found the deal of a lifetime.
  14. I already said how I got it.
  15. Something that was unbelievable happened. I never could have thought such a thing was possible, and neither did @Rain Dew. She got me into online gaming. I’m playing FFXIV. She’s training me so that I know what the hell I’m doing, but once I have the game down, we’ll be on there a lot.
  16. We got a PS5 today. I bought it as a gift for @Rain Dew. Someone was selling one on Craigslist. The guy said he got it thinking he would play on it, but his heart was in PC gaming. So I pawned one of my guns, and we went and got it. It’s a disc capable version. Obviously. But we finally got one. So we’re caught up with the new gen of games. We just want an Xbox Series X instead of the Series S that we have. The guy included some games since he wasn’t going to need them. Spiderman Miles Morales, Nioh, and Nioh 2. We’re looking forward to playing this thing.
  17. I can recommend a few channels. Mr Nightmare Lazy Masquerade Corpse Husband Chilling Scares MrBallen And if you like people with no inflection and a monotone annoying voice, check out Top15's or look for Chills. It's the same person, and while his videos are intersting, he really needs to hire a narrator. I'll post one real quick so you can see what I'm getting at.
  18. The problem with that second video is that if you look at it, the letters on his jacket are backwards. Someone has some pretty shitty video editing skills if they can't even get that one right.
  19. I used to have a 1981 Honda that I absolutely loved. The carbs went bad in it though, and then @Rain Dew's parents decided it was theirs to dispose of and gave it away to one of their friends, like they have done with so much of my other stuff (including 2 trucks). Don't ask about the law. Her father is a lawyer. So I'm 9 ways of fucked. They also destroyed my birth certificate, social security card, and the title to my motorcycle. And that was just the minor shit.
  20. I lose at least half of the bed when my pitbull sleeps with me. Even if @Rain Dew isn't there she still sleeps on me. She won't go to the empty side of the bed. My chihuahua does the same thing. She curls up in the bend of my knees to sleep. Those two pin me down and don't allow me any room on the bed. They have even pushed me out of the bed once. I woke up when I hit the floor, and they looked down at me like "Whatcha doing down there?" Bitches.
  21. It's possible. If I remember right, he's done it before in a tie. Maybe see who can tell the best political, yet nonpolitical joke as a tie breaker?
  22. Hopefully that note will finally get through a few thick skulls, but after a peek at their Twitter, it seems to have fallen on deaf ears, and dead brains.
  23. Yeah. I just said that.
  24. When I have the money I might pick up a copy. For the moment though, like everyone else, I have more pressing matters.
  25. Sometimes the old stuff is more valuable than the new stuff. If I was to sell absolutely all of my gaming (consoles, games, controllers, etc.) I could easily get over $15,000 for it. With the right buyer I could very probably get close to $20,000. If the only thing we were talking about is Switch, I have 123 DDL's and 23 carts. But compared to the rest of my library, I'm starving for Switch games. Some games I have, have only went up in value since buying them. Many of them have either remained where they were, or depreciated in value. So it's always the luck of the draw. I also have some CIB mint condition games and systems. So that helps the value.
