I think I have skipped a lot of xbox generations. But so far went through PS, PS4 in sequence so not missing a generation. I may even have skipped Nintendo generations too.

You are right on that part. I have seen a lot of twitchers and instagrammers promoting them. I guess that could be one reason. But the thing is the performance review (I am not sure if they are also influenced) are also praising them with comparison with other products.

More I jump into the mobile scene, I see not much value in the platforms like Nintendo Switch and the Nintendo Switch Lite. I mean you have android and iOS, so spending time on swithc series is a bit extra cost.

I recently also made one group in whatsapp and added only myself. I use that for taking notes and also to drop the files into it. Telegram already has feature for something like this named saved messages. So I make use of that for quickly transfering files from desktop to mobile and vice versa.

If we consider the amount of budget it takes to beat the established companies. I think there must be a way to beat these existing players but as of now the budget would be too high for consoles to even get sold in near future. But keeping all that stuff aside, I think cross platform features if added to the existing consoles, it would just get tough in context of competition.
