There is a possibility that it may work for some kids and not work for others. There are better ways to treat anxiety problems than resorting to games.
Being a Nintendo Switch owner and a gamer, I can very well agree with you on this because the platform have been somewhat successful and great with so many games to play on it.
That can be very frustrating especially when you really want to play the game. But if you can't choose, why not use something like a raffle or draw mechanism to choose randomly..?
When you get to play good old metroidvania games, you can't let go too easily because they are games that leave a lasting impression on you for a while.
If anyone does that, it's going to be their decision and not like you made that decision for them. You can recommend games but the decision to play it is theirs.
They have a very long way to go before they can get back to the good level they operated at in the past. Something should be be done on Silent Hill by now but they need to go about it the right way.
