  1. Alot of the time, especially before the COVID-19 crisis, that 2-3 times a week could easily be 5-6. In between time, there's constant training. Wrestling matches also typically last alot longer than a bout in the octagon. I admit that's less true of fights in boxing, those can go quite long, but they get breaks between rounds and, like @Crazycrab said, these fights are separated by months at a time. So once again, fake is the wrong word.
  2. Fake is the wrong word. Scripted, pre-planned, a show, stunting, yes, but nobody goes through the kind of risk, injuries, pain and wear and tear on their bodies that pro-wrestlers do by doing something "fake".
  3. Welcome to the realm... I mean, forums.
  4. I've gotten back into this the last couple of years. The MITB PPV looks a little lame so far with the exception the MITB ladder match itself. I like how WWE has tried to make the best out a bad thing and let their people get creative, but also truly hate the way they've treated their wrestlers and staff though this.
  5. Yes, when this game comes out, the world will change forever as the Testgina will become a thing. On a more serious note, and not surprisingly, the games rating across the various agencies, regions and countries has been mature, 18+ or what ever the equivalent is everywhere, but NOT banned or censored. Even Australia is allowing it to be sold with that 18+ rating. This good though because CD Project Red aren't being forced change or water down in any way. Of course, strong Langridge, bloody violence, sexual content, drugs, alcohol and scenes of torture all contribute to this as well, so is a very mature. How long before some idiot parent or grandparent buy this for an 8-year-old then tried to blame the game for exposing their precious baby to such horribleness. But yeah, testginas. You know somebody's gonna do it.
  6. I just need to point out GOG isn't a third party store. It's owned and operated by CD Project Red, just like how Stream is owned and operated by Valve. Humble Bundle is a good one though. Unlike key resellers such as G2A (Avoid them like they're COVID-19), they actually do well for developers, especially indie's. I don't really tend go for third party stuff even it is legit, it just feels safer and more appropriate buying from proper store fronts like Steam, Epic Game Store and the aforementioned GOG.
  7. Yeah, that definitely sounds like a bug, and the PS3 version of the game in particular is notorious for them. The Switch port is the definitive version with the DLC, graphical updates and, most of all a lot of patching, so should be much better.
  8. You can go off on your own right away if you want, or you can follow the guy as far as Riverwood (getting a brief tutorial on The Standing Stones along the way) and meet his family in Riverwood who can give you supplies and direct you toward Whiterun for the next quest on the main story. Which family you meet of course depends on whether you follow Hadvar or Ralof into the keep during the Helgen attack. Each family will talk to you and give you equally interesting, but opposing views on the political situation happing in Skyrim. Ralof and his family support the Stormcloaks, whereas Hadvar and his family support the Empire. This doesn't impact on the rest on the game, It's just an interesting insight into the views of these people with regard to the war.
  9. I find it unlikely that a hardware problem (if there is one) would cause problems signing in to your Xbox Account. You XBL account is also your account to sign in to other Microsoft services, such as Windows, Outlook, Hotmail, ect. Try logging into your Microsoft account from another device (a PC would be best) and, if necessary, do a password recovery on that device. other that, all I can suggest is get geared up to dive into the depths of hell that is Microsoft Customer Service. Sorry to do that to you, but it might be necessary. The problems with you 360 reading games sadly is most likely the console. It could also be the condition of the games discs, so have a look at those, but it's happening across multiple games it might to a problem with the 360's disk drive. Finding a replacement console in good condition sounds possible, but the XB1 and upcoming Series X have backwards compatibility, so it may be time to consider an upgrade. You can find a list of all the XBox 360 games that are backwards compatible with the XB1 here. Compare this list to the games you own to consider whether this would be worth it.
  10. No point denying it, this one of the biggest dud months for PS Plus in a long time. Game like Cities Skylines are always better played on PC and the other offering is a game simulating a profession with one of the highest suicide rates. I don't wanna sound entitled, especially since like @digitalsaid PS Plus has been really strong in recent months and with amazing titles like THOU2 and Ghost of Tsushima right around the corner, but what were they thinking?
  11. It's fairly easy to find your way around in Skyrim, the map and user interface can tell you where to go. Once you have selected a quest (or quests) from the "Quests" tab in the main menu, such as below; Markers to indicate where to go appear on the map (here's how it looks with the marked location(s) are in view); (...and if the marked location(s) are off-screen) Markers also appear on the horizontal compass at the top of the gameplay screen to show you which direction to go to reach the maker from where your character currently is. I hope that helps.
  12. A good game come late is a precious memory in the end. A bad game pushed out too early gains a reputation as a band game that's difficult to shake. So yes, it's far better to delay a game than to release it half cooked, but this dilemma can be avoided by having the common sense to not announce release dates to take in those precious pre-orders well before you can possibly know for sure if the game will actually be ready by then, and that is the problem. Game publishers these days are too keen on cashing on pre-orders to realize that announcing a game release a months and months before they can be sure when it'll be finished by said date is a stupid idea. So no, I don't have problem with game delays, but I do take issue with why the usually happen.
  13. Everyone serious enough about PC gaming to own a VR headset will have an actual PC and not a Mac, so this affects literally nobody.
  14. As far as I'm concerned, if people are posting these spoilers on YouTube and social medi, they saddled that pony and now have to ride it. They get no sympathy from me. The automatic DMCA system, especially on YouTube, is dim witted and broken and if innocent people are falling prey to it I hope the get it sorted out, but that's not Sony and ND are not blame for the broken system they have to use are are well within their rights to get these spoilers removed. Discuss the news story, that's fair, but don't actually include the spoilers, that's just common sense.
  15. Hi and welcome. Glad to have you around.
  16. @Crazycrabis right. Not everything has to have a complicated conspiracy to explain it. It's a very popular game that was always going to be a top seller.
  17. In terms of combat, there really isn't much to say. It plays like a fairly normal military FPS. The story though... well, let's just say that does NOT play like a normal military FPS.
  18. Seriously, did you just forget that you posted on this thread already? Why did you ignore the question from @The Blackangel? I'm actually convinced now that when you log into the forum you just open the "recent content" tab and post single sentence replies to all of them with little thought or care for what you actually post. Listen, post count is just a number, nobody values that over the QUALITY of one's thoughts and opinions.
  19. Developers hate physical game copies because of the consumer rights that are part of that package. One can sell, loan, trade and borrow these kinds of games in a way that just isn't possible with digital goods. So as a result, are physical game releases under threat? Yes. Game publishers don't want them any more. PC fanboys will claim there's no problem with this because they've had to live without these kinds of rights for years now and prefer to deflect how beneficial they are rather than fight for them. Physical game copies are, however, a wonderful thing and I desperately want both them and the consumer rights they bring stay forever. Video games exist in a world that evolves fast, so a transition to fully digital is pretty much inevitable, but I just hope this doesn't come at the cost of a physical buyers rights.
  20. An FPS game with rhythmic based combat and... I can't justify it with words, just watch! This may be, at least in concept, the coolest game of the year. It's DOOM, expect the awesome soundtrack is more than a bonus, it's a vital ally.
  21. Ended up buying Assassin's Creed: Rouge. In the right price range and I've never actually played it. Thanks everyone for the help and suggestions. If you want to just lock this topic now @DC, feel free to do so.
  22. It looks good. Feels fresh somehow, despite the fact Vikings and Norse themes have to done to death in video games
  23. In what looks to be a gesture during the COVID-19 lockdown, Total War Shogun 2 is free on Steam until May 1st (so still available for a couple of days since this post). Pick it up here. May as well grab it while you can. The additional content has also been discounted, so you can have all the DLC content for around $10 or the equivalent.
  24. I liked the game, but man did I suck at it. I think I ended up with Two survivors in the end after making a couple of stupid mistakes. These's a number of these types of games that I would refer to as "Interactive Narratives" been getting very popular the last few years and I really enjoy them. Telltale games (Like The Walking Dead, The Wolf Among Us and Batman), the Life is Strange series, Detroit: Become Human, Beyond: Two Souls and Heavy Rain to name a few. They vary in styles, story genres, concepts and plot, so which one appeals to you depends on your (and your wife's) own tastes. Based on what I read in your post, I might recommend Detroit: Become Human, Heavy Rain and Telltale's The Walking Dead in particular, but Life is Strange is my personal favourite for me.
