One that stands out for me immediately is the soundtrack to Carmageddon, mostly because it's an instrumental version of Fear Factory's "Demanufacture" album... A few other stand out's, starting with; This is an overused example, but there is a very good reason for that; One of the best video game intro's ever, and the song "Invasion Confirmed" that plays is great. OK, this one is a little bit of cheating given this was originally a movie theme, but this is one of the best re-mixes/covers of this theme that I've ever heard, Considering this was made for the cartridge based N64, it's pretty impressive;

During normal use it's stays cool. It's only when playing games that really poke it with a stick it'll heat up a bit. Even then it's not hot enough to worry me, it's just a bit uncomfortable to have on your lap. Using a cooling pad is just an extra step I took to help it run more efficiently and increase its lifespan.

It's not quite the same model, but it is similar. Mine is the ASUS TUF Gaming FX505DV with a 6GB version of Nvidia's 2060 GPU and the same Ryzen 7 3750H CPU that's in the laptop @skyfireis looking at. I don't know enough about programming to make that call, but I have been play AC Odyssey on this machine at 1080p (maximum resolution for this screen) at max settings with a frame rate hovering around 50fps. So games run well on this thing, but I would recommend a cooling pad to rest the laptop on when you play as it can get a little hot.

Is the slingshot powered by batteries or does it use batteries as ammo? Either way it's kinda weird.

The games you download on XB1 will all be different sizes depending on the games. 1TB of storage will allow you to have several games installed at once, but how many depends on what games they are. The games will also install updates that need space, so games can take up more space over time. The cloud storage option, as far as I know, cannot to used to store games, but even if you could I wouldn't recommend it would potentially affect game performance. It's mostly for save files, screen captures and other smaller files.

Got it on PS4. It's and party based RPG similar to Dragon Age. It's good, if a bit repetitive and takes patience to play. You play as your own created character sent to politicize and help govern settlers and nativizes in a new, mysterious land all in search for the cure for a deadly illness. The story is OK and offers a lot of choice for your own characters path, but it is a bit slow. Here's the railer if that's any help. I have no idea what it's currently going for on the localized Xbox shopfronts, but the game is currently on sale from the Microsoft store at about 2/3rds off, so I'd check now before the price goes up if you're interested.

I get what you're saying, and having a sprint control mapped to a control stick can be very annoying when it's done badly, but It's hard to tell if a similar system to GRFS would work on Ghosts of Tsushima would because it's a very different kind of game. Open world action adventures can use this kind of control more precisely than a cover based shooter because it's more about melee and duck and doge. Horizon Zero Dawn, for example, also used a sprint toggle mapped to the movement stick, but because it was a toggle instead of a hold, there was no stamina bar so you press it once and just go and relied on more of dodging, melee and precision aiming when fighting at range, it worked fine, and left valuable room to map other controls. HZD I think is more similar to GOT than GRFS is. You're not wrong in what you're saying, but it all depends on the game and, honestly, a control scheme more designed for a cover based shooter I don't think would work that well here.

@Crazycrab Well, I gave you the chance to admit you got this wrong... To alternate between the default download location of a EGS game and another folder, you can literally choose any other folder through the services immediate download options menu though the "Browse", and trust me it works regardless of where your previous installations are; Just hit "browse" and you could put the files literally anywhere. You can't do that on Steam without going through a certifiable nightmare. Whareas with Epic you can choose... wharever below on my SECONDLY hard drive. You can also change the cache file local from the setting's menu. Just saying. But wait, can you transfer files from one disk drive to another even if you have already loaded them and still expect them to work? Well you can't, through Steam, not without an ass load of hassle, but you can more easily expect to do so on Epic. Just copy and paste... This is literally me moving my entire stock of "Epic" games from one drive to over through copy and paste, and they work. You @Crazycrabquite literally had to talk me through the eqivilant process on stream because it's so paranoid and had to use. I will admit I want more out of EGS, and that Steam in many was has more to offer, but denying what EGS does have to the more "simple" PC user can't be denied.

You are right about the third parties, but that's third parties. I mean Ubisoft was a nightmare to sign in to though Epic, but that's Ubisoft being the nightmare they are. You own an EGS games as much as you own them on Steam, Epic and other digital PC platforms. And even though you don't really own a game on steam, people lose their shit about it on Epic despite the same stipulations. The world wants to hate EGS because it's not the same as steam. But that doesn't mean it can't be better.

@Crazycrab I acutely found the installation folder easy to find. You can easily select a new location through the download options. I have been able to select an alternate file location for the cache files very easily. Steam's system is fine, but worse when it comes to changing download location options, but most people have got used to working with Steam and it's bullshit. EGS is actually fine and easier to use.

I know that there's a lot (and I admit, somewhat justifiable) controversies over exclusivity for games and the store's lack of social and user review features, but I would say for simply buying games, It's done well by me so far. Lots of games offered for free, and good games at that, and sales are fantastic. That's especially true of the current sale. I had a £10 coupon available, so I decided to check it out. Got AC Odyssey and it's DLC at 67% off, they then through AC 3 Remastered into the deal post purchase and gave ANOTHER £10 coupon. So that over £100 worth of games and in game content for less that £18 and still have a discount to use.

I respect you too much to lie to you, so I'll give it to you straight. You're haven't been an easy person to interact with on these forums. It does take a very deliberate amount of patience to do so. However, you are, with all due respect to our other members, the most inspiring and enjoyable person to interact with here. You're unique, amazing and witty beyond compare. You have spoken of your "demons" before, and it was my previous experience of playing Hellbade that helped teach me to interact with people who face these challenges and regard them with a new level of respect. When one gets hyped up and exited about something, it's setting yourself up to either meet your hopes or a letdown. It's physiologically very difficult to be overly impressed by something you were exited for. So, to be honest, I can't of a game that really did that. Before the Internet, there was very little to go on to build expectations at all, so I could use games like Zelda: OOT, Mario 64 or something like that because they really did make my draw drop and say "WOW", but that would honestly be cheating because I wasn't really in a place to have any real expectations at all. I think modern games journalism and social media has spoiled us, we just learn too much about upcoming titles to be that surprised any more. Still, there is a game that does fit the pattern for me. This gem form Ninja Theory turned into an exception to the afore stated "spoiled by media" rule because there is no trailer or review that could really prepare you for this game. It's the most psychologically uncomfortable experience I have ever had in media, and that is it's brilliance. You play as Senua, a Celtic warrior suffering from severe psychosis and schizophrenia who delves literally into the Viking Hel in search of the soul of her dead lover... or is it all in her head? And yes, she carries HIS head with her. First note, play the game. Second note, wear a decent headset or set of headphones when you do. The game uses an advance form of stereo audio that, when you wear headphones, you literally feel the voices in her head. It's terrifying, but appropriate to make you understand what people in these situations go through. They actually partnered with and supported a number of mental health charities and mental health experts to make this experience as real, but respectful and informative as possible. This clearly meant a lot to the developers as seen about a year after the game out. A lot of games celebrate their acclaim with an "Accolades" trailer to show some of the awards the game has received. Well, despite winning a lot of awards, let's just say the normal "Accolades" trailer wasn't what they had decided on... Back to the game, It's beautiful. One of the best looking games over the last few years. Very dark, very grim in style, but also incredibly detailed. When you consider this was made on a very limited budget, that means something. Speaking of low budget, the starring voice over role, and voice over award winner that year for this role, was Melina Juergens (Also nominated was Ashley Burch for her role as Aloy in Horizon Zero Dawn and Kiefer Sutherland for his role as Snake in MGS5... think about that for a moment.) and holy shit she deserves it. But who is she? A voice actress starting out, a drama student they could hire inexpensively, a non-union actor? No. She is in fact, the video editor for Ninja Theory's (Developer) public relations department. I'm not kidding, she was an in-house screen test they decided to keep, and why not, she was fantastic. They even went to the lengths to redesign the character model to suit her motion capture and physique. The story is compelling, I've never felt for a character more. She's a desperate, tortured, yet fiercely determined and intelligent soul. Her goal is simple, but not simple to achieve and you're right there with her. It's almost as if you're not role-playing as her, but one of those voices in her head, encouraging her and willing her own instead of some the others that are, well, more doubtful. In terms of gameplay, her mental ill health actually serves the mechanics. Between combat sections, that are simple, but satisfying and daunting whilst offering a fair challenge, the game is mostly broken up by puzzle sections where Senua see's patters, shapes and solutions that most people wouldn't see. It's unique, clever and very well researched. It may only be 8 hours of gameplay with little replay value, but that was reflected in the price. Even new it was half the cost of a brand-new AAA game. Still, it's 8 hours you'll never forget and everyone becomes better for it. There is another thing that piles on the pressure in combat and very brave choice the developers made. A permadeath. Die to many times and/or to quick in succession, and you have to start all over again. I'll just let that dangle there... If you haven't yet, play this game. If you don't want to? Play it anyway. You need it even more than you know.

On topic. I really enjoyed MITB. The ladder match had a great balance of stunts and humour. I was wondering why Becky Lynch Didn't defend the RAW Woman's Title at MITB, but I guess on RAW we got our answer. Huge congratulations to her and Seth Rollins on the pregnancy. It'll be a shame to not see her on WWE broadcasts for a while, but at least it's for such a wonderful reason as opposed to injury or something. RAW itself was really good. The basketball thing was a lot of fun as was watching Zelina Vega's cronies get on each other's nerves, but DAMB Seth! That was savage! NXT was mostly a build up, but after two championship matches last week that's not surprising. Decent't matches still and the storyline are looking promising, so it was worth watching. Charlotte Flair is being talked about too much (on all brands) without doing very much, and that's starting to get annoying.

It took years for me to get over that wave of dread that I felt ever time I hear that stupid tune whenever you encounter him in OOT. You're wrong, though,, he's not useful on the top of Death Mountain. If that fucknugget had any intention of helping instead toying with like you're a Dragonfly and he's a cruel kid taking delight in tearing your wings off, he would have carried you top to the top of Death Mountain instead of letting you go through all that bullshit in the first place. I fucking hate him.

Honestly, this ain't news. I've got my hands on this game bundled in for free with something at least twice over years.

PlayStation Plus is a kind of subscription that grants access to online play, exclusive discounts and access to 2 PS4 games per month selected by the powers that be at Sony as part of the package for around $60 per year (it can be cheaper at some outlets through renewal cards). They can also be purchased as shorter terms subscriptions, but these will be a little more expensive per month than the annual cost. The idea was originally pioneered by Microsoft during the XBox 360 era (XBox Live Gold) then Sony created their own version (PS+) and more recently, Nintendo as well (Nintendo Switch Online). Basically, it's way for these companies to subsidize the running costs of their online services and earn additional revenue at the same time. The "free" games and discounts are basically there to sweeten the deal and make it worth buying. What Sucks About These Services? The fact you have to pay to play online. Some games are exempt from this (For example, subscription based MMO's like FFXIV), but most games you have to be subscribed to these services to play games online. Also, the choice is not yours in what games in included in the package. Sometimes they're superb, sometimes not so much or you may already own them. Like @kingpotatosaid, you don't get to keep playing them if you end your subscription. What Doesn't Suck About These Services? The overall cost of the games offered if you were to buy them is significantly higher than the cost of the subscription. Frequently, one month's offering would cost more to buy from said digital store front than the annual subscription, so there is a lot of value to be found in these services. The discounts also can be very significant and can be applied to not just games, but other digital purchases like movies and Digital TV Box sets. For example, PS+ subscribers right now can buy the entire Fast and the Furious movie collection for half price. Hope that clears things up. I personally do think it's worth it, but others are well within their right to disagree and I completely understand that point of view. Really, it comes down to the individual to decide if this is worth it to them or not.

The two shows have different approaches towards humour. South Park is shock humour and social/political satire, whereas The Simpsons takes a family friendly, character driven comedy approach more about mirroring pop culture. There's nothing wrong with either approach, but the problem The Simpsons have is kids don't stay kids and pop culture is constantly changing and moving on, so it really doesn't age well compared to the likes of South Park. Part of me really hates to say it because I like The Simpsons, but I think @Crazycrabis right. Peel away the dated jokes and Simpsons theme from Hit and Run and what you end up with is a mediocre, kid friendly GTA clone. Sorry, but it just won't work.

Turns out I was wrong. The Mystery game is indeed GTA 5, but it's the premium version that includes GTA Online, the expansions, the lot. They even include that $1,000,000 GTA Online Starter Pack. It's nice to wrong sometimes about things, but I still don't trust Rockstar these days. Also, let me say it was nice when Epic Games just simply told you what games were being offered as their free games instead of this "Mystery Game" bullshit they're peddling now. The next game on offer goes live in a week and that's also a "Mystery" now

There is a new "mystery" free game coming in little over a day from this post; ... and I wouldn't be surprised nor delighted to see it being GTA 5. I've been convinced for years that Rockstar register in-game purchases and freebie downloads as game sales to feign the games popularity and keep it in the charts. Why else would this fossil still be charted like it is? If it is GTA5, don't expect even a fraction more the bare bones minimum with at least $50-$60 of DLC needing bought for it be even remotely close to full package.

I remember this trailer from the recent Inside XBox presentation. Looks simple, but good fun this. I would to see a co-op campaign with a good story.

I like followers giving combat support, such as healing, enhancing the party r debilitating the enemy, lets me focus and get stuck in.

Anyway, Just got done watching the latest Smackdown and things are being set up nicely for MITB , well, on that side of the brand at least. It was a good episode as well with great in ring action. The card for MITB still feels a little empty. Correct me if I'm wrong but there's no grudge matches of any kind, only championships, and the RAW Woman's, RAW Tag's, United States and Intercontinental championships are not confirmed. Having said that, a RAW Tag Champ' match between the Viking Raiders and The Street Prophets is surely going to be announced. Assuming the Raw Tag's do get announced, the card looks like this; The MITB Ladder Match (Both men and woman simultaneously, not two separate matches this time) Universal Championship: Braun Strowman (c) vs. Bray Wyatt WWE Championship: Drew McIntyre (c) vs. Seth Rollins SmackDown Women's Championship: Bayley (c) vs. Tamina SmackDown Tag Team Championship: New Day (c) vs. Forgotten Sons vs. The Miz & John Morrison vs. Lucha House Party: Raw Tag Team Championship: The Street Profits (c) vs. The Viking Raiders (This is strongly assumed, but not confirmed) If you include the Pre-Show, that isn't very many matches to fill the time, even if one assumes the MITB Ladder Match would take about and hour. Am I missing something here?

I think the problem is that non-fans of pro-wrestling and it's sceptics are under some sort of delusion that we fans don't understand truth of it, when in actual fact we understand the truth better than they do. It is not a sport, it's entertainment. A showcase of athleticism and drama with the sprit of completion at the heart of that drama, but we know it's a story, not an athletic completion. I've already stated why calling it "fake" is the wrong terminology, and that explanation stands, so I see no point in repeating myself. You can like, dislike and feel what you feel exactly the way you want to feel about, but can I polity request you stay off this thread unless you have something positive to contribute? This blasting of it with the same "It's fake" cliché, even if your right, is something that's been said and heard a million times and it just has no worth to anyone. So please, just let the rest of us discuss this without the pointless aggravation.
