What historic settings do you want to see recreated in video games?
Crazycrab replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
In the interest of back on topic, I would have to stay the 100 years war. To be alongside Joan of arc as she snuck into the city to meet the people, then snuck back out and lead the charge on the Boulevart-Tourelles fort on the outside of the city. That would be pretty awesome in game. -

This ain't friggin Twitter bro, just take a look at title of this topic and then point out the last post that had anything to do with it. I don't think there has been anything remotely relevent since page 9. I'm tired of topics that keep getting bumped by the same people that for some unknown reason feel they need to respond every fucking time a post is made. These topics need to be locked. This is the latest post a General Gaming topic: I finally conceded, and have giving up on Resident Evil.. This does not have a squirt of piss to do with the original topic and the OP keeps bumping it. Don't believe me, as of this post the last SEVEN bits of the OP's activity are related to it and none of them have any bare resemblance to the original topic. @Candy Stick just tosses the word "Capcom" in once in a while to make it seem like it ties back to the original topic but it doesn't. General Gaming Is a cesspool of "post for points" crap. I'm sick of this and I know I'm not alone. There needs to be some restriction to posts per day or at least per topic or subforum. -
I agree, general gaming is a mess. I would never even consider starting a topic in it because it would just get buried under topics have gone off the rails and should've died weeks and months ago.

Outside of maybe hacking and emulation, no.

Not all, there are some games on Gamepass that are console only, even of they are also out on PC. There are also some that are PC only although I believe these are PC only releases anyway (could be wrong). https://www.gamebyte.com/xbox-game-pass-games-list/

Ok, I think you should speak to some people who have been through the process of getting an abortion, because I don't think you've got the correct sentiment at all. There might be a handful of people that don't think twice about it and just see it as an "easy way out" but I fucking guarantee those cases will be in the vast minority. There are a ton of social, economic and health factors to consider nearly everyone with an unwanted pregnancy will weigh their options carefully. You seem to think that people who aren't against abortion have this cavalier attitude about it but this is not the case at all. Me personally, I think if the woman is willing to go through with the pregnancy so that the baby can be adopted by someone or a family who would look after it then that's the best option.

Actually, unless you provide evidence to back up your claim that homophobia is significantly more prevalent within the black community or that the homophobia within that community presents problems that don't exist in others that's pretty much exactly what your doing. Your singling them out for a prejudice that exists in every ethnic group.

Awards Show Will Smith Punches Chris Rock
Crazycrab replied to Reality vs Adventure's topic in Movies & TV
Although he probably could have handled it better I don't blame Will Smith, that joke was in incredibly bad taste and very insulting. It's not like Will Smith is the sort of guy who can't take a joke, in fact I don't think I've ever seen him publicly loose his cool like this. I do give Chris Rock some credit for maintaining his composure, not to mention he can take a punch, but he was outta line. I'm sure these two will apologize to each other in the next couple of days and it will blow over. In the meantime we've got an incredible little bit of TV that will keep us entertained for a while! -
When someone is nominated on this thread their in the running. When the period for nominations expires a new thread opens up with the poll. Admin have enough to do without having to go through a month worth of posts of multiple members to decide who should be in running.
-
Yeah..... I'm not so sure about that. I think some American cars still use cast iron.
-
If everyone was in the running it would a 10 way tie with one or two votes a piece, a spectacular mess. It why we have the nomination stage.

Microsoft screwed the pooch when they called the 2nd console the XBox 360, just because their competitor would be the PlayStation 3 so they didn't want to use 2 and It's only gotten worse ever since. I like Sony's approach, started with PlayStation since it's a station where you play things, then they follow it up with numbered follow ups. Simple, logical and to the point.

Looks impressive, especially for a solo project. What platform(s) are looking to release on?

This is just about the most disgusting shit I've ever had in my life. I thought "pro-lifers" were just Jackass's before but this is pure fucking evil. Now that is so fucking ridiculous that I have literally nothing to say about it. That's like banning people from getting tumors. It would actually be a great idea if it weren't for a rather obvious problem... I would actually like to invite our resident "Pro-life" pal @Jayson into the conversation to see if he actually can tell what it is.

Morality and how it relates to abortion
Crazycrab replied to Techno's topic in Debate, Politics, & Religion
Ectopic Pregnancies are not a "monkey wrench" I'm throwing win an argument. It's a real life threatening condition where the fetus will end in miscarriage no matter what and can also rupture in the fallopian tube which would lead potentially lethal hemorrhaging. So the choices are: Do nothing and just let the mother die. Monitor the mother's condition. Then when the inevitable fallopian rupture occurs rush her into emergency surgery and hope that the rupture can be sealed before she bleeds to death. Even a successful surgery will result in a difficult recovery and lasting damage to reproductive and possibly other organs. By far the safest option is to abort the fetus before the 12th week. The recovery (physical at least) is quick and the risk of long term damage is minimal. Once again I must state that Catholic Hospitals in America and throughout the world will refuse to treat someone with this condition. Some will even refuse to provide treatment for vaginal bleeding following a miscarriage when there was no abortion! I don't keep bringing this up to "throw a wrench". I do it because I actually want to know if there's is any circumstance where you might consider an abortion acceptable or if you agree with them that it is never justified. This will be the last time though because it seems that your answer is becoming clear. -
If you think that then your not very well educated on the science. I'll admit untill maybe a year ago I didn't know much about it either. I want to make it clear hear what I'm about to discuss here is medical science. It all comes down to a condition called Gender Dysphoria. It basically means that a person isn't comfortable with or just doesn't feel like someone of their biologically assigned at birth. If untreated it can lead to a multitude of physiological issues like depression and anxiety. I seen multiple interviews with Trans people all saying the same thing, that they "didn't feel comfortable in their own skin". Posted below are a number of sources on the subject from the UK's National Health Service (NHS) and the American Psychiatric Association. https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/gender-dysphoria/#:~:text=Gender dysphoria is a term, harmful impact on daily life. https://www.psychiatry.org/patients-families/gender-dysphoria/what-is-gender-dysphoria So you see, by saying that a transgender woman is a woman or vice versa. I am in agreement with science. Someone can be mentally wired differently than their physical gender in the same way that a man could be attracted other men instead of woman, or a kid who hates the taste of chocolate or whatever. As to the issue of whether someone who was assigned a different gender at birth to their gender identity has an unfair to advantage in a particular competition. You need to determine not with assumptions or opinions but actual tests and experients 2 things: That one gender has a significant advantage over the other in the first place. That the same advantage carries over at some point over the transition process. I have heard of a number of sports (including the cycling one I mentioned earlier) where the initial advantage does not seem to carry over post transition. Their is probably some where it does but it's case by case and there are still to many sports who's policy are still based on old prejudices and assumptions rather than legitimate scientific evidence. If they have done their experiments and they can prove that a transgender athletes do have an unfair advantage then I'm 100% for restricting where they can complete, but do the science.

The web browser on the PS4 is really slow...
Crazycrab replied to Knight Plug's topic in Gaming Forum
I actually use the web browsers on my PS4 and XBox One quite often, for certain TV and sports streams or even this forum sometimes. -
Morality and how it relates to abortion
Crazycrab replied to Techno's topic in Debate, Politics, & Religion
Yes you can answer opposing points, your just choosing not to and making excuses. Earlier I posted this: Yet your still making that bullshit excuse. Let's say your crystal clear 100% right that what is in the womb during pregnancy from the moment of conception through birth is a legit human being that deserves the same rights and any other person on this earth. What if it's an Ectopic Pregnancy? Yep, I'm doing it again because you ducking and avoiding it. Is it right to take the life of someone who's going to die anyway to save the life of someone else, or should we just let them both die? Because the latter is exactly what Catholic run hospitals all across America believe is the right thing to do: https://www.birthrightfilm.com/key-issue-areas/catholic-healthcare You move @Jayson. -
"People should keep their private lives to themselves and leave each other alone, except when it's this thing I disagree with". STFU! Considering that in your "pro-life" arguments you've singled black people and accused homosexuals of endorsing child molestation, it's so obvious your not on the side of "leaving people alone". There's no point in trying to come across as PC now, we've seen your true colours.

Morality and how it relates to abortion
Crazycrab replied to Techno's topic in Debate, Politics, & Religion
The point Lincoln was making is that it's BS for any to be treated differently. Your talking that completely out of context. -
I was struck with with COVID a couple of weeks back, but thankfully I had just gotten my copy of Horizon Forbidden West to keep me occupied under lockdown. Fantastic game, improves on Horizon Zero Dawn in almost every way.

Churches That Believe They are the Only Way
Crazycrab replied to Jayson's topic in Debate, Politics, & Religion
I just found this article that is seems particularly relevant here. It was written by someone who was inspired by a video game character to leave the life of religious extremism behind. After playing Horizon Zero Dawn this person left the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (aka, The Mormans). It's an interesting read. https://www.androidcentral.com/gaming/horizon-zero-dawn-aloy-religion-mormonism
