I addition to the previous post, the language really doesn't matter (at least for me). What matters for me is the sound and the flow. For example, I've got Sabaton and "Got Mis Uns". There exists both an English and a Swedish version. I'll state for the record that I like both versions but I Iike one more than the other. I'll post them both here: English: Swedish: I will tell you with no bias, pomposity or arrogance whatsoever that the Swedish version sounds better. That is despite me natively speaking the other language. A lot of Opera is in Italian because it was written by Italian's but it doesn't matter. It's rymes and flows natively very well even if you don't know what the words mean. Does "O soave fanciulla" work as well as "O gentle maiden". No clearly not. Not that "O gentle maiden" is necessarily bad but it doesn't work as well as "O soave fanciulla". You almost always hear this opera in Italian for a reason.

Well I know I'm late to this topic but I guess all I've got to say is.... Progress is progress!

In simple terms, money. They thought they could capitalise on the already existing market with this IP. They essentially capitalised on the same assets, re-branded and stuck it with the same monetisation but the playerbase didn't stick with it. I'm not saying it was a bad experience (I've never played it) but it wasn't different or what the the player-base really wanted. This was Red Dead not GTA, despite being from the same developer, they were very different experiences.

Well in the UK if you want to watch live broadcasts you gotta pay the TV Licence. Which covers I think 4 channels and the iPlayer catch up app. I will be honest, most TV, maybe 90% of the original programming is reality shows, soap operas and repeats of the aforementioned crap. That license costs £159 for a year per household. The cost of a basic Netflix subscription is £9.99 per subscription or £119.82 per year and you can use it over multiple devices and addresses. Let's just say... I think it's at least 4 times the content the BBC offers, in terms of quality and quantity. The most embarrassing thing about all this is the BBC's monetising system is so outdated that I can have 4 TV's streaming each of the 4 main channels 24/7 plus having multiple phone's, tablets, PC's and consoles all running the iPlayer... And all I have to do is not let their "inspectors" (which in reality are just door to door sales persons) into my house and there is nothing they can do! The BBC is the most outdated and pitiful company in existence.

It doesn't really bother me. Yeah sure they often shove it in face a bit to much but sometimes they work it in a way that actually makes it really funny. Like Taco Bell in Demolition Man, that was hilarious!

There's no point in denying that poorer communities have problems, they do. That's because they are poorer communities. I'm not going to get into details here because it is case by case and the actual issues are different depending on where you go. However you can, very loosely, generalize it with poverty = desperation. It's not bad people but a bad situation. The only way out of it is for the community to work it's way out of it but this takes years, even generations to accomplish.

A little correction there, since the XBox One, XBox games have been on Blu-ray. So yeah, there is a little bit of Sony in your XBox! Your right about everything else though, Microsoft could not possibly buy Sony or vice versa. One of them would have to tank massively and that is extremely unlikely.

I think a lot of people (including myself) have underestimated the Series S. At the end of the day it's a next gen gaming system for $300, you could barely get the current bottom end graphics card for that right now. Your not getting the full ripped and pipped 4K graphics of the Series X but it's got most of the same features and ultimately playes the same games.

Sony wouldn't sell, unless Microsoft offered a truly ridiculous amount of money but even then I'd have my doubts. Sony have their advantages in the market right now and have time to make more opportunities (not to mention have also a commitment) to make more money in the long run than any short term cash dump than Microsoft can offer.

Sorry to bump this this topic back from the dead but Jim Stephanie (fucking) Stirling (son) just made a video about the hypocrisy already that has already been under discussion here. Since I have pretty much already stated that I agree with these sentiments completely I figured I would just post it here rather than start a new topic about the exact same thing, enjoy!

From what I understand it's kind of a retread of GTA online, only the playerbase didn't stick.

It's got some problems but I think it was decent overall. There are certainly characters and story arcs that felt underdeveloped and rushed. Also without looking the summoning conditions up online you would have no idea how to do them. In fact (and this pure, I NEVER looked them up) the only one ever managed to do was Ramuh and it was pretty much exclusively through blind luck. On the plus side the combat was fun if a little repetitive, it looked great and it did feel like a proper boy's own adventure. The characters despite their obvious and privilege and decadence were still likable. Square Enix did take the time to fix some of the gameplay issues like the restrictive driving mechanics with free patches post launch. I understand the mixed opinions about it but I think it's a decent addition to the franchise.

Speaking as a Scotsman here, I can only think only think of one reason for Scotland to become independent and that would be to re-join the EU, but even debatable. In my opinion it would be a total waste of time and money. Were mostly government internally anyway and the policy's that are still governed at Westminster are stuff like National Defence, immigration and vehicle licensing. These make perfect sense because if someone declared war on us were still the same island and it would be horribly inconvenient if one a passport and the rules of the road suddenly changed traveling from Glasgow to Newcastle. Well for starters the window where a fetus can be aborted ends at 24 weeks, LONG before the baby is actually born. So I'm a little confused as to exactly when in your mind this transition period between the fetus having rights and having none actually should be. Secondly this comparison between a fetus and a slave is ludicrous, I personally don't recall any instance of a fetus being forced into the fields to their masters damn cotton. I usually try to see both sides of the argument but Abortion is an exception. The so called "pro life" is stance is a load of dated, hypocritical bullshit. The people that argue against abortion also argue the use contraception is a sin for fucks sake! The one thing I would agree with is that there are options that are arguably better in most circumstances. like giving the child up for adoption to an infertile or same sex couple that can't conceive naturally.... but oh yeah.... THEY THINK HOMOSEXUALITY IS A SIN TOO! Like @kingpotato said earlier they will defend to the the death the rights of a non-sentient fetus but don't give a fraction of shit about the rights of the one that's pregnant with it. Instead they slut shame and insult them for having sex out of wedlock an not using the contraception their against. They don't make any exception for victims of rape either and Christian hospitals will even refuse to abort even in cases of Ectopic Pregnancies where the fetus cannot survive and the patient's life is in immediate jeapordy. So much for fucking "pro-life"! Even if we were to accept the rights and life of the fetus why do they override the rights and life of the mother that actually has feelings? It's still a hypocritical and disgusting point of view and I make no apologies for calling it out for what it is.
