  1. You can still watch it on the topic I posted. It was all about Gran Turismo 7. GT has never really been that much of a thing for me but it looks impressive.
  2. Sorry but like pretty much everything else that has ever been written when it comes to GTA VI, this is just a bunch of clickbait rumour mongering. Until there is official word from Rockstar and/or Take Two speculating about this game is completely pointless. Until it's known otherwise it's better to just assume that GTA VI does not exist and not give these "articles" the clicks they don't deserve.
  3. Now that's the one company I would want ANYONE to buy out! Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo, Capcom, Square Enix, Ubisoft hell even EA! Any one them would at least do something with Castlevainia and Metal Gear besides Pachinko machines.
  4. There is a State of Play Streaming tonight and GT7 is going to be highly featured. I think I'll start a topic for it and I'll leave a link here. If can catch the edit in time!
  5. I'm not very familiar with S.T.A.L.K.E.R but Google is God! Pay it homage with traffic for it's add revenue and you shall be handsomely rewarded with the answers you seek..... So it's exclusive to XBox Series X/S and Windows PC, fourth game in the franchise and it's scheduled for release in December 2022. Which means, given recent gaming release trends, we can say for certain it's coming out next March! It looks fine I guess, reminds me of Metro but not being familiar with the series I've not much to say.
  6. If you don't know the best thing to do is politely ask. I know it's kinda awkward but it's hell of a lot better than the mess that's going right now.
  7. Nintendo are the oddball, they don't really seem too play the same game as the other two. That doesn't mean they definitely won't jump on the buying craze. Microsoft and Sony are somewhat predictable but with Nintendo who knows.
  8. I think the biggest downgrade I've experienced in gaming was Devil May Cry to Devil May Cry 2. The first game so slick and cool. The presentation was spot on with sharp visuals and a kick ass gothic and house hybrid soundtrack. It controlled beautifully, it was one of the first games to mix gunplay in to this genre. It had wide and interesting variety of enemies from It had simplistic but still fun story and characters and with enough mystery to push you forward in addition to how much fun it just was to play. The second game however... I don't even know where to start. The graphics were muddy and depressing and the music was forgettable. I swear half the assets were taken from the recycle bin's of Capcom's Resident Evil team, and the other half were from some generic library of random sprites. The characters were caricatures of cardboard and the boring story had no connection to the first game. It had two playable characters and campaigns, which I thought would be like Resident Evil 2 where you got to experience the story from the perspective of the other character but no. You spend most of the time as Lucia going through the same area's, fighting the same enemies, solving the same puzzles and opening all the same doors that Dante just did, it's lazy and stupid. The controls were terrible, they ditched the timing based combo system from the first game and instead mapped them to the right stick. Not only was it incredibly cumbersome and awkward but in order pull them off you had to pull thumb of the left stick, so you were effectively paralyzing yourself. Not to mention Dante's guns were stupidity overpowered to point were melee was borderline redundant. The worst thing though, the aspect that made this game dead on arrival was the brain-dead AI. Don't take my word for it, just watch this! Enemies would often stay in place or just circle around apparently patiently waiting for their turn to get their ass beat. They would refuse to attack until you hit them, some enemies (particularly bosses) couldn't move at all, some wouldn't react to being hit, you could literally walk (not even run, walk) past huge sections of levels without getting hit and a fuck ton other things. It was a rushed, undercooked disaster that was pushed out just to quickly cash in on popularity of the first one. They did deliver the sequel that Devil May Cry 2 should have been with Devil May Cry 3 and the franchise thankfully did recover but man what a black spot this was.
  9. You should be actually kind of encouraged by this deal. With Activision-Blizzard owned by Microsoft it's only a matter of time untill the Call of Duty games are piled into Gamepass.
  10. As far as I know it's parts of Colorado, Nevada and California. The map is said to be bigger than that of Horizon Zero Dawn but not by much. So it will be a very condensed version of these locations.
  11. Thanks, this is useful. Just got their introductory deal for Game Pass (1st month for £1) but even at £10.99 it's not hard to see the value in this.
  12. Fresh of the purchase of the original creators of Microsoft and XBox's games HALO franchise Bungie, Sony Interactive Entertainment CEO Jim Ryan has stated that we should "expect more aquisitions": https://www.pushsquare.com/news/2022/01/playstation-boss-jim-ryan-says-you-should-expect-more-acquisitions So who are they going to go for? There has been speculation about EA, but I think that's just a bit out of Sony weight class. I think it's more likely they will aquire mid teir publisher(s). One that I see as being a real possibility is Embracer Group, the parent company of THQ Nordic and Gearbox amount others. Another possibility might be Namco Bandi. Who do think Sony are going to grab up in the coming months?
  13. Shadow of the Tomb Raider had better gameplay, crafting and exploration than it's predecessor. The first the better story though.
  14. It seems that Troy Baker has done a U-turn on his partnership with this shit company. https://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2022-01-31-troy-baker-u-turns-on-voice-nft-project
  15. Do the Lego games count as branded?
  16. Confirmed, Sony have bought Bungie for $3.6 Billion: https://blog.playstation.com/2022/01/31/bungie-is-joining-playstation/amp/ It's not surprising but here's the weird thing, it seems that Bungie is going to continue to operate as a independent multi-platform publisher and developer. So Sony bought them because.... I have no fucking clue!
  17. There has been a ton of studies into the effect that violent video games have on the behaviour of children and adults, some lasting years. Like @The Blackangel said it has been proven time and time again that there is no link between video and violent behaviour. There have been some studies where adolescents show some more aggressive tendencies, but if you ask me this more down to the competitive nature of certain games rather than violent content.
  18. It's not "solutions trying to find problems", it's just creating problems that shouldn't exist. NFT's are just yet another money stream for these publishers. If you ask me it's actually worse than micro-transactions. Not only is it manipulative and exploitive on the part of the publisher but it opens the door end users to participate in shady MLM schemes. It's deeply worrying and totally irresponsible for any publisher to back these.
  19. I just saw another one, The Legend of Vox Machina. It's based on D&D and started as a Kickstarter that's now on Amazon Prime. It's only 3 episodes so far but I was rolling on floor in first few minutes. It's both epic and hilarious!
  20. Well I don't gravitate to religious music or media in general. I was raised Catholic but I left that behind a long time ago when I started to see the hypocrisy with organized religion and how historically it's been used to justify some of the worst of humanity. On the rare occasion when I do catch something like that I actually tend to feel a little uncomfortable. Dont get me wrong I can see why some would find it soothing but it's not for me.
  21. If you've got Netflix I'd highly recommend Arcane League of Legends.
  22. Honestly if you've already got this game on PC or console I don't see why you want to play it again on a phone. It's obviously not going to play as well in that format since it wasn't designed with that in mind.
  23. No doubt that there will be significant restructuring at Activisiion-Blizzard and there needs to be but it's going to take some time. With that being said I don't think job losses are going to be that high, I think more people are going to be moved around depending on what IP's Microsoft want to prioritise. Given Activision's old pattern of hiring then axing on mass I'd say people's jobs at safer than they were before.
  24. Let's just hope that this is still a vote about quality than quantity.
