  1. I'm not that bothered about it, mostly because I don't really like the "Souls" type games. I would give it a go it it were on a subscription service like Gamepass but for now, it's a hard pass. I probably be picking up Horizon Forbidden West instead.
  2. Edge of Eternity, XBox One (Game Pass) It's a pretty good JRPG so far, especially one from a small studio. Nice although kinda generic graphics and music in the same style as the older Final Fantasy games like VII or X. It has ATB turn based combat system on a hexagonal battle grid. The story and banter between the characters is ok so far. The only complaint I have with it so far is how fucking buggy it is! I don't know if it's just an inferior XBox port or what but I've 3 hard crashes so far and during the tutorial a particular scripted event failed to activate forcing me to reset and wandering around aimlessly for 15 minutes. It frequently stutters, their's tons of pop in and the load times are absurd especially when you consider it's relatively small 9Gb file size. I recommend trying it out if a Final Fantasy or Xenoblade fan as part of a Gamepass subscription if you've got anyway but not as a purchase, at least not this port. Maybe other ports are better but I can't say.
  3. Sorry to bump and quote myself, I was to late to edit. I just wish it was available on Gamepass, PS Now or at least available to buy digitally. I think it's probably a combination of the copyrighted music and multiple publishers involved. Although Brütal Legend is on Gamepass and it has WAY more licensed music. I'd assume it to be mostly Kadokawa Shoten and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment not being to agree on so much as the colour of shit is the reason it's not been released digitally on PC or modern consoles.
  4. I do check once in a while and, not really. The cheapest I've seen are around £35 - £45 including delivery. That's not exactly as outrageous as some of those but it's a lot money for a game that's 10 years and two generations old.
  5. I always wanted to play Lollipop Chainsaw, but I never got a copy during the PS3 era and it's never been re-released digitally on the current consoles, PC or even via XBox backwards compatibility or PS Now. I still have a PS3 but used copies are becoming pretty rare and expensive these days, sigh: Maybe some day...
  6. The embargo was lifted a couple of hours ago scores are pretty much 8's and 9's across the board: I know reviews from pro-outlets need to be taken with a grain of salt, but their consistent here and it seems to pretty much reflect what were expecting. So I'm not expecting this to disappoint.
  7. 3D has for the most part been the standard in gaming for like 25 years! Game's like Cuphead that use 2D graphics are a relatively rare thing nowadays.
  8. The sad truth is, whether you think it's right or not, the majority of mankind's advances in Medical Science have been achieved by experiments and testing on other animals. From basic First Aid and CPR to life saving drugs, inoculations, radiotherapy have been achieved by experiments and testing on other animals. Even techniques in medical training like stitching and surgery are taught using animal carcasses. If it weren't for animal testing the polio vaccine, which pretty obliterated the disease in the 50s and 60s many of us and our parents wouldn't be alive to have this conversation. I'm all for aminal welfare but in my opinion people come first. With that being said I agree @Reality vs Adventure with regard to Elon Musk and these experiments. The technology is interesting and impressive in theory but at the end of the day it's for little more than toy's, not medicine. It's not worth that kind of suffering for these monkey's.
  9. They dropped a new Cinematic Trailer earlier today. I usually prefer gameplay over cinematics in promotional material, but they have given a lot of gameplay already and hearing Aloy quote Rost from Zero Dawn is surprisingly very touching in this.
  10. I'm NEVER said it wasn't and I don't appreciate words being put in my mouth. What I'm saying is George R.R Martin is co-writer on the project along with Hidetaka Miyazaki. Martin is making a significant contribution to the game but to say.... ...Isn't properly representing Martin or Miyazaki with regard to their level of creative drive on the project. That's like saying the first name that should come to mind when you think of Take That is Robbie Williams, even though it was Gary Barlow who did most of the writing. The only reason who would put Williams' name first is because he's more famous, and that's exactly what your doing here with George R.R Martin. Hidetaka Miyazaki, being the director and co-writer of Elden Ring makes him the primary creative force behind it. Therefore his is first name you should cross your mind, not George R.R Martin.
  11. I disagree. From what I understand George R.R Martin's contribution to Elden Ring comes down to elements of the game's lore and setting. He's not the primary creative drive behind it, that would be the director Hidetaka Miyazaki.
  12. But, like you just said, unlike Activision-Blizzard Konami ain't worth close to that much.
  13. Not even Konami would be daft enough to demand a legitimate price tag like that, and Sony certainly wouldn't be dumb enough to pay that much.
  14. I don't really classify FFX-2 as disappointing. It was the first project to come out of Squaresoft's merger with Enix and they needed something that would generate some revenue quickly. It's wasn't as good as it's predecessor of course but if you ask me, it seemed obvious from the get go that not as much was going to be put into it anyway. The quality was lower but my expectations were also lower. Despite this, I also don't think it's as bad as most people say it is. It's certainly not the worst of the main console/PC Final Fantasy releases (looks over at Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII). The story was lame but it had an innovative and surprisingly deep combat system with a ton of variety.
  15. I'm not "obsessed with Resident Evil and Capcom"', I'm worried for one who is obsessing about it. And no, I'm not going to just "allow him" because that's unhealthy. I couldn't give a fuck about this company. If he is obsessed that's not healthy and he needs help. I'm not making accusation that he does need help (I'm not qualified to do that) but sometimes topics need to die. This is someone who just pushes this one thread once in a while and although I consider it mostly harmless, there has to come a stop point. You can't keep pushing this same thread, let it die and talk about something else.
  16. I've looked at your profile, you have not reacted to or posted in any other topic in over a year. All you do is post on this should be dead thread.
  17. @Candy Stick Let's have a discussion about the upcoming release of Horizon Forbidden West, or the recent announcement of Grand Theft Auto 6 Finally being confirmed. Of course not, you just keep posting on this same long dead topic over and over. You have contributed literally NOTHING on anybody else's topics and you keep resurrecting this one from the dead over and over. STOP IT! I'm going to push that this thread should be locked, what's under discussion has nothing to do with topic at all.
  18. Pretty much everything from Final Fantasy XV. I mean THIS is fucking Glamping!
  19. It would be Horizon Forbidden West, Hellblade 2 and God of War Ragnarok for me.
  20. What's wrong with my name?.. Man The Heat.
  21. I wish they would but I don't see Konami selling. Their business model of focusing on Pachinko machines and half assing it as a games publisher is unfortunately working quite well for them, in Japan at least. They just don't care.
  22. If I were to place a bet on Nintendo buying any publisher, it would be SEGA. They've been bedfellows for quite a while now.
  23. Why is it lower for boys? That doesn't make sense.
  24. Actually, although the final buyout can take several months while the buyer pays if the debt, the deal itself can be proposed, negotiated, signed and announced within just a couple of days. This was definitely reaction buy by Sony and it won't be the last.
  25. I have to disagree there, with the console being permabanned it's damn near useless. So unless there is a way of contacting Sony customer service to get the ban removed (which I don't think they can) it's pretty much flushing $448 down the crapper.
