UGHH, Don't me started!! Flat Earthers are genuinely the biggest idiots on the planet. They are sufferers of the most insufferable conformation bias I have seen. They get laser focused on whatever they can cherry pick to support their ridiculous ideas and completely dismiss the litteral thousands of years of evidence that doesn't. I gotta disagree there. I have 2 working XBox 360 controllers and these things are tough as hell, certainly outlasting the consoles they were made for! Whereas the Dualshock 3 was made out plastic so thin you could literally see through it, and they were black! If anything the N64 and in particular the original XBox controllers were harder to break. I will side with you on the PS2 controllers though.

Assuming this story is even true, I noticed you haven't posted any articles about it, it's obvious this guy has some other psychological issues. Millions of people play GTA and don't behave this way in real life. Idiots have been trying to prove a direct link between violent media and violent behaviour for decades. It's been debunked every time because in every case there are other factors about thier lives which have much more direct psychological effects. These people either can't or just won't accept the more complex, multi-layered reasons and would rather have a single simple scapegoat. After the Columbine massacre, it wasn't these kids known psychological issues, pent up resentment or easy access to firearms, it was Marilyn Manson! Just Marilyn Manson and the evil music that they listened too that made them do it. It's fucking ridiculous!

That's what I would of thought, but what else could they be spending this kind of money on if it's not exterior sets? It's not top dollar Hollywood actors, no elaborate contumes, there will certainly be some visual effects and makeup but no more than a typical Sci-Fi, there are sequences that will dozens but not HUNDREDS of extras and there are shows that have these things with far less. So what is it?

It's already been proven beyond any question or shadow of doubt dozens of times that violence in video has no link to real world violence. At this point anyone who says otherwise is an idiot and/or looking for a scapegoat. With that being said I would be interested in studying the effect of video games on other types of behavior, more specifically in positive ways. For example could it influence your diet, encourage someone to stop smoking or drink less alcohol. If true that could be a real benefit to some people.

It's kinda hard to imagine why this show needs a budget like this. The most expensive parts (I would think) are the exterior urban environments where they might need to lock off a few streets. Though not cheap (especially in current circumstances) productions do this all the time.

The main problem I have with the game is that the prices for their in game cosmetics are absolutely ridiculous. This particular skin is nearly $20 or just over $70 for the the complete set and there are some that even more. It's fucking atrocious.

I'm not defending it Incursions happen at every major Airport quite often and it's usually because of pilots making mistakes or not listening to instructions.

This must be new, I never experienced anything like that on the Dualshock 4.

I don't believe in being afraid of things that are beyond your control, so it really depends on the situation. If it's something like a group of thugs that want to hurt me then yes, fear is what opens your mind to possible solutions. If it's something like getting on a plane then no, even if there is an emergency there's nothing I can do about it.

lots of people like full cinema experience, I'd actually say they go for that more than than movie itself because you don't get that at home. That's why the release of home video, DVD's, Blu Ray's and so on didn't stop movie theaters from being relevent. Even If movie theaters do get phased out it's definitely going to take longer than 5 years. I think it will be closer to 20 if it ever happens.

I'd begrudge a new edition of a game coming out if I had bought it new fairly recently, maybe a year or two, but these games have been out for a decade at the point. I don't blame you for not wanting to spend the money on a game you already played, but it wouldn't put me off personally after such a long time if I really wanted to.

A game needs to be carefully designed around the idea for it to work. I remember playing Breath of the Wild and there it was a bit of a false prophesy. Unlimited climbing didn't stop that from being a total pain in the arse.

I stand corrected. Guess you learn something new everyday. Half Life was on PS2 and Half Life 2 was on PS3 and Xbox 360.

That's a little bit of a worry, there's quite a lot of games on Steam that DON'T work in Linux.

Wrong, in fact it's completely the opposite. Hundreds of them walked in in protest on Wednesday and as far know, none of them have fired. If Acti-Blizzard started started firing en-mass while this suit was pending and the it would just make thier situation worse. The very fact that the eyes of the press are on them it's what's keeping them on thier best behaviour.

It's a pointless question for me, either would drive me mad.
