  1. In the UK aside from a few very rare exceptions nobody is allowed to carry firearms even among police, and that's exactly how it should be. I know some will defend saying that they are responsible gun owners but theirs no such thing since the power to end someone's life at little more than touch of a button is not a responsibility anyone should have. We're impulsive, emotional and our bodies are practically chemistry labs constantly producing chemicals that affect our judgement in ways that are notoriously unpredictable. This effect is made even worse by the substances that we add to them through drink, drugs and even the contents of our increasingly un-naturally prcocessed diets. History has proven time and time again that more people carrying causes more problems, not solutions. Untill American's realize that and revoke the 2nd Amendment School shooting's, mass murders and trigger happy cop killings are just going to keep going up and up. Right now the "right to bear arm's" is having the complete opposite effect to what it was intended.
  2. Does it seem obvious to anyone else that world leaders have to meet with each other?
  3. I've no issue with exclusives, it's the whole reason Microsoft bought Zenimax in the first place. For PlayStation gamers it's frustrating but many of them also piss and moan about games like Horizon Zero Dawn releasing on Steam which is hypocritical as all hell.
  4. E3 has been a real dud. The only announcements that really had any weight for me where A Plauge Tale Requiem and the gameplay showcase for Horizon Forbidden West from Sony's State of Play a couple of weeks before: I admit I haven't seen a great deal of it so there might be something interesting that I missed.
  5. Well look at the flip side of the coin. Folks can only get a 3060 from scalpers, so you release a 3070ti at those prices and what's gonna sell? They have an opportunity to strike the iron while it's hot and their taking it.
  6. I'm in Europe (UK), and it's not upsetting. It might be down to done some cultural interpretation or localisation identity I'm not aware of. If in my post I incidentally made look like a bigger deal than it is or I was ignorent of the facts then I apologize. You call it PSX and I'll still get the idea but it doesn't seem to be the most obvious to reference it my opinion. Reading back my post it must admit it does come across more aggressive than I intended and for that I do apologize.
  7. I've never heard anyone refer to the original PlayStation as the "PSX". I got through power of interpretation that the reference was to the original PlayStation but everyone I know has always referred to it as "The original PlayStation", "PlayStation One" or just "PlayStation". It's even more confusing in the fact the PSX references a specific emulator (for PlayStation and PlayStation 2) and that's part of the reason I even made that connection. The PlayStation was never referred to as the PSX during its life cycle, even when the new "PS One" came out. Even now I don't get it. If I made post taking about "Crash Bandicoot on PlayStation" would you honestly assume I was referring to a game on PlayStation 2, 3, 4 or 5? Of course not! If I was I would say PlayStation 2, 3, 4, or 5 in the post!
  8. Frostbite has been around a while but unlike Bethesda's Creation engine it's not exactly dated. It's one of the few things I give EA, or more specifically DICE credit for. We've seen in games like Battlefield and Battlefront in particular that it is capable of generating amazing visual detail without compromising performance. Your not wrong though, there's no way it's source code is worth that much to any developer.
  9. The more I think about it... who the hell is even going to spend that kind of money on Frostbite source code? You could assemble a team and design your own development tools from scratch for the same if not less without the risk of EA suing you after what will no doubt be a massive investigation. Unless I'm missing something you'd have to be a bit stupid.
  10. Duke Nukem, as far as I'm concerned if you pick anything else your mad!
  11. I could name quite a few, I think in gerneral I like games that have shocking moments or do things in the story that take my by surprise. There's certainly plenty of those in games like The last of Us, Tomb Raider (new), Metal Gear Solid 3, Life is Strange, Tell Me Why (which I just Started)... I could keep going but I don't think I could focus on anything to specific without spoilers so I guess I'll leave it that.
  12. Cute the disease 100%. Not only would would you be saving millions of lives, it would also make you the richest mother fucker the world has ever seen... And then you could just simply buy your way into being the first to explore a planet!
  13. Technically your correct, but if the publisher is not making any revenue from the product then it's not worth their time or money to issue a DMCA takedown against the website so they generally don't bother. Even this is assuming the copyright holder is still in business which many of them aren't in the case of these old games. I mentioned Nintendo earlier but they sell their older games on the new systems as well as throwback consoles like the NES and SNES classic. So they are far less tolerant.
  14. I don't believe they host any Nintendo games on there. Nintendo are really don't like people sharing ROM's of their games, in fact the owner of a ROM sharing website just got sued by Nintendo for over $2 million and lost.
  15. It's the same kind of thing yes. So if you liked Life is Strange you'll almost certainly enjoy this to.
  16. It's more like an A-Symmetrical team shooter like Evolve. It had a very shaky launch but it's apparently gotten better with patches. Unless you have a group of friends to play with it's probably not worth bothering with.
  17. That's a really good idea. Professional athletes from Footballers to MMA fighter's, racing drivers and their teams amoung other athletes all have to show their sponsors.
  18. It's not a great movie, it's commentary on gaming culture is dated and stereotypical. I'd recommend Wreck it Ralph instead.
  19. They care about their bottom dollar more than anything, so if it's a country or region that would object to the use of, in this case, pride symbolism then they obviously won't show it there. I agree it's hypocritical and I'm certainly not defending them but they do what's best for business.
  20. Overload, a spiritual successor to the old Descent games in the 90's. It's out now and pretty good if I say so myself!
  21. Some years ago I might have believed that might be the case, but not now. These day's it's better in terms of marketing strategy to be pro LGBTQ+ (or at the least look like you are), especially during pride month. It doesn't really make great them great bedfellows with anti LGBTQ+ organisations either since they will still object to the bi character being in the game in the first place! Microsoft have a pride sale going on right now on XBox and PC and are even giving away Tell Me Why, a games heavy on Trans gender themes for free. I'm not saying these companies necessary care about LGBTQ+ rights or the community (the almost certainly don't) but it's better to look you do because if you didn't your the only one that's ignoring the giant rainbow coloured elephant in the room and that's a very bad look. With that in mind I can see what WB were trying to do. Shine a torch on an bisexual character that they have in their game which itself isn't really a bad thing... BUT HOLY SHIT did they not think it through! I don't believe they had any anti LGBTQ+ messages or intentions in mind, I was just a very stupid idea that they didn't properly think out.
  22. In some games you can in fact, or they give you a choice of different controller set profiles but even when you can't it doesn't really bother me. In truth I usually stick with the default bindings even when the option is there (including PC). I find it simpler to adapt to the game rather than go through each of the controls deciding how I want this and that. I find that most modern games are pretty similar anyway. The only thing that's an exception to that is in camera/aim controls. In which I always invert the Y axis for because it came to a point where I got sick of having to re-adjust for flight Sims and other games like RPG's and shooters.
  23. Well that's not exactly true. In fact the original Final Fantasy in particular pulled quite a lot ideas from D&D that are still in the series. Both franchises (in fact just about everything) pull many ideas from many different sources like ancient myths, history and religions. Here is a YouTube video from Final Fantasy Union that's part of their evolve series talking about Gilgamesh. It's pretty interesting and it's just one example.
  24. Both, it just depends on my mood and time of day. Tea helps you relax whereas Coffee gives you a buzz of energy.
  25. I have started long walks. I go about 5 or 6 miles on days when I'm not working and not to far off the same within work I've lost a lot of weight on that alone. I'm building myself up to longer route's and then eventually jogging and running.
