  1. This topic concerns PS5 pre-orders, the console has now been out for ten months and the last post was over a year ago. So this is clearly a dead horse that has no relevancy anymore.
  2. I figured I'd just throw this out there because my uncle recently passed away and amoung his things was a bass guitar I gave him some years back that got passed back to me. I try playing years ago but never got very far. I also get an electro-acoustic guitar that belonged to his late son. After looking through some local classifieds I found a pretty decent 1980's amp for £20 (pictured). So I've got the gear but you think is the best place/way to learn? I'm basically starting from beginners level again.
  3. I'm not a fan of survival games, I find them tedious. Most of the time when games use survival like mechanics like hunger, dehydration and sleep gauges it serves as a distraction from the stuff you actually want to be doing.
  4. A SSHD hybrid is a combination of a normal hard drive and an SSD. They are (or at least attempt to be) a best of both sorta thing. Faster than a standard HDD speed while still maintaining mass storage at a reasonable price. In my opinion... Their not really worth it, especially in a console that doesn't have the software to make the best of it. You don't get the faster speeds consistently because the data would have to be stored on the SS portion which is not guaranteed.
  5. I could see it being collectable in the future but I don't think that alone makes it a "classic". You mentioned the Virtual Boy and yes, it's has value among collectors. That's because it's quite rare, because it sold poorly, because nobody wanted one, because it was crap. That's the case for most valuable collectors items. For me a classic is something that made an impact or had an interesting story to it. Whether that be because it was ahead of it's time, popular, innovative, or even notorious. I could be wrong but I don't think that the Wii U really did that. It was just mediocre, not making any impact good or bad. It just sorta came, went and quickly got forgotten about. It will certainly be harder to find an because more valuable than an XBox One or PS4 down the line because there aren't as many of them around but a classic, I'd have to say no.
  6. Wow that sucks! I wouldn't blame anyone for nervous then especially with such an expensive card.
  7. The original games were published by Edios Interactive, until Square Enix bought them out in 2009. So everything from Guardian of Light onwards has be published by Square Enix.
  8. I know, I really don't know why these producers insist on using it so much. Most of the time it makes the artist sound worse. I always got that with Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day . The autotune on the recording makes sounds so flat and it makes no sense because his real, live organic voice sounds infinity better.
  9. As far as I know the Batman Arkham games and Spiderman (assuming your refering to the Insomniac PS4 game from 2018) are not based on any specific movie.
  10. No, Square Enix had nothing to do with Mirrors Edge. It was published by EA and developed by one of EA's in house studios, DICE. There's probably other Square Enix titles that you have played that your not aware of. Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, Tomb Raider, Just Cause, Life is Strange, Deus Ex...?
  11. Oh I totally see narcissistic behaviour among gamers all the time, I dare say they seem to be narcissists most of the time! Maybe it's a little unfair to point the fingers at just gamers for it, it's a pretty common thing in general these days.
  12. Yeah, you definitely don't want people eating biscuits in there!
  13. Skyrim alone has over 60,000 lines of recorded dialogue and I'm sure there is plenty of other RPG'S that can match and even beat that. It's a cool idea to catalogue these but it's just to much.
  14. Honestly this is kind of a shitty quiz, half the questions don't seem relevent at all.
  15. I agree, it seems unnecessary to have religious symbolism in there and I find it unappealing.
  16. Bad sequels to great games are depressing, a company gets a hit and then decides to strike the iron while it's hot or make creative decisions that alienate the original fanbase to reach a wider audience. Dungeon Keeper When comparing Dungeon Keeper to Dungeon Keeper 2, the sequel is in many technical aspects an improvement. Better visuals, more modes, much improved UI and design choices that made it better balanced. However, I still consider the original superior mostly for one reason, atmosphere. The original was dark with really twisted sense of humour whereas the sequel was much more slapstick and cartoonish, probably the results of wanting to market to a wider audience. Just compare the intro videos for each game and you'll get some idea of what I mean. DK DK 2 Devil May Cry Of course this game has more than one follow up some of which actually make big improvements. For now I'm gonna focus on the jump from the original Devil May Cry to Devil May Cry 2 which was probably the biggest step down I've ever experienced. They transformed one of the slickest and most perfectly controlled hack and slash games ever into a ugly, cumbersome, clichéd and totally incompetent mess. I swear the assets were gathered from the recycle bins of Capcom staff working on other franchise's. Take a look at this and tell me what other popular Capcom franchise thing this clearly originally made for:
  17. I played Mirrors Edge and it's really good. In my opinion the best game on this list among what I have played myself. The only experiences or Dragonage are with Inquisition and a little bit of 2. I've heard a lot of people really hate the changes made in Dragonage 2 and some seem to prefer them but I can't really say. I played Command & Conquer General's, although I personally think Red Alert 2 was better. I've played one or two versions of Sim City but not extensively. EA Sports can for most part go fuck themselves although I did like some of the Tiger Woods PGA games. I'd take the old Burnout games over Need for Speed. I like the customisation in NFS but I think Burnout had the more fun classic arcade format. I never played Dead Space and I probably should. The Sims never appealed to me. I hated Battlefield 3 because the campaign was a goddamn joke. Even in the multiplayer I found myself spending my time just running around until I either got shot or run over. Not to mention pay-to-win battlepack economy that everybody seemed to inexplicably ignore. I never played Mass Effect, but I fully intend to play the new remastered version once I get enough green together.
  18. That is true but modern gamepads are quite sophisticated and not exactly cheap to make. Gone are the days when a third party can throw something together and sell it for half the price.
  19. You can still watch most YouTube Videos without logging in. Well here's one:
  20. Generally waiting for things that should be instant, like looting bodies and containers. Also open world games with no fast travel.
  21. EA did already milk out a bunch of games while the movies were coming out. As you would expect they were mostly the typical movie licensed drivel that you came to expect for the time. Despite this and the fact that JK Rowling is a arrogant transphobic cunt, I think there is potential in a stand alone game in the Harry Potter universe as an open world RPG or even an MMO playing as a student at Hogwarts.
  22. The farmhouse scene from The Last of Us always gets to me. The moment when Ellie pushes Joel saying "Everyone that I have cared for has either died or left me. Everyone... Fucking except for you!" is so poignant and powerful. It does so much for Ellie's character showing her strength and vulnerability at the same time.
  23. Well I'm glad they reversed that decision, they made a commitment to the free upgrade path and they should stick to it.
  24. I'm not saying it is, I'm saying he must have ment 1000Gb... NOT 1000Tb because that would be ridiculous.
