StaceyPowers Posted April 20, 2021 Posted April 20, 2021 I’ve noticed with a large percentage of games, I have to go into the menus and turn the music way down, the sound effects a bit down, and the dialogue way up. I’m not sure if my speakers are at fault, or just my ears. Does anyone else make similar regular adjustments?
The Blackangel Posted April 20, 2021 Posted April 20, 2021 I turn all of the sound completely off for the vast majority of the games I play. The only one I can think of that I keep the sound on for is RDR2.
killamch89 Posted April 20, 2021 Posted April 20, 2021 In most mobile games or older GBA/Nintendo DS games, I always turn the sound completely off because the music is horrendous and annoying.
Patrik Posted April 21, 2021 Posted April 21, 2021 I control everything from windows sound settings and let them on their ideal settings in game, sometimes i lower the music volume (especially in open world games that include driving and stuff)

Totally relatable - I find that in most of those instance, I normally turn it down low enough to hear them clearly. On the other hand, when I'm playing alone, depending on the game, it may be cranked pretty high. AndreiMirfi 1
m76 Posted April 22, 2021 Posted April 22, 2021 I used to do that when I had mediocre to poor sound systems. Since I've been using studio monitors I rarely felt the need to adjust volume in games. The only exception being beamNG, because I often listen to podcasts while playing it and I needed to adjust the game volume so the podcast can be audible, but that's not the game's fault.
skyfire Posted April 23, 2021 Posted April 23, 2021 I try to adjust the volume as much as possible and avoid the distraction as a lot of games have the soundtrack high and its hard to concentrate too.

Most times, I prefer to make use of my headset whenever I'm playing in order to have it all by myself.
