StaceyPowers Posted September 8, 2021 Posted September 8, 2021 There seems to be a pretty even split between games that set the default trigger buttons as R/L 1 and those that set it as R/L 2. Do you have a preference between them?
Heatman Posted September 9, 2021 Posted September 9, 2021 My major issue is that I have been gaming for years now and I still get the use of these buttons still mixed up. It's really frustrating and annoying.
killamch89 Posted September 10, 2021 Posted September 10, 2021 Not really - either set is fine to me. Then again, I'm from the original PS days so using them as trigger buttons is almost instinctive at this point. Patrik 1

Yeah - playing soccer/football games back then really helped me get used to them but I still get them mixed up anyways.
Head_Hunter Posted October 4, 2021 Posted October 4, 2021 Every game series or games have their own controller option. They differ base on the style of the game.

Empire Posted October 6, 2021 Posted October 6, 2021 L1/R1 all day. I really hope they give this option on TLOU2 and not just move it to L2/R2 like many game have done for shooting and aiming. While I know I can re-map the buttons on the PS4, I'm just gonna come out and say it. Its a bitch to re-map buttons because I don't wanna have to switch it back and forth whenever I want to play something else

Yes, that is why, we need to pay attention to the game controls first before going on playing the games. The controls will help us master how to apply every action expertly.
Oblivion Knight Posted October 14, 2021 Posted October 14, 2021 I prefer L2/R2 as the "main" triggers (shoot, accelerate, etc), and L1/R1 as the "sub" triggers (aim, strafe, grenade). Just what I'm used to, I guess.
Justin11 Posted October 14, 2021 Posted October 14, 2021 That's why we need yo master those controls during any game that is customized to function base on the instruction of control buttons.
The Blackangel Posted October 14, 2021 Posted October 14, 2021 For the most part I always shot right handed, whether I was hunting or just shooting at a target. So I tend to prefer a right handed trigger as It's more natural to me. Don't get me wrong, I can shoot almost as good left handed as I can right handed. But when I pick up a rifle, I always instinctively put my right hand on the trigger.
Head_Hunter Posted October 15, 2021 Posted October 15, 2021 Such mix up gets me confusing, especially when enemies have crowded me. I experienced that via GTA S.A when I was trying to code a Turbo jacket to fly away when everyone was at me, but I lost my guard couldn't code it fast by applying the controls.
