Anyone plays splitgate?

Recommended Posts

I'd highly reccomend it if you're into competitive arena shooters. It's free to play. It's like halo but you can also shoot portals. Very fun and frantic and the portals make it feel strategic as well.

It may be niche but the matchmaking is very fast. Partially because it has crossplay enabled across 8th gen 9th gen consoles and PC.

I adore Splitgate. It's one of the few modern attempts at arena shooters I've come to like. It's the perfect mix of Unreal Tournament's snappy gameplay and Halo's bonkers modes. Plus the fact it's well worth playing over Halo: Infinite what with all its bugs, piss poor progression systems and downright sluggish updates. Whatever Halo does, Splitegate probably does better on less budget, time and server capacity.

My only complaint with it is it can get sweaty. There's people who know all the timings for melee attacks and play Splitball / Zombie VIP exclusively, or have perfect map knowledge that can make it frustrating.

I wholeheartedly recommend it, especially if you're frustrated with the state of modern multiplayer shooters.

Do they ahve still play it 😛 The hype has died down largely. Playerbase has shrunken accordingly. Personally I still think it's a lot of fun to play and you won't have a hard time finding games if you queue for Casual or Ranked at peak times. If you think the game is fun, there's nothing stopping you, it's free to play after all.

Ranked takedown can get very sweaty. Which is why I love it.

I can find games instantly on ranked(no bots) almost any time of day besides like 5AM - 9AM in US time.

I have not played this game.  It is free to play on launch, maps and base games are also free, but you will have to pay for starter character pack and starter weapon pack.

Dunno about launch. Right now it's free, there might be some microtransactions for a few skins and other extras you have to pay for though. But all the essentials such as weapons, stages and modes are free.

From my little time with playing Splitgate : Areana Warfare, I can say that it's good shooting game with great mechanics. There are some other shooting games that I have played which have the same features in Splitgate : Areana Warfare. Such games are ; Warframe, and Apex Legends.

My nephew got me to get it a while back. It being free to play, I figured why not. It's actually really fun. It reminds me of halo mixed with portal and it works really well. I am horrible at it, but for a free to play game, you really can't go wrong. Especially since it's pretty fun.
