Head_Hunter reacted to StaceyPowers for a topic
Sometimes in TLOU 2 and in Left Behind, there are parts where you can turn Infected and human opponents against each other strategically. What are some other games that include this feature?1 point -
Major inconsistencies in lore?

What are some games that feature major inconsistencies in lore? For example, between Dragon Age: Origins and Inquisition, there are some inconsistencies regarding the information about whether Templars do or do not require lyrium to access their abilities.1 point -

It's something that's also observable from feeling the palms of a farmer, there is always a difference to tell from the texture of their palm. Although, there are some people with a natural hard palm but farmers owns are too obvious.1 point

Intensive characters customization is a big thing for me now in most games that I'd like to get into play. I like something that makes me feel it's exactly how I want my character to be and play with it for maximum satisfaction.1 point

Games with detailed character creation where you rarely see your character

I think that there is a possibility of a guard knowing if you're a good archer specifically because it's kind of their area of expertise but as for an experienced alchemist, it's way too odd.1 point -
Games with punishing but satisfying combat?

Mass Effect trilogy on insanity difficulty. (Although I hear the legendary edition is made easier, I haven't played that yet) Ghost Recon Wildlands / Breakpoint on extreme Far Cry 1 on realistic DeusEx on realistic Max Payne 1-2 Crysis 1-2, Warhead Basically any game I completed on hard difficulty, because if its not satisfying I turn it down, if it still isn't I quit playing that game.1 point -
Silly question: what tech-wise makes modern games so smooth?
StaceyPowers reacted to Crazycrab for a topic
In a word, framerates. Most PS3 and even PS4 games were locked to 30 fps. The PS5 is easily capable of playing these games at 60 fps or more should the devs choose to release a patch that allows it, like Guerrilla recently did with Horizon Zero Dawn. At this point we have kind of a plateau in terms of graphical fidelity, so now gamer's have shifted their focus to getting smoother gameplay with higher framerates. So naturally devs and publishers have responded.1 point -

Continuous upgrades to their software engines increase their graphical quality and also the upgrade to the power of the devices that allow you to play said games. For instance, Unreal Engine 5 has some ray-tracing element in it (at least what they showed in one of the demos) so the graphical improvements are very noticeable.1 point -

If I get my hands on $50,000 cash, I'd give up gaming for at least 10 years. Do you know the amount of stress that money can solve for me?1 point -
