Russia Invaded Ukraine
Reality vs Adventure replied to Techno's topic in Debate, Politics, & Religion
Let me clear this up for you, Putin invaded another country. They have attacked nuclear sites and are under investigation of war crimes. It’s only been a week. You keep trying to justify Russia’s attack. Let’s be honest with ourselves. Do you support Russia in this? -
Afraid of Free Speech
Reality vs Adventure replied to Jayson's topic in Debate, Politics, & Religion
What are you talking about? 1st off, Facebook is not the government, it is a corporation which has its own policies. And you ask why should Putin be afraid of free speech when he just blocked Facebook and Twitter access to citizens and now is enforcing imprisonment to anyone that speaks out about anything their government doesn’t approve of. Are you a Putin sympathizer? -
I played in normal difficulty up to a certain point and then @Shagger showed me the game has a photo mode so I started all over on easy mode where you can kill a machine with one hit. Easy mode was fun giving me emphasis to enjoy doing what I want w/o worries. But once I reached the point I left off I continued in normal mode with that save. And I'm glad I went back exploring photo mode. I can't game w/o it now. Normal mode is difficult enough for me.

Hate to bring up a topic like this, but I feel it's important to discuss a new bill republicans are trying to pass, House Bill 1072, that would allow any politician at any given time to access schools and all student documents. Any faculty member that doesn't comply will get penalized as a misdemeanor. What does that have to do with this topic? This bill goes against the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act that is supposed to protect student privacy and only parents are allowed access. Republicans are arguing that they need to see how students are being counseled and if funding helps 'special' students. Let's say there was another school shooting, and another lawsuit. Republicans would be able to politicize it and gain access to student victim records and demonize them. And it could be any type of court case where a student is involved and could have gained media attention, and politicians could go in there to muddy everything. Politicians should never have access to student records. What next? They gonna collect all student homework to see if they said anything about race in it? Or to make polarizing surveys to divide students/schools if they have access to their records? This kind of thing will get exploited. Looks like the republican fascist school police is getting desperate to get into your business.

I gotcha; Hannah Hoekstra is a model for Aloy then? Because there are some clear similarities in appearance. Ashley Burch is voice actress, model is Hannah Hoekstra? At least in the face it looks like.

I love Mad Max; a fun gem of a game.

Can someone tell me what is going on in this video? It's kinda funny and awkward. She's the actress for Aloy; I think. Definitely looks like Aloy. I can't tell if it's a joke or if the guy is trying to flirt. LOL

Russia Invaded Ukraine
Reality vs Adventure replied to Techno's topic in Debate, Politics, & Religion
Russia has blocked Facebook (Meta) and Twitter. Anyone who spreads unapproved information will go to prison. China is spreading pro Putin news. -
YES!!!!!!!! I been there!!!!!! I need to post some pics I have of that under Days Gone topic. I really have enjoyed all the thrills. I learned to build up stamina early. 😆

Days Gone; trying to finish. Good game.

Most people don't want to research specs and buy different components, that's why console is the easiest choice, especially for newbies that can start playing games right away.

Electronics should have a fail safe to give us a two week warning before it goes bonkers. Can you imagine flying a jet and the computer system crashes? Have you been 'Windows' shopping and find the 'Apple' of your eye yet?

GTA-Bow down to Saints Row
Reality vs Adventure replied to Reality vs Adventure's topic in Video Games
If you never heard the game then how can you tell me not to compare? That makes no sense. -
I remember watching that movie. I could never remember the name of it. Too many things can happen when hikers go out alone. Self determination becomes blinding at times.

I hope the game doesn’t allow you to collect a bunch of garbage that adds weight. They should have a simpler approach to just buy what you need with fake money. I can’t play games like Skyrim for example, because I pick up everything I come across. Count me out if they stick to gamer’s hoarding.

Are video games becoming too casual/easy?
Reality vs Adventure replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming Forum
I think better gameplay mechanics makes games seem easier in newer games. Then again, trying to add too much into the buttons makes it more difficult. It's a never-ending loop. Some things get better, then other games try to add too much to it. Batman Arkham Knight for example, I just deleted it for the second time now after giving it another try and it's because I don't want to bother remembering all the crap. Too much there for my aging brain. It breaks my motivation. So we will see game controllers in the future get all whacked out with a hundred buttons. That is going to make gameplay extra hard. -
Russia Invaded Ukraine
Reality vs Adventure replied to Techno's topic in Debate, Politics, & Religion
What is the goal of Belarus to invade? We know they are in an authoritarian regime too like Russia. -
Assassin's Creed Odyssey/Valhalla/Origins is the king of open worlds if you are into exploring, scenery, and culture. Witcher 3 is king if you like story and lore. Ghost of Tsushima is king of well balanced open world. Dying Light is king of the apocalypse. Horizon Zero Dawn is king of uniqueness. I can't think of this kind of greatness in open worlds for ps3.

Should the Current gen consoles have been delayed?
Reality vs Adventure replied to Yaramaki's topic in Gaming Forum
The marketing was smart to release consoles during a pandemic since people would be at home gaming. Then the chip shortage came. They should have anticipated the demand, but initial releases of consoles are experimental so they release in batches to improve series. Then scalpers finish it off. But who would know war was around the corner further affecting semiconductors. This is the new reality. And now people are going back to work, which is closing the window of excitement that drove the higher demand. So now we will enter the panicky phase due to long term chip shortages. Companies will now start chip hoarding if they haven't already. So this will keep the prices high of newer consoles, deter people from buying, and will affect game development since they now have to make two versions of games for each generation console if they wanted to have any great success. Developers may reconsider to keep making both versions as the norm. -
There is an interesting comparison I’ve found playing driving games like GTA, Watch Dogs, Saints Row etc. is that since I can choose any NPC to play in Watch Dogs Legion, I’m more concerned about who I run over because it could be someone on my side, an ally that wants to fight. All the characters actually mean something compared to the other games that I’m a little more desensitized to running over.
