Oh Did you start playing it because i was hyping it up in a few other threads? 😊 Combat is so much fun in mad max and chumbucket is probably one of the better sidekicks in videogames.

It would be usefull to list the games you played and what genre you like, otherwise it's a stab in the dark to recommend something good.

I do gotta say i'm flattered to see my user name in here. Wasen't really expecting to be ever nominated for something like this, Let alone my first month of posting here. Thanks to DC for nominating me -> you have a great community going here , it's rare to see such an active forum in this day and age and i'm glad to be part of it. Kind off wished i find vgr sooner then i did. The forums i usually frequented where mostly about collecting video games rather then about the games themselves so it's refreshing just speaking about games and nothing else. Even tough i would like to sneak in a little video game collecting in here and there well if i'm allowed to open up a topic that is. Anyways hope everybody has/had a great weekend.

Pretty sure Sony is doing their best to ship out as many consoles as they possibly can. I always heard their is a shortage of certain chips so if you they don't have have those they can't manufactor their consoles at full capacity. Many businesses went through hard times or even went bankrupt because they were forced to sell online and diden't have a clue how to go about it. From personal experience i make about 250 euro a month less since the pandemic. While not the end of the world, it's maybe a sign i need to start looking for a job elsewhere.

I managed to put in a (pre)order for a ps5 yesterday, i just asked the clerck if i could reserve one, she said sure -> the only downside i'll have to wait until atleast late october. It woulden't hurt to start asking around your local shops if you can order one, you may have more chance to get lucky that way instead of relying on online stores.

Yeah but microsoft haven't done anything with fable in nearly 10 years now. The major problem with franchise was peter molyneux hyping the living shit out of his games and not delivering what he promised. Shame because i put fable 2 or 3 into my top 10 of 7th gen games. It was also a great way to introduce players new to the rpg genre. Hell even fable the journey (the kinect game) was enjoyable while more a kids games and i diden't really play it myself but when my little nephew came over for the weekend, i had a lot of fun watching him beating the game. I'm also looking forward to the new fable game but i doubt it will come out anytime soon. I woulden't get a xbox one x now unless you can get one cheap, pretty sure by the time the new fable comes out you can get a series x more easily then now.

For me I think heavy rain became unplayable due to a bug, i diden't have a stable internet connection in the room i was playing so i had to use my ps3 offline most of the times.

Well since Milestone seem to be pumping 2 motocross games a year out i woulden't get my hopes high up.

Yeah exactly i recently read an article that mentioned that only 20% of the games released ever turn a profit.

Imo the only right answer is Hello games, it's suprising how far No man's sky has come and how much better it is when it originally launched. They have added a ton of stuff over the years, even Vr support. While they could have abonded the game and forget about it, they stuck with it and kept making it better and better at no extra cost, that is supporting a game. I know most people hate the game and devs when it launched but i'm from oppinion everybody deserves a second chance.

Just quoting this post but it's meanly directed at the hate EA gets. So Let's play the advocate of the devil here : Answer this question -> Are 2k sports games that better then EA their sport titles? No they are not! Why because those companies have a monopoly on a certain sporst wheter it's football, soccer, wrestling, etc. They know they can get away with shoving a half assed product out there, how many times i've told myself i'm not going to buy fifa this year but in the end i usually end up buying it because i have no other option. I want to play with the real team names and players etc. There is simply no other gaming option out there and these companies know it. Blame it on the NFL, NBA, WWE, FIFA for being greedy and selling there rights to the highest bidder, because Let's face it a smaller dev would never be able to compete with a ea or 2k for the rights, just imagine how awesome would it be if we would get another NFL Blitz. You could also argue Fifa had the journey modes and now volta ( don't know if it's in fifa22) but how many people actually played this, i played trough volta last year and while cheesy at best for an offline player like myself it was a welcome addition, when the last achievement popped it had like 3.5 completion rate. So that's 35 people out of 1000. Why waste money, time and energy for a few people. Clearly if i was a dev i would focus my attention on where the most players and where the money is to be made, because at the end of the day that is what everybody business is about -> making money.

I don't know, from your list let's see : elden ring and god of war aren't really games i would pay full price for but in the future i'll get elden ring once i see it on sale. GT 7 and horzion forbidden west i'm 100% sure i'm going to get but i'm torn wheter i should hold off until i get a ps5 or not. GTA 6 isen't going released anytime soon so that's not really an answer either. If i had a ps5 i'd get GT 7 and horizon no doubt about it. GT7 would be my top pick

I don't really pre order anymore nor i see the point in doing it anno 2022 for major titles, unless it's a physical game with a low print run from limited run games,etc that i really want to have, sure i can get behind of wanting to pre order a collectors edition of a certain game, because you know scalpers are everywhere but that's about it. Pre ordering a game in the past used to come with all kinds of neat trinkets, sometimes you would get a steel book or a keychain/artbook. Nowadays you don't see that anymore. Let's not start about digital pre orders because that is completly pointless.

I usually lose track of time but not really my surroundings, I've got on hour spare time so let's play for an hour and that hour end up becoming 2-3 hours in the end.

Mine would probably be playing dead or alive xtreme volleyball when my parents could walk into my room anytime and boy they often did.

I'm kinda wondering how many people even bother to complete everithing or let alone bother with the sidecontent in a open world game. I've beaten the first watch dogs but I gave up on watch dogs 2 after an hour orso, it diden't click with me from the start, i'm usually the guns blazing type of dude, maybe i need to give it another change as i just picked up watch dogs legion since it was marked down to 19.99 in a local store i tought why not.

The only console that made a lot of noise was the base ps4 from what i remember, my ps4 pro may make some noise from time to time but that's nothing compared to a dreamcast. Xbox one runs pretty quit (most of the time) just turn the sound from your tv up. Loading times i felt like were okay some games toke a while, but never to an extent where it bothered me. Clearly i'm used to ps1/saturn loading times. Yeah i agree the home menu music would get on my nerves especially on ps4 and wiiu, mostly ps4 since installing games always seem to take forever compared to my xbox. I don't really see the connection between 8th gen and windows xp though care to explain? On a sidenote It's hard to believe that microsoft xp is over 20 years old, man how many times i've heard that gingle when booting the computer up. Then you had to wait another 10 minutes until the computer was fully booted up 😄

So is anybody going to do something fun in the next few days/weekend? With all the shit that is going on in the world let's talk about something else for a change? As for myself i've got the entire week off work, did some chores around the house today and probably will go for a nice long hike tommorow around 15 miles orso.

I can't agree more with this sentence. I also feel like the word Rpg is overused in games anwyay for example nearly every racing game has leveling up and xp in their games these days to a degree where it makes you wonder what's the point off it.

i'd hold off until the games go on sale that way i can buy 2 instead of one 😉

Let's face it in this day and age i doubt we will ever get a sequel to bully, would i like it offcourse but anno 2022 rockstar would get a shitstorm of criticism from cluelless politicians/parents etc you name it. Bullying is quite a sensitive subject. I'd much rather see them making a new La Noire!!
