  1. Just finished up Greedfall yesterday, while mediocre in gameplay i'm glad i stuck around for the entire game because the story and questlines were quite good. I'll probably start watch dogs 2 this afternoon, i coulden't get into it the first time but some folks here are very positive about it so may aswell give it another go.
  2. I think the board is just full of bots copying threads from this board, the weird thing is when you look at the members their join date is that they only logged in once and made over 5000 posts in a single day, i doubt any human is capable of posting that much posts in 24 hours.
  3. I'll just be honest and gave my vote to the green ranger. It was a toss up between him and crazycrab so next month i'll give him my vote.
  4. I don't really know how much "work" it involves being a moderator here, so it was just a suggestion. I do however kinda curious how much you and shagger have to intervene because i have no idea.
  5. It was the most logic thing to do, now publishers can have the spotlight on themselves whenever they want. During E3 it's always hectic to follow all the announcements and most smaller games slip trough the cracks that way.
  6. Lol, yeah bloody brilliant move from sony they already won the console war from microsoft before it even started. They did the same nearly 20 years earlier announcing the ps1 would cost 299$, while the saturn was 399$. Man it's crazy that sony always made the maximum from their competitors mistakes. They won 2 console generations fairly easy that way.
  7. The only game i've beaten that came out in 2022 so far is grid legends, while a superb racing game i doubt it's going to make a lot best games of the year lists.
  8. No, playstation 3 discs can't be played on a ps1 console. Just ps1 discs on a ps3 console.
  9. Both have their good and bad sides, sony has always been master in getting the maximum result out of their competiters mistakes, they won 2 generations that way. They already won with the ps4 before it even launched since microsoft fucked the launch of the xbox one so bad it hurts my eyes when i think about it. I've always been more of an xbox guy then a playstation fan, surely i like both but if i can play a game on xbox that's where i will play it. This has nothing to do with being a fanboy. The original xbox was the first console i bought on launch day with my own money i saved up for months ahead, had to go trough hell and back to get that money haha. Since It only felt the logic thing to do after the dreamcast died and there were so many sega exclusives on the og xbox it made sense for me to get it. Ever Since then i stuck around with xbox being my platform of choice. Does it really matter no because i end up buying both xbox and playstation consoles anyway
  10. Same for me as the blackangel, i still play a lot of old games from time to time but nowhere near as much as i like to but you know. It's more the nostalgia when playing games together with somebody i miss, like once me and nephew beat streets of rage 2 about 10 times on christmas eve, playing nba jam together against the ai on the hardest difficulty to see how we would fare.
  11. Same as i stated in another topic any playstation 3 model can play playstation 1 discs, so you should be fine if you wanted to check out driver 1 and 2 or any ps1 came for the matter. Playstation 2 discs can only be played on the first generation ps3 consoles, if you have a slim or super slim model ps2 discs cannot be played on those versions.
  12. don't know if it's relevant to the topic but you do know that every ps3 console can play ps1 discs.
  13. Damn @Shagger that is quite a post, sadly i wish i could contribute something but i've forgotten most of before the storm. I remember a few things like an entire forest got burned down and chloe and rachel first met at a concert in a barn ( i think ) and maybe a couple more but then i would be in spoiler territory. What i like most about the life is strange franchise how stupid as it may sound is the exploring and interacting with various items/people, like in the first game you can go explore the dorm or even better chloe's room/house were max makes comments about things in the past, i always tought that was pretty cool since it's add a bit of backstory and more depth to the characters.
  14. I picked up watch dogs legions for 20 bucks a few weeks ago, this thread got me kinda curious to say the least so i'm definatly going to give it try, i was always under the impression plays as any npc is a gimmick but apperently seems like a lot of fun. I don't know what to make of watch dogs to be honest, i played the first one and tought it was ok nothing really special, i believe it was also one of the first real "big" aaa games for ps4/xbox one. Never got really into the second game, i don't know why tough, played for a few hours and move onto something else, maybe i got burned out on ubisoft games or something, quite a few people seem to like the second game so i'll give that another chance first after i finish up greedfall.
  15. If it is going to be just as epic as the first bow i don't mind the wait and why not do a bold prediction -> nintendo being cheeky and releasing a more powerfull switch at the same day as bow 2 comes out. The original model of the switch will be over 6 years old by then so it would be perfect move on nintendo's part to do so.
  16. after about 80 hours orso i finally got every achievement in Grid legends. Truly a great racer that finds a perfect balance between arcade and simulation. Go check it out if you love racing games because there is a lot to like about the game.
  17. My 2 cents for what it's worth : -> Get atleast one more Moderator or maybe 2, i think the forum is just way too busy for 2 people who have have a full time job and family stuff going on, you can correct me on that if i'm wrong. Either just give them access to the gaming part of the forum which is the busiest part instead of the whole board. -> I'm not really a fan of discord, so i'll just leave it at that. I find it weird to use and don't really get why it's so populair, but then again i'm old and ways off with modern technology. ->While we are on the subject the forum already has more then enough section so adding another section to just chat if you really want to do that go ahead but isen't that what the general chat section is about. -> I'd say the whole board could use a little overhaul, the subsection videogames and platforms could be moved together because in theory they are just the same thing. For the rest of the board i'll admit i don't ever really use it since i come here to talk about games with like minded people. The mainstream topics like what's going on the world i already discuss enough in daily life. ->Maybe on a last note a conversation is bound to go off topic at some point, it's only natural but some people keep going on and on about the same thing that's what irritates me the most. It's not that i don't care what you have to say but atleast add something usefull, for example yeah i know the ps5 is out of stock everywhere but must we go on and on about it. Do some effort to secure one instead of complainging online all the time. -> i really like this place and i'll be happy to keep on posting for aslong the site is around, sometimes a single post takes me half an hour or more (like this one) when nobody bothers replying i feel like i really wasted my time.
  18. A masterpiece should be a timeless classic something that is still fun to play and holds up graphicly and gameplay wise to this day. I won't name any new games because we don't know how foundly they will be remembered in years to come. (Super) street fighter 2 meets all criteria for a masterpiece : gameplay wise still rock solid, easy to get into but hard to masters, characters are still as legendary today as they are now, no matter what system you play on well expect for the gameboy version still holds up today. Yep a timeless classic i still see myself playing for the next 20-30 years. If i make it that long Others i would include for the same reasons as above : Sonic the Hedgehog Super Mario World Streets of Rage 2 King of Fighters 98 Radiant Silvergun Road rash Age of empires 2 Up until a few years ago i would have included shenmue 1 aswell but that game has aged badly and it's hard to recommend to someone who diden't play it when it was the first time around. It's also the reason i diden't include any ps1/n64/whatever else console since a lot of those early 3d games have aged badly.
  19. I'm waiting for true colors to go down in price it's still 55 euros over here, maybe once it's down to 30 i'll pick up a copy. While i really like the series replayability is zero so that's why i haven't bothered yet. I played the first three and found before the storm the weakest of the three but maybe that's meanly because you know already know what is going to happen by the end of the game. I really like the first game arcadia bay is a joy to explore and the characters you'll get to love over time, something the second game lacks since most characters only appear in one episode and you move on to a new place. I don't know how true colors is but one thing i'd like to see is that they give us more exploration options, as in why not try something semi open world with some side stuff to do.
  20. In agree with @The Blackangel about the long out conversations being pointless but I'm not gonna nominate anybody since imo it should go to someone who's posts contribute towards the community in a positive way and posts that make sense and i haven't been here for too long so i feel like i've not got the right to do so. Since we are on the subject of long drawn out conversations : I know it's not not a populair oppinion but a lot of threads especially in the general gaming section go on for way too long to the point it doesen't really have anything to do with the topic in particulair. It makes it hard to read trough all "spam" posts and takes up way more time then it should be to fish out the quality posts. If you wanna chat why not use the general chat section instead.
  21. Mass effect trilogy hands down has the best companion quests in any game imho.
  22. It all depends on how interesting or boring the side quest is. Usually i have a pretty good memory if i'm really into a game. Usually i try to stick with one area at a time and move on from there like with assasins creed games, i do all the stuff in one region and then move on to the next region. Boring side quests : collecing 100 flags in assasins creed 2, you just remember that because it was so time wasting Interesting side quests : insert any witcher 3 side quest in here , because let's face it all the side quests were epic in their own right.
  23. A remake came out last year but it's only avaible on apple arcade don't know if it's avaible on the Istore as standalone game, but will moslikely come to consoles in the near future i suppose
  24. No offence but Don't know what world you come from, but the one i live in nearly every game launches with bugs/glitches and needs to be patched multiple times over the next few months. When you're amongs the first to play you're pretty much testing the game for the devs in this day and age. Like i'm currently playing a game and that keeps shutting my xbox series x off every few hours i play it, if somebody would have tested the game properly they would have noticed this and it already would have been solved, but no we're a month later several gamers are having the same problem as i have and it isen't even fixed yet.
