Something I always remember and I believe most remember as well is the very first console you ever got yourself that was your console to either be just for you or even for you and your siblings to share. I always remember the Sega Master System being the very first console me and my brothers got to share for Christmas one year and we absolutely loved the console. Do you remember your first ever console that was yours?

When it comes to games going backwards compatible, as much as many did get on the list and are now available for you to play on the latest console you have, there were many games that never got on the backwards compatible list and now probably never will. What games did you want to see become backwards compatible but never made the list?

I always remember when I was a kid, me and my brothers were bought a Gameboy to share and I always remember having tons of fun on the handheld back them. One thing I remember from the Gameboy was a game that my parents bought us which was like a carnival kind of game but I for the life of me can not remember the name of it even though I played it so much. Did you ever own a Gameboy? Do you still have one now and what games did you enjoy on the Gameboy?

Something I always remember is how old I was when I played my first ever video game and I am sure many others will be the same in remembering the first ever video game they played as well. I can always remember it being on the Atari as my dad was the one who introduced me and my brothers to video games but I can never remember the game I played at the time. Do you remember how old you were when you played your first video game?

I have been reading quite a lot over the last few days regarding the possibility of Nintendo announcing the Switch 2 and it possibly being very soon. We know that the Nintendo Switch was released in March of 2017 and if they were to stay on the track of releasing their new consoles in March, it could be possible that we will hear something very soon if they plan to release a new console soon. I do know that at Gamescom the Nintendo Switch 2 was demoed to developers so that is a very good soon You can read more here What are your thoughts, will we be seeing an announcement soon?

Party Animals is a game that I know released not too long ago. It is a game that is available on Xbox Game Pass if you have access to that and you can also play it on PC through game pass as well. I had seen it was available but have not as of yet played it but it does look like a lot of fun. Have you played Party Animals yet?

I last played some Fortnite last night again with my daughter. Managed to get my third crown royale this season and hoping there will be many more to come after that.

Alone in the Dark has been delayed until early 2024!
Shortie replied to Knight Plug's topic in Gaming News
I think it's a good thing that they have been transparent about having to delay the game and also about standing their ground and not giving in to demand as well. Too many game developers in the past have wanted to delay a game but have given into demand in the past which resulted in a bad release, one game that comes to mind if CyberPunk. Hopefully with this delay the game will be as good as they want it to be on release and it will be a success. -
I have become pretty burned out when it comes to Call of Duty. The last Call of Duty I really enjoyed was Black Ops 3 and after that, they just kind of became stale for me with nothing really new coming to the game. I have checked the trailer out for Modern Warfare 3 2023 and as much as it does look good, I can't help but feel as though it is again, something that isn't much new and just the same old. I may give it a try as I know my other half may be picking it up but it may be another game I miss again this year.

I don't have any issues with games and I feel that a lot of what we see in games now is something we need to adjust to. Of course you will get some who will not adjust and have something to say about it which causes debates and issues but the reality is that we are going to see these things and we are going to have to adapt in the future.

Square Enix seem to be in hot water at the moment. Losing $6 billion since the release of Final Fantasy 16 in June 2023, this could be something that Square Enix may strggle to pull themselves out of. You can read more about this story here This is shocking but not surprising. I feel that Square Enix tends to work on many other smaller projects as well as big projects much like Final Fantasy 16. If they were to focus more on bigger releases, this could have possibly been avoided.

I have known a few people to say this as well. Some people do need a little more to keep them occupied when it comes to a video game so I can fully understand why you feel as though this was not a game for you. I always used to love trying to do better each time I played and I found that to be what kept me playing, the addiction of doing better and getting better each time.

Gaming is a huge stress relief for me. After a busy day dealing with my kids, ensuring any work I have to do is done and also attending to things I need to around the home, being able to sit down, chill out and forget about the day and shut off in a video game is the best feeling ever and also helps me keep my stress levels down.

It is very rare that I will pre-order a console and I usually wait a little while instead before I make the purchase rather than jumping on it for release and running into issues. I have still yet to upgrade to the Xbox Series S or X, hoping I will be able to at some point but right now, still waiting.

I last played a few games of Rocket League last night. Not too often I play it but I had a lot of fun on the two games I played and it was a nice change from Fortnite 🙂

Are you still able to change your first gamertag that they give you for free still? I know they offered this option a while back when they gave you a random gamertag so that you could make it unique and your own.

I am currently in a relationship and we are both gamers and I can't say that I have noticed that it has caused any issues for either of us. Sometimes we play games together and other times we play with friends separately which we feel helps a lot as in some cases, you can end up getting fed up of each other if you spend too much time doing the same thing.

This is very true and something I wish so many would realize. They end up hurting their own cause when they cheat and that only makes things worse for them in the long run. I also hate how it ruins the game for others as well when it comes to things such as the game being played properly and it being fair for all.

At the moment for my laptop I have a 15 inch monitor which is perfect for me and for my gaming such as my console, I have a 32 inch TV which I use for my Xbox One X and in some cases I may also use it as a second monitor which I have done a few times.

I last played Fortnite last night before WWE Payback. Was lucky that my last game on ended up being a win but I was happy. Now to see if I can keep that crown and get my second crown win of this season :)

Ideal Amount of Time for Kids to Play Video Games
Shortie replied to Bizdustry's topic in Gaming Forum
I myself have four kids, one of them is now an adult and my daughter is also going to be an adult in October, I then have a 14 and 15 year old (going to be 16 in December) and I have always allowed them to play games as they tend to hang out with their friends online and play games such as Fortnite or even Apex Legends. I found that it helps them to relax and chill out after things such as school and college and they seem to feel a lot better for it being able to shut off in a game with their friends. Many people feel that too much console time for kids can result in addiction which I believe can in some cases and it's always wise to monitor your kids time on consoles but I have found that my kids will head out, leave the console for a while and do other things and I haven't had to worry about the addiction side of it. My kids are also all doing well in school and both my two eldest children have completed school with great grades and have gone to college as well. The school my kids go to encourage kids to do what they enjoy in their spare time once they have completed homework and such as they realize it can benefit their mental health. -
I know they were talking about it a while back, unsure whether it came into play a few months ago or whether it was recently. Still it is a shame that it was scrapped as it was something that people could use to check out game pass or even play games such as Starfield for a small price if they wanted to check out the game. I agree, not a surprising move but definitely a bad one on their part.

Volition Games has shut down permanently
Shortie replied to Reality vs Adventure's topic in Gaming News
This is quite shocking to hear. I have always been a fan of Saints Row and played every game including the new one and always had fun playing them. Also met some really awesome friends through the first Saints Row as well which has to be my favourite one with Saints Row The Third coming in second place. It's sad we will no longer see anymore Saints Row games after the final one released. -
I can't say that I have ever played Witcher 3 Wild Hunt but I hear so many people going on about it and how they love the game and the character Geralt. It's definitely a game that I would love to try when I have the time though!
