  1. I am a firm believer that it does help sharpen your memory skills. I believe any game you play can help with your memory skills as every game takes some kind of remembering whether it be a strategy that you need to remember or memorize or even something you did to get past a level in a game, it all adds up and helps with your memory skills.
  2. If aliens were to come down to earth, I would think they would be interested to know what gaming was and that they would be curious to see what we were doing. Hopefully they would also want to get involved with gaming themselves and possibly get into gaming much like us. Would be interesting to see.
  3. As much as I can understand why games like Apex Legends, Fortnite and even Fall Guys and Overwatch were ported over I don't think every game that is released should be ported over. With some games it will work and will allow many others to play using the console of their choice but games such as RDR2 as mentioned I don't think would work. Unfortunately, I feel as things progress we may end up seeing me AAA games ported over to the Switch whether we would like to see them or not and I feel that is because it will keep more people playing the games on the console of their choice.
  4. This is true. I do feel that with the COD community, the developers can never win and that is why COD is in the state it is in now. First they wanted it to stay how it was and then they wanted change, we got change with jetpacks but then they were not happy again and it got moved back and now I am not sure if the developers even know what they are doing anymore. They need to balance it out so that everyone is happy and so that it isn't a mess about for the players and the developers.
  5. I feel I am somewhat in the same boat, even if I tried to speed run a game something would in the end slow me down. I tend to get distracted by things I see in a game and because of that, I would instantly slow down to check things out.
  6. I agree, you would think there reasoning for delaying the game for that long would be because they have found bugs and looked at how long the bugs will take to iron out and whatever else they need to do to ensure the game is near perfect on release. Two years is a long time so if there are still major issues on release, it will have people wondering what they needed two years for.
  7. This is probably one of the best ways to go about it. The store I used to buy used consoles from is still around now and quite well known so that is why I tend to trust them as there has never really been any complaints regarding used consoles not being good, broken or just useless.
  8. Agreed on both, it really is difficult and I myself have never made it past the first part, I have seen people that have but damn did it take them a while to get past the first part and a lot of rage along the way as well. I agree with you on the cartoons as well, takes me back to when I was a kid when I watched cartoons, a lot different to what we have now but feels more normal that what we have now as well.
  9. Of course he will lay blame on everyone else and be completely innocent despite all the evidence they have to have been able to take it as far as they have done. He did look genuinely worried in court yesterday from the photos they took and that are now online. Seemed to make out like it was nothing once he was in front of supporters again though, classic flip switch to ensure everyone believes he is a victim in what he call a witch hunt. This may be a wake up call to all those in government and politics that if you try something thinking you will get away with it, you probably will not.
  10. It really is a shame to see that they have managed to port such a great game and mess it up. Had it of been done properly without being messed up it would have been a huge success but messing it up like they have done, they may never pull back from it now or of they do, it is going to take a while.
  11. I tend to go by platform, genre and also alphabetical order as well. I find sorting them like that helps me find games easier when I want them which when they are not sorted would be much more of a pain.
  12. As much as I am going to miss E3 it was no surprise to see it finally get cancelled. It had started lacking somewhat prior to the pandemic and the pandemic really did seal it's fate this time around. Was expecting to hear that it had been cancelled way before now to be honest.
  13. I was excited to see the release of their games side of Netflix but knowing it is mobile games it left me a bit disappointed and hasn't made me want to jump into getting a Netflix subscription any time soon.
  14. I feel if I were to make a game that addresses current issues then it would have to be a game based around depression and hidden disabilities. I feel as a society we still forget that many people do suffer with hidden disabilities and also mental health and all too often these things get ignored and it makes those who suffer with them feel bad about how they are feeling. It's an awful vicious circle to be part of. Being able to create a game based on both mental health and hidden disabilities I feel would be great to get the word out there and make more people realize that these things do exist and they are not just made up.
  15. I think the one game that made me rage quit the most was Cuphead. I have played many games over the years that have been frustrating and have made me rage a little but Cuphead definitely took the top spot. In fact, since the last time I played Cuphead and rage quit I have not been back on it since.
  16. I will admit I was not expecting to see an Oreo Xbox today but some days can be full of surprises! I will admit that does look really cool though and I do like what they have done with the Xbox and the Oreo as well. Do I think this is showing that they are running out of ideas? Definitely not, it's something unique and different that no one else has done before and in a lot of cases, that is what Xbox and Microsoft like to do. Xbox still seems to sell well and their Game Pass service is still quite popular so I do not think they are running out of ideas but more trying new things.
  17. As much as I have really enjoyed video games and I have been known in the past to spend hours on games such as Fortnite and also Destiny 2, I wouldn't say that I have ever become so addicted to these games that coming away from them was a huge problem and affected my social life or even my life in general. I feel as long as you understand and know that you need to take a break and you are able to get up and do that without any issues, you should be fine.
  18. As much as it would be possible for a game like manhunt to come out today I do feel it would get mixed reaction from many. Most gamers would love for it to be released today and wouldn't bat an eye but then you would get some people who would see the game and take it too far and that would change everything. Even though it is only a game, there will always be someone who takes it too far.
  19. The last game I played was Roblox and it was a Restaurant Tycoon game that I played again. Little different to Restaurant Tycoon 2 that I was playing a little while back but enjoyable to sit and play in between other things.
  20. It is sad to see that people will mod older retro consoles and they then lose their worth but as Kyng said, if some were not losing their worth then they probably wouldn't become valuable in the first place so I suppose in a way it is a good thing people do this.
  21. Last game I played was Restaurant Tycoon 2 on Roblox on Xbox. I tend to play games like this in between me working so I take the breaks I need so I do not get burned out. It's quite a fun game if you are in to Tycoons!
  22. I personally wouldn't say that gaming takes over TV for me but then again I don't watch too much TV and any TV that I do watch, I can't say that I have ever had the urge to want to take over like I would in a game and change things. I believe gaming and TV watching are two separate things and I love to watch TV shows for the storyline where I do not know what is going to happen, with stories if you are making the decision, you are going to know what happens and that is where I see a difference.
  23. I will admit, I am very wary when I buy used consoles and usually only go to places I know test them and check them well and so far I have never run into this issue when buying any used console. It is a shame though that you will get some sellers that will do this just for the money as they will not suffer for it, the buyer will.
  24. The term cool is something that I have always looked at as being someone who is popular maybe because of their opinions or because of what they have or what they wear. I always remember in school there would be students who were classed as being cool because they had the latest phone or the latest game or console or were wearing the latest trends.
  25. Delays are very much good for sure as that means they are still working on perfecting the game, as long as the developer stands their ground and does not give in to people complaining about the delay then it should be fine and they should be able to stay on schedule. I will admit though, sometimes it can be frustrating if it is a game you are eagerly waiting for and because of that, it often does make you wonder why they end up announcing a release date so early on.
