  1. If the machine is hacked, the minute you go online with it if it is still the same as it used to be, it tends to get bricked my Microsoft meaning you can still play games offline such as single-player games. I would imagine if you are able to download the games that it may not be hacked unless of course they no longer do what they used to with hacked consoles.
  2. I am against it and even if I were able to, I would never want to risk it due to so many games now having the ability to be able to detect when a player cheats and the usual punishment for that is a permanent ban from the game. I believe there was a member from Faze at one point who cheated on Fortnite and he did it on stream as well. Epic Games were alerted and he was permanently banned and could no longer make a new account either.
  3. There are a lot of consoles here that I can honestly say I have never heard of which would explain whether they were either not popular or why they were the worst consoles. I remember the commodore 64, the Atari and the Virtual Boy and I also knew about Ouya but that is about it, the rest are all new to me.
  4. I was unaware that a former member of the E3 team had created another conference but that is good to know. I agree though, it certainly does put as you say, a nail in the coffin. It's a shame as I feel with a lot more dedication E3 could have been so much more and it is a shame it went the way that it did but I guess all good things do come to an end eventually and this is what happened with E3.
  5. I agree and it is a shame that there are not more laws and as you say regulations in place to help prevent this happening when it comes to game developer companies. I guess it' a good thing we don't tend to see it often but for the times it does happen, it is not something you want to realize after making the purchase and enjoying the game. I don't see anything changing anytime soon though to prevent it.
  6. It was a real shame that the single-player of GTA 5 ended up pretty much ignored and never ended up being as important for Rockstar. I understand that the online part of the game, GTA Online was very popular but I feel that was made possible by the DLC's that they were releasing regularly. If they had also done this with the single-player side as well, it could have been just as possible. Definitely a good thing they missed out on.
  7. I expected to play more of my switch but unfortunately, the stick drift issue hit me and now the joycons are difficult to use. I can use it on the dock but sometimes, using it handheld is more convenient. I was playing a lot of Pokemon Unite at one point, I understand that is still quite popular as well. Have you played Pokemon Unite?
  8. I am still running the Xbox One X but my three sons have their own Xbox Series S that they got for Christmas 2021. I am often jealous at not only how fast their console boots up but also just by how fast they can also quick resume a game they were playing. The load in time for games as well is just amazing!
  9. This is very true, you would think by how popular they were it would never happen but when things change and technology changes and how we watch things and play games, if the business in question does not end up keeping up with that and evolving with the current technology, it will in the end result in them having to close and it seems this is what happened to both Gamefly and Blockbuster.
  10. I think for people who love to collect video games and also enjoy to have them physical as well, this will hit them hard when physical games start to really phase out which is a shame. I can only imagine how game stores will be when that finally does happen, won't be a disc in a case but a code in a case which I know we are seeing an increase in at the moment. I guess if they still make the cases for the codes, that could be one way to keep your collection going even without a disc within the case.
  11. Muscle memory is a very real thing in gaming I will admit. There have been many times when I have come away from a game for a while and as soon as I go back on it, it's like I never stopped playing it and my game play and what buttons and such I need to hit and use tend to come back to me naturally. Muscle memory really is a great thing which I do believe can also help with memory skills which are very important through life and as we get older.
  12. Not going to lie, a skittles event would be awesome and I would definitely love to see something like that. I have to agree with you that collabs between companies is something we are now seeing often and I believe are going to be around for the foreseeable future. I can only imagine what collabs are in the works for companies that like to do that kind of thing such as Microsoft and even Epic Games.
  13. I know this feeling only too well. I have so many games that I either purchased or put on my play later list and if I am honest, I still have not gotten around to playing them recently which is shocking. As I always say though, are you even a gamer if you do not have a huge backlog that you can not seem to get through no matter how hard you try? 😄
  14. When it comes to games that represent a cult following Call of Duty is the first game franchise that comes to mind for me. After that it is Fortnite, GTA, Apex Legends and also FIFA as well. Call of Duty and Fortnite would definitely be the ones I would say are the most popular for cult following when it comes to games.
  15. Before digital games became more popular I used to buy video games physically and I would collect them. I remember as a kid, me and my brothers had a lot of video games that we collected as we were all big gamers from a very young age. Nowadays though, with digital purchases being like the new normal, I tend to go that route now and very rarely buy physical games. I guess you could say I do have a collection but it is connected to my game account now which is my Xbox account.
  16. As much as I do know that people do enjoy open world games and I can understand why developers would want to get games out there which are open world due to the popularity but having a low variety of enemies, it does make the games very underwhelming for sure. As you say, a lot of developers tend to rush out their games due to marketing and also due to money as well and because of that, they don't spend the time needed to bring things to the game that would make them better.
  17. This does sound like it could be a lot of fun! Could you imagine how many people would be interested in a game like that as well? At the moment my favourite game is Fortnite and I will admit, I would love to see that as some kind of actual survival game with the need to protect yourself.
  18. Repetition is a good way to better your skills at a game. I can see how that would work in some games, in fact probably all games if you use it correctly as well as adding in things such as strategy as well if that is needed. Time, dedication and repetition is definitely a great way to get better at a game, I find writing down tips when I fail as well can also help a lot in me getting better the next time.
  19. I would imagine there are a lot of people who would love to see GI Joe get an adult style game and I also feel it would be something that would be very popular if that ever happened. I am very shocked that we have not seen this yet. You mention a GI Joe MK game and knowing how popular MK was and still is, that would definitely get a lot of people interested and be something that we have not seen in a game for a long time.
  20. I myself have always been a huge fan of Xbox and I have always preferred the console and the controller as opposed to the PlayStation console and controller. I also much prefer the exclusives that Xbox have as well which is what has kept me always going back to Xbox each time there was a new console. I don't believe you can sell someone on a console to purchase if I am honest as it all depends on what each individual prefers and likes. I may prefer the Xbox due to things such as the exclusives or the controller but someone else could prefer the PlayStation due to the controller and exclusives.
  21. I always remember as a kid, it was Resident Evil that me and my brothers spent a lot of time on when we were younger even though we were not the right age to do so. My mum was happy for us to play it as she knew what it was like and she figured as long as we were being watched, it wouldn't do any harm. I still love the Resident Evil games myself even now.
  22. I loved the Harry Potter games growing up. I am eager myself to get my hands on Hogwarts Legacy at the moment and have been since it released but having to wait until May before it was released for my console and then not having the funds has made it difficult. I always remember spending so much time on the PlayStation when I was younger playing the Harry Potter games and even the Lego Harry Potter games were ones I spent hours on as well. Are you looking forward to the Quidditch game that is in the works?
  23. I feel games such as the Telltale games are something you have to have a solid interest in otherwise it is just not something you can get into. I myself do not mind the Telltale games, especially if I am looking for a game to sit and chill out on and just relax on. The Walking Dead was one I enjoyed for that.
  24. I have to agree with you, being able to have remakes is nice if they are done right. Unfortunately, some developers tend to change some things which results in it not feeling the same as we remember and that can put us off the game or even game series in question. I am a firm believer that if you are creating a remake it should be a direct remake and if you are doing a remaster it should be a direct remaster. If you are looking to change things up, maybe make a new game with those changes instead of ruining older games.
  25. Mine again was Fortnite 🙂 really wanting to reach level 200 which I am I believe 20 levels away from now so hoping I will hit that within the next week or so. We have just over two weeks left of this season so plenty of time to be able to hit level 200 🙂
