  1. I found one today that I had to have lost IQ points from just reading 4 posts on. It's r/giraffesdontexist for the curious. Yes that's right. Giraffes Don't Exist. They're right up there with flat earthers on this one. I actually had to read the title of the sub 8 times to make sure I didn't need to get checked for dyslexia. And their reasoning for why giraffes aren't real, is pretty convincing...... That they're off their damn meds. I'm the one on anti-psychotics, but I think these people need them more than I do. Has anyone else found any disheartening subreddits? I'm talking about the kind that would make you lose any faith in humanity that you had left.
  2. The soggy outcome is that we were under the rule of a god damn nazi for four long miserable years, and our country was destroyed. The economy tanked, violence skyrocketed, millions were forced well below the poverty line when they had been middle class prior to Adolf. Healthcare was revoked. Equalities that the Obama administration had implemented were almost all revoked. We were a hairs breath from being nuked on a daily basis from North Korea. Adolf went out of his way to try to incite WW3, which surprisingly didn't work. All of our allies abandoned us. Even our closest. Millions moved abroad. The only ones that we had any relationship with was, surprise, Russia.
  3. NES--- Astynax Blaster Master Contra Kings Knight Legacy Of The Wizard Legend Of Zelda Zelda II Punch Out Q*Bert Wizards & Warriors TMNT 1 SNES--- Blackthorne Earthworm Jim 2 F-Zero Legend Of The Mystical Ninja Legend Of Zelda Mario Is Missing Mario Kart Mario World N64--- 1080 Snowboarding Banjo Kazooie Castlevania Conker's Bad Fur Day Hexen Mario 64 Mario Kart 64 Zelda OoT Zelda Majoras Mask GameBoy--- All Zelda Games Mario Land 2 - 6 Golden Coins Metroid II Switch library is way too big for me to try to narrow that down to pick any favorites, so I'm not going to even bother. Also, I was never a fan of the GameCube or Wii or any of the games on either system for that matter, with one or two exceptions. That's why I'm not listing them. This isn't a full and complete list either. It's just my number ones that I could think of off the top of my head.
  4. My top 3: FFVIII Castlevania SOTN Legacy Of Kain
  5. John is a bit of a flake, and didn't even want to admit that Jack was his son. He disappeared for roughly a year before coming back, something for which almost no one forgave him. Abigail, Jack, Arthur, the lot of them. If it wasn't for Dutch and Hosea, they would have told him to piss off. But I can understand him not thinking Jack was his son, as Abby was a whore, and had actually slept with all the men in the gang. So with all that, and the story not saying anything about how recent it was in relation to when she found out she was pregnant, if I was in John's shoes, I wouldn't be sure the boy was mine either.
  6. The Rocketeer on both NES and SNES. This game was just a broken mess. The beginning is like a flight simulator without having any gauges to read, yet being required to fly a plane correctly for several laps, maintaining speed, altitude, and a bunch of other horseshit. Another that was a waste of money for me was Witcher 3. I have nothing bad to say against the game. I just can't get into it. I've tried several times, and no matter what I do, I just can not get into the game. I know there are people here who love it, and more power to you. I'm sure there are games I love that a lot of people here can't get into. Zelda BOTW was another game I can't get into, not to mention all the Zelda entries on Wii. And Zelda has been my favorite series since I was a child.
  7. Some Zelda entries did a really good job with the Stalfos knights. There was a game I played once that, I shit you not, had an undead monkey in it. Kinda like the monkey Jack in Pirates Of The Caribbean. But it wasn't a POTC game. I wish I could remember it. Also I can't leave the lord of the undead off this list, the Count himself, Dracula. He has style, finesse, class, elegance, and just what a girl needs to fall head over heels.
  8. My girl is telling me to stay away from TLOU due to one of the creatures in it. I have a crippling trypophobia. Anything with holes or lumps that look like holes will send me into full blown panic attacks for the next couple days. Even thinking about it can trigger a panic attack.
  9. I’m on an iPhone 6S. The browser is Safari. The next time it happens I’ll take a couple screenshots and post them, which shouldn’t be too long with as frequently as this happens.
  10. Line up with your baseball bats and drug tests. I typically go to GameStop.
  11. Wow, that's a hard one. I have at least a little bit of experience with just about everything. I was going to say sci-fi, but then remembered that I played Star Wars a couple times when I was younger on the N64 and actually still have Shadows Of The Empire in my library. Even though I haven't played it in decades. Maybe a nonfiction game, if such a thing exists. If there are any, let me know a couple titles and I can answer that option better. I'll go through the genres I can think of and list at least one game that I have played, but it won't necessarily be the only one in that genre. Sports - random snowboarding games Fantasy - Zelda Adult - Conker Children - Banjo Kazooie Oddball - Earthworm Jim 2 Alien - Blaster Master Sci-fi - Star Wars Horror - Layers Of Fear Fighting - Mortal Kombat Side Scroller - Mario TV/Movie Based - Friday The 13th Game Shows - Jeopardy Vampire - Castlevania Open World - RDR2 Classic - Frogger That's all that is coming to mind at the moment. I know a couple are getting rather specific, but I felt they were big enough of a genre that I should include them.
  12. I experienced that very same thing, almost word for word. It was one of the worst trips I ever had and the only time I ever did heroin. The trip completely freaked me out, and I stayed with just about everything and anything else. I still have flashbacks 20 years later. Staying clean is not easy.
  13. I've seen it around, and it looks promising, but I personally have no actual interest in it. I've heard the same things about it that I heard about the flashback systems. So take your chances. It's not retro. It's an emulator.
  14. You actually can blame the script writers. THEY WROTE THE FUCKING MOVIE. And the actors share part of the blame. They could have turned down the role. And they weren't trying to make a heart touching movie, they were only interested in money.
  15. I think you missed the rest of the lyrics.
  16. This brings up another point I've been meaning to bring up. I have an issue with this forum on my phone that I don't understand. Almost every time that I come here, after a few minutes of reading posts my phone will start loading some new page either saying I've won some prize on Google, or that my phone is infected. Pressing the back button doesn't work so I have to close the window and come back. And it's only the VGR forum. Absolutely no other site online that I have been to or go to gives me this issue. My phone is not infected, that much I know for a fact. @DC do you have any idea what's causing what I'm experiencing? I'm on another forum that's Invision, and don't have this problem there. It's ONLY here on the VGR forum.
  17. Agreed, but when they take a tragedy and try to make a love story out of it, then it's simply going too far. Titanic and Pearl Harbor are two prime examples. There were a lot of WW2 veterans that were enraged by the movie Pearl Harbor. My maternal grandfather was one. He went completely ballistic when it came out. I've never seen anyone so pissed off in my life. I was genuinely scared and stayed away from him for several years. I was never comfortable around him anyway, but that cinched it. The same was for Titanic. There were a few Titanic survivors still alive, and they went ballistic too. And rightfully so for those involved with both events.
  18. It’s a pretty even match between Zelda and FF8 for me. Both feature some of the most amazing and imaginative creations I’ve ever seen.
  19. Zelda A Link To The Past I don’t know why, but I have always known that I could be content and possibly even happy living in Links house.
  20. Jack in RDR2. He’s about 4 years old, and at one part his mom asks Arthur to spend some time with him. So the two go fishing. While at the creek, Jack picks some flowers and binds them together to make a necklace for his mom. Anyone who sees that part will remember their childhood and remember doing the same thing themselves.
  21. The Last Of Us People here have recommended it left and right, but I have never actually played it. ———————— Skyrim I’m not sure if this really counts, but I have barely touched it. After escaping the dragon in the beginning, I may have an hour if time in the game. I’m in some town needing to talk to the jarl. Yet you guys talk about things in the game and I don’t have a damn clue you’re talking about. So for my severe ignorance and microscopic experience with the game, I think it qualifies for this thread.
  22. First off, a good reason to even enter, preferably on an optional basis. Second, a changing setup instead of sticking to one theme for the entire dungeon. Third, multiple variations of enemies to face including unique enemies only found in said dungeon. Fourth, consequences to all choices. Both positive and negative consequences. Fifth, a justifiable level of difficulty. Not a cruel difficulty level (Zelda ROM-hacks) but not something so easy it could be played in your sleep. Something that easy typically offers no entertainment, as there’s no accomplishment. It’s why there are several of my favorites that I burn out on extremely quickly. I’m too good at them because I’ve played them so damn much. But above all, a good challenge, and a sense of accomplishment afterwards. An item or treasure is always great too.
  23. I actually have been learning to play dominoes thanks to RDR2. You can also play blackjack and poker in the game. The poker version is Texas Hole ‘Em I think. I’m not 100% on that though. Granted, the pot is a lot smaller than it would be today, but that’s due to the value of the dollar 120 years ago being higher. Five cents then was like five dollars now.
