  1. An update on the marines. They actually do use live ammunition in training now. But they use rubber bullets. So yes, soldiers are getting shot, but not lethally. Rubber bullets hurt like hell, and make you think it penetrated the flesh, but they don't. The corps think it trains the infantry better. The marine corps are fucking morons.
  2. Thanks. While I use a PC, I've been out of the technical side of it since Win98. So I don't have a clue about much of anything anymore. And I have never even come near UNIX or LINUX, so I don't know anything about them other than their name. But from what I gather from your reply, I'm assuming they're an operating system like DOS?
  3. Waiting on a few packages. Other than that same shit, different day.
  4. I created 2 subs, but so far no one has really posted but me.
  5. Me personally, I would have killed him. If I had kids, that would be one way for someone to commit suicide. Fuck with my babies and you die. I'll deal with the cops later. But considering the circumstances, a parent would get off light, or possibly even acquitted. Fuck with me, you get a cast. Fuck with my babies, you get a box.
  6. Semantics can't save them. They should just admit what they really mean: "We don't give a shit as long as they pay."
  7. That's pretty much all I play. I rarely touch anything else with an exception or two. I've said many times that I'm a classic gamer. Nothing will ever beat the NES.
  8. @Shagger @Crazycrab I'm tagging you guys, because if I remember correctly you live in Scotland, so I thought you might be especially interested in this one. As someone with the vast majority of their heritage being Scottish Celt, I know I am. I came across this game looking at upcoming games in the eShop, and thought it should get a mention. It takes place in Scotland. It's currently going for $14.99 USD (£11.95/€13.34). Here's a few screen shots about it.
  9. Leno was good, but Johnny Carson was better. Both had their own unique charm that they brought to the show, but I still think Carson was the better of the two. And I agree the headlines were ROFLMAO material.
  10. I'm 38 and, as already stated, have bought many games from the eShop. Also I have met many people my age and older who have gotten their majority of games from the eShop, the same as me. You were incorrect saying that it's a younger demographic. You were also incorrect saying that affluence plays a part. Some of the best games on the entire eShop cost less than $2. And I'm not the only one saying that. Also games go on sale quite often. That also includes big names like Mario Odyssey, and Zelda BOTW. I have personally seen them on sale more than once. But since I already had the cartridges, I had no reason to buy them. The games in the eShop appeal to more than kids. Many are not intended for younger audiences, and are only available as DDL's. One that I have is Layers Of Fear: Legacy. That one is in no way for children.
  11. As long as it's as comfortable as the Dualshock 4, I don't care.
  12. I never would have made that connection, but you're spot on. I may have to get the first one out and give the game a try. I ended up with it, most likely from a bundle that I bought at some point (I buy bundles often) but have never tried it. But being that it could mirror the way the world is right now, but in a different way, that shows there is more to the game than meets the eye.
  13. Layers Of Fear: Legacy has made me jump out of my chair. Not from anger, or excitement. But because it's a horror game and has jump scares in it frequently.
  14. You're not the only one. I've never once played it.
  15. Just to get started: Zelda A Link To The Past Zelda OoT Castlevania SOTN Blaster Master Contra FF8 SMB 1,2,3 Q*Bert Street Fighter 2010 Wizards & Warriors F-Zero Legend Of The Mystical Ninja Hexen Mario 64 Goblin Sword Zelda Links Awakening Poly Puzzle Dantes Inferno God Of War (any) And a plethora of Atari games.
  16. I don't know if DOSbox is the best option. I tried it, and it never worked.
  17. There was an article with the pic that explained it, but I can't for the life of me remember what it said.
  18. The cloud formation in the pic is the thing that captured me and made me save the image.
