When I try to use the bb code [] [/] to bold/italic/underline etc, it doesn’t do it. It just posts that as part of the post instead of an effect on the text.

Are baby boomers authoritarians?
The Blackangel replied to Reality vs Adventure's topic in Debate, Politics, & Religion
I’m pushing 40, but you hit all the nails on the head. From the moment I was born I was taught their racism. I was in kindergarten before the first time I ever heard the word “black”. I’m not exaggerating about that. That’s a literal fact. Everyone knows the word I did know. My father was a navy Vietnam vet. My grandfather was a WW2 army vet. I was in the marines until I busted my back. Out of 10 grandkids on my mother’s side I was the only one to even consider military. I was my grampas favorite anyway, but that just added to it. My parents were boomers. He died in 2000, thankfully. I have no idea if she is still alive or not, as I cut every last bit of my blood line out of my life several years ago. Their bullshit of complaining about how the younger generations are destroying the world gets old quick. Wait, the younger generation is destroying the world? Aren’t you the only fuckwads that dropped a nuclear bomb on anyone? Yep, we’re destroying the world for sure. -
Are humans parasites?
The Blackangel replied to Reality vs Adventure's topic in Debate, Politics, & Religion
How much I wish I could argue this, but it’s a sad fact of reality. Homo Sapien is a disgusting parasitic virus. It looks to destroy due to its greed over a fictitious value of a piece of cotton fiber paper and small pieces of metal. To paraphrase a Cree proverb: Only when the last tree has been cut, and the last fish has been caught, and the last river has been poisoned, will we realize that we can’t eat money. -
This one took two end tables to put it up. There’s no way to mount something this big on the wall. We had to borrow a truck from my girl’s father just to get it home. It’s fucking big.

I can’t find it in the eShop. Maybe it’s just not announced yet.

Do you have any rare games in your collection?
The Blackangel replied to Kane99's topic in Video Games
I’m looking to buy the right copy of [i]Little Samson[/i] before long. eBay has several people selling. I only have to decide how much I’m willing to spend. One person has an authenticated, factory sealed, graded copy for $5,500. I’m heavily considering that one. But there are several others that are only the cartridge, authenticated as well, for roughly $1,000-$1,500. So before too long I’m gonna have one of the rarest NES games in existence. Possibly one of the rarest video games period. -
I expected it to be at least $200 higher, so I can honestly say I’m pleasantly surprised.

I collect Zippos and skulls. I have almost 70 Zippos at the moment, and almost 50 skulls. The skulls range in size from a parakeet to a zebra. But my buffalo skull may be bigger than my zebra. I’m not really sure. I have reptiles, mammals, and birds. I don’t think I have any amphibians or fish at the moment, with one exception. I have a 5” 2½ million year old Megalodon tooth.

Do you have any rare games in your collection?
The Blackangel replied to Kane99's topic in Video Games
Ducktales 2 (NES) TMNT Tournament Fighters (NES) Taboo: The Sixth Sense (NES) Yo! NOID (NES) The first 2 are fairly valuable due to their rarity. The others are just some that most have never really heard of. I have a lot of others, but just didn't feel like going through the whole list. -
I don't know if this counts as a milestone or not, but I found it funny as hell. Especially for a sociopath.

I would have to know all the details, down to the nitty gritty of the intent. But I'm trying to branch out into new things in my gaming, so I could be interested, even though I have always hated online gaming as a whole.

What games do you see getting remastered yet again for next gen?
The Blackangel replied to Kane99's topic in Video Games
There's a good chance some of the early God Of War games could get a remaster. Red Dead Redemption could be on the list too. I don't see RDR2 getting it, however. Nintendo went way back to early Game Boy with the remaster/remake of Links Awakening. They also remade Ocarina on the 3DS. So anything and everything is on the list. -
GameStop To Close At Least 400 Stores By The End Of The Year
The Blackangel replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming News
I always liked GameStop personally. I've never had bad customer service, but from what I've heard, I do have to say that the employees are treated like shit. As for digital/physical, I see everything going DDL. It's cheaper and you still get the same game. There are already games that are DDL exclusively. You can buy it anywhere that sells games, but there's just a slip of paper in the case with a download code in it. But I also think Nintendo is going to hang onto cartridges for a while, simply for us classic gamers that grew up on Nintendo. To give us a little bit of nostalgia, if you will. -
I agree. That makes no difference to me if it's prettier on a slightly different version of the same machine. It feels like a PS4/PS4 PRO situation. I have a PS4 simply because I didn't want to spend the extra money for a PS4 PRO. I don't really see any difference between the two personally, so I saw no point in spending an extra $150 for the same damn machine.

OK, I have never liked FPS games, but this one looks fucking awesome. I may be drawn into a genre that I never liked if I'm not careful, LOL.

I'm signed up to Nintendo Online, but I doubt I'll play this. I'm not a fan of online gaming. The only reason I'm signed up is for access to exclusive games. And also I can play a multitude of NES and SNES games when I'm out. I don't really like playing them on Switch because it's nothing more than an emulator, which is something I have always hated. But if I get an itch to play NES/SNES when I'm out, at least I can scratch that itch until I get home.

The music was pretty good, and the game play looks awesome. I'm gonna have to check it out.

That is a moot point for me. I don't talk to people unless I'm forced to. Posting on this forum is the closest I come to talking to people when it comes to gaming. I do have a friend that I have emailed with for a while. Initially we matched due to our love of gaming, but have clicked on other topics. So while it was initially gaming that got us talking, we became friends on life views and experiences. I will say that it feels weird as fuck to have someone that I can call a friend. I've never been able to do that before.
-
I don't know if I would say I lost a friendship, but there was a time when things were tense. When i was a teenager, I was a master at games like Street fighter 2, Mortal Kombat, and Killer Instinct. I would go over to the neighbors house and we would spend the day gaming. They would kick my ass on games like Mario Kart. But when we got into fighting games, I slaughtered them. They couldn't take it, so things got tense and I would always end up leaving. They beat me at everything else, but couldn't handle a girl kicking their ass at a fighting game. Boys are so sensitive.

Mine is a 75 inch Samsung. It's a great TV.

What is one overlooked gem more people should play?!
The Blackangel replied to DC's topic in Gaming Forum
I got it on my Switch, and I relate to Senua so much. She and I share the same struggles in so many ways. It's not just a gem, it's a gold encrusted gem. -
Tetris is by far the most overrated game of all time. It's nothing but blocks falling. There is literally nothing else to the game. Just blocks. No point. No purpose.
-
So far I have to say I'm not a fan. The previous setup was great, but this one isn't really doing it for me.

What would you do in a zombie apocalypse?
The Blackangel replied to DylanC's topic in Forum Games & Fun
Put my head between my legs and kiss my ass goodbye. I can’t run or fight due to having MD. So I would be prime zombie food. -
