  1. If they were going to do something along those lines, I would see them going to a straight up VR market eventually. They may make some so called "improvements" or upgrades to the Switch and release a Switch 2, or Switch Pro or some other title. But personally, I'm more than happy with my Switch Lite.
  2. A gamer who goes by the Reddit handle DMarlow310, posted a video about a what most are calling a glitch. He walked out of a building and got into a fistfight. Another NPC came up behind who he was fighting, and stuck his knife into the guys neck, then walked away as if nothing had happened. I've played the hell out of RDR2, and never once seen anything close to this. It's the WEIRDEST fucking thing. The article and glitch video are here. Floating bodies and horses dying for no reason doesn't seem so weird now.
  3. I enjoy the hell out of the game, simply because of the violence. And in actuality, it's more violent than people expected. The majority couldn't stomach it. The only ones that could were those of us that are misanthropic beyond what most people can imagine except other misanthropes.
  4. One option you may have, is you could go around to computer repair shops, and they may have parts lying around that are just taking up space. By that I mean small local shops, not something so big that it has multiple locations. Those usually ditch all their old stuff. But the other places often do have what they term "junk parts" that are just wasting space. They may be willing to sell you something that you need for a really good price, or even give it to you. But don't hold your breath. That would be like getting struck by lightning while you're cashing in a billion dollar lottery ticket.
  5. I get what you're saying now. I just misunderstood your point.
  6. As far as gaming YouTubers go, I have to go with one of the best known. AVGN gets my vote. No matter how many times I've seen a video, they always make me laugh.
  7. You have to be smarter and more business savvy than I am, but if you invest right, you can make a million fairly easy if you give it a year or two. Like I said in my initial post, $1,000,000 isn't a whole lot of money these days except to people who aren't well off. If this was 1960, then a million would be hitting the lottery beyond your wildest dreams. But alas, that was longer ago than I've even been alive.
  8. I'm thinking my choice has changed. I would as of now most likely say Red Dead Redemption II. I finally found a real family there. People who care about each other, instead of literally using the youngest as a fucking punching bag. Physically and emotionally.
  9. I think I might have tried Driver once, but I'm not sure, as driving games aren't really my thing. The only kind of game that would be any exception to that would be Mario Kart, but I don't know if that really counts in this instance.
  10. That's not quite true. Granted the majority of games are just "learn the basics and you're good to go" style, but there are a lot of games that heavily use strategy. Any game where you need a decent amount of stealth requires strategy. From what I gather, Skyrim is one. Any sniper game requires strategy, because you need a place to shoot from, that doesn't put a flashing sign over your head saying ENEMY IS SHOOTING FROM HERE. Strategy comes into play on a lot more games than you're giving credit to. Even the old stuff like Donkey Kong, Frogger, and Galaga. They require a decent amount of strategy. And they have gone down as some of the ultimate classics in gaming history. I would honestly be surprised if there's even one gamer over the age of 10 who hasn't played at least one of them.
  11. You’re just a kid?! WOW. I would not have thought that.
  12. My favorite PS4 game has made a huge change. It's now RDR2. GoW and FF15 are great games, don't get me wrong. But for me, nothing can beat RDR2.
  13. Those things make me want to puke. They're an insult, slap in the face, and a disgrace to gaming as a whole, regardless of which one you get.
  14. I've always played third person since the N64 days. As a result, I've grown to prefer third person over first person in all the games I play. I've tried first person several times, and it just felt awkward and out of control to me. And with games like Skyrim, I have two options. Either play it in third person, or don't play it at all. But that's simply because Skyrim is one of the few games that I simply don't have the ability to do anything at all in first person. RDR2 is the same. I can only play it in third person as well. Maybe I just flat out suck at newage gaming, but that's how I play.
  15. This is a thread where you just rave your ass off about a game. There's probably 50 of them already, but I figured what the hell. I'll start a new one since I can't find any. I know I said I could never play it again, but I'm back at it with Red Dead Redemption II. I missed Arthur specifically, but the entire group as well. Drunk Uncle and Reverend Swanson, loansharking Herr Strauss, levelheaded Hosea, wisecracking Lenny, even bitchy Susan Grimshaw. I can't help it. I'll keep coming back.
  16. I picked up a few games today through the Nintendo eShop. Two of them I have been wanting for a long time. One I have to credit to @Shagger for his glowing review of it. The other, I can't remember where I initially saw it, but it was most likely here. The one @Shagger talked about was Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice. It's currently downloading on my Switch, and I can't wait to get into it. The other game is a little goofy. After Hellblade is done downloading, the next one that will start downloading is Cuphead. I mainly wanted that one because it is drawn up exactly like the old cartoons I watched as a kid. The same art style, the same graphics, all of it. I specifically want to give a special thank you to @Shagger for Hellblade. You can read his review HERE.
  17. I hate emulators. I have to have the actual systems. Hell I picked up an extra Atari 2600 yesterday for $25.
  18. Not a snowballs chance in hell. I couldn’t compete in esports if my life depended on it. I’m not into the games that are offered for the competitions, and I don’t have the drive to train in the games enough before the ones in the competition change. I’m more likely to get up and walk to the mailbox than compete. For those wondering about that last statement, I’m in a wheelchair, and will be for the rest of my life.
  19. Your comments about scapegoating IS scapegoating. You’re refusing to acknowledge the actual issues, and blame it all on someone else. The way you’re acting is an example of racism. You’re talking as if the ones involved in the riots are the only ones that exist, and/or are representatives of every single black person everywhere. That’s close minded racist bullshit. Listen, really listen, to what is said in the following video. Hopefully it will help open your mind a bit.
  20. It looks amazing, but those of us here in the states may never get the opportunity to find out. Since Covid, and the ban on TikTok, anything Chinese has gotten so much hate here, that it’s like it was after 9/11 for Muslims and Arabs in general. The American people are always looking for someone to hate and use as a scapegoat.
  21. BLM is about equality, not criminal violence.
  22. I don't know a lot about this, but I'm on their mailing list as I collect Zippos.
