  1. I've only bought a few. How much it would total up to, I have no clue. I bought Skyrim for my Switch, when I already had it for PS3, and I bought the remaster of Zelda: Links Awakening for Switch as well, when I already had it on Game Boy. I got the dual FF7/FF8 cartridge for Switch and the FFX/FFX2 cart also. I've got Witcher 3 on both Switch and Xbox One, but to be honest I'm not really sure how that one happened. Also I somehow got a hold of a dual cart of Zelda: Link To The Past and Zelda: Four Swords on my GBASP. I had Link To The Past on SNES, and 4 Swords on Game Cube. So some of these, no idea, others I definitely know why.
  2. To be honest, I usually don't even notice. I'm always concentrating on the gameplay more than the background music. But I can easily see myself muting the game if it's something short and repetitive. That would get old as hell REAL quick.
  3. I have this game on my Switch, and it's evil. It's basically mental exercise for your brain. I've never been good at describing things, but it's not easy. Your brain sees it and doesn't follow it. It's like that test from grade school: Pick the green: Yellow White Red Purple Green Anyone remember that crap? Well, this is worse. But if your brain needs exercise, go for it. I don't know if it's available on any other platform, but it's worth looking into.
  4. I have to agree with you. I haven't played a lot of Darksiders, but I have played DMC4 a lot, and it's just amazing. I don't fully know why it sits below Final Fantasy either. Maybe because the FF series is older and has more hardcore fans.
  5. You weren't missing anything with FF IX. It was pure shit. It looked like it was going to be a good one, despite the fact that Amarant Coral looked like a giant chicken on the cover. But it just flat out sucked.
  6. Ever Quest (AKA Ever Crack) caused a lot of health problems for people. They were so obsessed with it they would stop their real lives entirely to play the game. It was insane. I never played, but I heard about it all the time when it was in its heyday.
  7. I honestly haven’t heard anyone even talk about WoW in a decade. 10 years ago everyone was going nuts over it. If someone owned a computer, they were playing it. Hell, it was so big that South Park even did a WoW episode. I personally wasn’t impressed with it in the least. It was slow, tedious, and there was no actual action. It was one of the most boring games I’ve ever played in my life.
  8. Has anyone played this? I picked it up today because it looked good. But the damn case didn't say anything about first or third person, or anything to that effect. Did I waste $20? I got it on PS4 if that matters. I have no idea if it's a system exclusive, or anything else other than I thought it looked like a fun game.
  9. I wouldn't say it's a mind gone wrong. I get great pleasure of inflicting harm on others. Blood and mental anguish are my favorite things. Seeing the despair in another's eyes, and knowing you could end that despair in one simple move, yet choosing not. It's beautiful. To most it's not. But to many it's the only appealing thing. It's all we know. We get our enjoyment from it. Infliction of pain on the unsuspecting, and deserving of society is euphoria. As for the undeserving, that is just pure sport. Remember one thing always people. Psychopaths are born. Sociopaths are made.
  10. Hosea doesn't really show you much when he takes you bear hunting. When you get out and explore on your own you see a lot more than you would expect. You can also catch yourself a wild horse if you prefer. I caught myself the white Arabian, which is listed as the best horse in the game, and believe me, she has proved that to be right. You can walk up and kill anyone in the game, but you need to be ready to run, and or kill the witness. There's always a fucking witness to any crime you do. You can go hunting/fishing for legendary animals. If you see an animal in the game, there is one legendary of it somewhere. There are all sorts of side quests you can do, termed "stranger missions". You can loot any dead body, whether you are the one that killed them, or you just happen to come across them. You can get all different kinds of guns, but some are only unlocked to buy after you reach a certain point in the game. You can even customize the guns to your liking. You can craft al sorts of things like explosive bullets, and poison arrows. The possibilities are endless in that game. Just stay the hell away from the Blackwater area.
  11. You have exquisite taste. I would love to spend a day gaming with you.
  12. I’m just wondering if it is DDL only, or if a physical copy will be released.
  13. I rarely venture past N64, but in my opinion, Skyrim is VASTLY better than Witcher 3. And I think most here would agree with me on that.
  14. AOE 1/2, Diablo 1/2, MDK, and a couple hunting games.
  15. I highly doubt it. The cops stepping in in GTA is a script that is supposed to happen. This is just a random NPC that you will most likely never see again, and have had no interaction with prior, that came in and killed the guy you were fighting with. This is the first time I have ever heard of something like this happening in RDR2. And I play the game like a fiend. I've seen floating bodies, horses just fall over and die, people walking around in mid air. Hell I got reported for trespassing when I was walking down the street in Rhodes last night. So there's a lot of weird shit that happens in the game, but this is beyond that. I can't come up with a plausible explanation unless the NPC's were fighting prior to OP getting into a fight with the one.
  16. I have tried DOSBOX several times and it never worked. It did absolutely nothing but waste space on my hard drive. So unless I'm missing something, I don't recommend it.

    Tetris

I've hated tetris my entire gaming life. There is no point to it. It's just blocks dropping. After the third block it's so repetitive you lose 4 IQ points with each block. It's the most dumbed down game in existence. Not to mention that in all fairness it can't even be called a game. 🖕 tetris
  18. I loved both Arkanoid and Space Invaders. I have Space Invaders but not Arkanoid. I'll have to look into getting it when I get my check later this week.
  19. I watch my girl play games a lot. We’re both huge RDR2 nuts. So when she wants to play, I like to sit back and watch. It’s a lot like playing myself.
  20. 50 hours straight, or 50 hours total?
  21. I know it’s not your intention to make me feel stupid. I doubt anyone talks about specs in the hopes that someone specific here feels like an idiot. Like I’ve said before, the last time I knew anything about computer specs was the Win98 era. I try to follow what you guys are saying, but there’s so many letters, numbers, and words I don’t want to even try to pronounce being thrown around in those discussions, that I feel like I should stick my toe back in my mouth and wait for a diaper change. Yes, I never sucked my thumb when I was little. It was always my big toe. I was weird then, and I’m even weirder now.
  22. I used to craft my own items for Diablo II. I would script all the attributes I wanted into a ring and install that in the inventory of my character. Typically I made them extremely fast and sometimes invincible. But for the invincible ones, I just did that to try to find complete sets of items when I was bored.
  23. One that I actually got on my Switch, but is also available on mobile is Goblin Sword. It's a side scroller with the graphics you would have seen on either Sega Genesis or the SNES. I think personally think Sega moreso than SNES. Another one that's fun is Mahluk. It's another side scroller, and pretty low on the graphics, but a lot of fun. The controls are a bit tricky to learn, but once you do, it's totally worth it.
  24. It's not a bad idea, but I think they're still a little gun shy due to the monumental failure of the Virtual Boy. That thing damaged not only their bank account, but their reputation as well, for a long time. It's one of the many factors in why they worked so hard on the N64. They didn't want to go back to being a playing card company. But, as gaming progresses and advances, I can foresee Nintendo, PlayStation, and Xbox all three possibly going into the VR market at some point. But also with the success of the Switch, I can also see Nintendo leaving the home console market and focusing strictly on portable systems. Only time will tell though. I mean aside from those that only game on PC, who wasn't happy to have Skyrim and The Witcher on a portable device?
