  1. Was I on acid right now? Oh, god, imagine watching this video on acid. I would be apologizing to every piece of chicken I ever ate. Assuming I could remember their names.
  2. Got a new gaming PC yesterday and a mini fridge. So I have to set them up in my home office. Also I'm going to start going through the shit in my garage. I have a ton of boxes of junk out there, and need to see what (if anything) I want to keep.
  3. One thing I have wanted to try for a long time is alligator. No one around here sells it. I think it's expensive to ship from the deep south to Missouri. So I would have to go down there to try it most likely. Even though I'm still in the south, I'm not in the deep south. But either way, alligator is on my food bucket list. And if I ever make it to China for whatever reason (I already know I won't) I would be willing to try scorpion and tarantula. Mainly just so I could say I had. Who knows, I may end up liking it.
  4. What is one collectible item that you can't stand people collecting? For example one of the 2 items I collect is skulls. If you're curious about the other, it's just Zippos.
  5. If you weren't involved with (running?) VGR, what would your career choice be?
  6. There are a lot of extremely popular games that I haven't played, but that's simply because they are the type of games that I don't enjoy. For example I haven't played any of the Doom games. I haven't touched almost all of the ones @Alyxx just mentioned. The only ones I have played off her list is GOW and I've tried a couple AC games. The others, I've never played. Also I haven't actually started playing Skyrim, even though I have it. not sure why, I've just never gotten around to starting a campaign. It's the type of game I enjoy, I just haven't started yet. One type of game that I can't play for personal reasons is the Modern Warfare and COD type of games. I can't do those. I actually won't allow anything military related into my house. I can't even fly the American flag. But for my heritage I still fly Ireland, Scotland, and Germany. Wow I got way off track, didn't I? Damn. I suck.
  7. There's games out there that no one ever brings up. Games that, at least from where I'm sitting, seem really popular. Yet they're completely off the radar. I want to hear what people have to say about some of them. I don't think "obscure" is really the right word to use (because I'm sure everyone knows of it), but just kinda in the silent realm of conversation. For me I would have to bring up Dante's Inferno. The game is just amazing. It could possibly be stretched to make an argument that it's slightly similar to GOW to some people. But it has its own special charm. Yet not once can I recall anyone mentioning it. What are some games that fit this to you?
  8. Violence has existed for as long as humanoid creatures have existed. Homo Erectus, Homo Habilus, Homo Sapien, etc. etc. The animal kingdom is no different. Watch chimpanzees for a quick example. They war against each other just as bad, and often worse than people have. They have no video games. So to all those that want to blame video gaming, what's your excuse for them? And don't give me that "lesser intelligence" bullshit. They're smarter than humans, whether humans want to admit it or not. Humans just have a more realized consciousness. Video games are just a convenient scapegoat.
  9. I'm right there with you on that one. But one for me that I have to admit to, is that I have always liked a lot of the games that LJN put out. People constantly talk shit about LJN, but I have enjoyed the hell out of a lot of their games. A series that I absolutely hate is Halo. I've given it a couple shots, and hated it each time. I also don't see a logical point to GTA. It's boring and has no actual objective. Unless beating up hookers and running people over is an objective. And don't even get me started on tetris.
  10. I would say it would either be Bon Jovi or NKOTB. I listened to both almost non stop when I was a kid. Granted there were other legendary bands, but those two topped the list for me.
  11. If you could solve one ancient mystery, what would you pick? Examples would be what happened to the Easter Island civilization or reason for the moai, how was Stonehenge constructed, why were the Nazca Lines drawn, and so on. Nothing religious though. No shroud of turin, ark of the covenant, mecca, the buddhas burial site, etc.
  12. NES was and is the best. They didn’t sacrifice story for cosmetics. The best games came out in the era. I have a game on PS4 that I bought because it had SNES graphics. I love it. The classic blocky, pixelated graphics will always win out over lifelike graphics for me.
  13. GTA and Halo. I never understood the appeal of either. I’ve played them, but to me they were a big fat nothing. They just seemed like a sad attempt at a cash grab by a desperate game company.
  14. Zelda games. NES, SNES, and N64. I’ve also played the hell out of Links Awakening on my GameBoy countless times. After that would be FF8, and Castlevania SOTN.
  15. Systems, controllers, game cartridges, and even a TV.
  16. Final Fantasy 8. It wrapped up so great. Everyone was still together afterwards and their love for each other were stronger than diamond.
  17. I heard a lot of stories about people in WoW building characters up to like a level 85, then selling them online. That kind of thing makes the game completely pointless. I didn’t buy Zelda hoping that someone had beaten the game already and left a completed file on there.
  18. I typically just avoid games that I know will piss me off. For example, I have all 3 DKC on SNES. I have actually beaten the first two, but they piss me off so much, I have never attempted even playing the third one. The only reason why I even have it was just to complete the set. If it’s a game I’m unfamiliar with, but is my favorite genre, then I stick to my motto. I’ve always said I’ll try anything twice. I say twice instead of once because just because I didn’t enjoy the circumstances of the first time doesn’t mean I won’t enjoy the second. If I still don’t enjoy the second then I know the first wasn’t a fluke, and that I gave it a fair shot. But if I didn’t enjoy the first, but did enjoy the second, then it warrants a third shot and possibly more. For example, just because you hate McDonalds doesn’t mean you hate cheeseburgers.
  19. It's an interesting design. I noticed the Roman numeral V instantly.
  20. I would probably have to say when I bought Reckoning Kingdom Of Amalur. For some reason that I can’t figure out, I could never remember that I had it and ended up with 4 copies of it at once, because I kept buying the damn thing.
  21. There’s nothing wrong with that. Retro game graphics have a special allure. And, if you think about it, Skyrim doesn’t particularly look like the original Zelda.
  22. I loved Zelda 2 from launch. The difficulty pissed me off constantly, but it was also what kept me coming back to the game. The determination to beat it kept me playing until I finally kicked Shadow Links ass. That was the greatest, and only feeling of accomplishment I ever had in my entire childhood.
  23. That's it? 1 dog? I have 4 dogs, 3 rats, 2 birds, and a hedgehog.
