  1. I’m not a fan of Xbox, so that leaves me with PlayStation and Nintendo. I’m fine with that since I’m a big fan of both systems. Depending on the game availability can determine what I play it on. For example RDR2 isn’t on Switch. But it is on PlayStation. There are system exclusive’s. There are system features that make it a preference for me. So the game and what systems it’s on determine it for me.

With my dislike for Xbox doesn’t mean I won’t play on it. There’s a couple Xbox exclusive’s that I enjoy the hell out of. So the game in question determines what system I boot up.

  2. Getting back to topic, Nintendo can charge these prices due to brand loyalty. There are loyalists for every gaming platform, and they’re not willing to give other platforms a chance. Nintendo has the biggest amount of loyalists simply because it has been around so much longer. Those of us who grew up on Nintendo, tend to (at the very least) prefer Nintendo. I started out gaming on Atari 2600 and Colecovision. When the NES hit the market in 1985, I desperately wanted one. Ever since then I’ve mainly been a fan. Especially for some of their exclusive’s like the Zelda franchise. All that said, they can jack up the prices however high they want, and people will pay it. It’s a sad fact of corporate greed. They know they can get away with gouging consumers, so they see no reason not to.

  3. We got the Series X today. @Rain Dew has been wanting one like crazy, and we found a preowned one at GameStop. Iy was a hell of a deal too. The only issue I really have with it is the weight. THAT DAMN THING WEIGHS A FREAKING TON! I’ve never seen a console weigh so much. I thought the PS5 was heavy, but it’s nothing compared to the X. It looks like a concrete block and weighs about the same.

make sure you buy it from a reputable source and not off Ebay or Amazon because there's lots of counterfeit products on those sites nowadays.

Unfortunately this is very true. So many are false, despite having the name brand and design on the face of the card, that you won't get what you think you're buying. Go to either a reputable electronics store like Best Buy, or Walmart to buy them. You will have to spend more money than getting them off eBay or Amazon, but you can rest assured that you will get the real product and not a fake one.

  5. Somewhere around here I still have my iPhone 5. I don't honestly know where. When I got my first real cell phone, it was one of those slider phones that had a full keyboard under the main phone face. I specifically wanted that one because I thought it would make texting easier. That wasn't the case. By "real cell phone" that means that my first one was a TracFone. Or "burner cell" as they're typically called now.

  6. Am I the only one here who remembers a time when the internet didn't exist? When I was growing up, there was no internet. Computers were restricted to government agencies, unless you were incredibly wealthy. Computers had tubes, just like their monitors. In the early days, 16k memory was a tower the size of a grown man. For those too young to remember, 16k was the average size of any random image back then. So as a kid, I was playing outside. I was running around and playing with no form of technology aside from my cassette tapes and vinyl records.

The internet is younger than most people think. I was in my mid teens before it came into being. I'm much older than the internet, and to be honest, I miss the days when technology didn't rule our lives.

  7. I was born in 1982 and grew up listening to bands like Poison, Whitelion, Cinderella, Mötley Crüe, Faster Pussycat, Ratt, and Bon Jovi just to name a few. After listening to music that attained perfection in 1986 (scientific fact😉) having to listen to the shit puked up in the 90's was murder on the ears. I stopped listening to the radio in the early 90's and stuck to my tapes and mix tapes that I had put together.

    There's no excuse for failure???

Every experience in life is a learning opportunity. We learn more from our failures than we do from our successes. So failure (while disappointing) should be  accepted and used for self improvement.

Does that make sense and do you agree?

And I will actually sue if I continue to go to VIDEO GAME message boards and keep getting threatened by mods. Consider your punk ass warned with a discrimination lawsuit.

This is something that needs to be pointed out specifically.

VGR is a private company. It is NOT a public corporation. Being here at this forum is a PRIVILEGE. IT IS IN NO WAY A RIGHT. You cannot sue if you get banned from a PRIVATE forum. If you knew anything about law, you would know that. Adolf wasn't able to sue when he was banned from Twitter, and you would be laughed out of court if you try to sue when you inevitably get banned here.

And if you have your own video game forum, then what the hell are you doing here? Oh I know. No one is willing to put up with your bullshit and snowflake tyranny, so there is no one there. As for owning your own business, you yourself tried to use donut shops in another thread as the height of professions, so I'm more than willing to bet that you work at one. Also you went too hard at your laughable "achievements" in gaming. If you had said you held, oh I don't know, less than 30 gaming titles instead of 57, your pathetic rant may have had a chance at being seen as something more than a snowflake rant when he doesn't get his way. Your fellow Klan members proved what they will do when they don't get their way on January 6th. They commit domestic terrorism.

While we're at it, PROVE IT. You make all these bullshit claims, so put your money where your mouth is. Give us links to unbiased reports. Give us the link to your game forum. If you can't do anything but kiss your own ass, you're not going to be anything but a joke for the rest of your life, just like you are now.

  10. As for a favorite place, mine is a toss up. My 3 favorites (in no particular order) are Subway, Popeye's, and Long John Silvers. LJS is definitely the least healthy one due to all the grease and batter. Subway can actually be really healthy, depending on what you get. Popeye's is just plain awesome.

Another I LOVE is Waffle House. I don't know if they really count as fast food, but their breakfast is second place to home made. For restaurants, they can't be beat.

As for would I do it every day if it was healthy, the answer is a solid no. I don't want to eat the same damn thing day in, day out. I like a little variety.

Either way though, nothing beats home cooked.

  11. I can't stand Coke anything. It's like drinking raw sewage. It literally makes me sick.

As for preferring diet, it wasn't always the case for me. A few years ago, my doctor told me that I was in the pre-diabetes stage. Diabetes is one thing I've been terrified of getting all my life. So when I was told that, I cut out as much sugar as I could. I quit eating candy, quit eating cobbler (which was harder than hell to do), and switched from regular to diet soda. I never liked diet because it always had a weird after taste to me. But now that I've been drinking diet for several years, I actually can't stand the taste of regular cola. It's diet or nothing for me, regardless of what the soda is. Dr Pepper, Mtn Dew, Pepsi, etc. One that I wish I could still get around here is diet Faygo. Faygo is awesome soda, and so much cheaper for so much more.

  12. They have aged well. They show us our beginnings as gamers, and how far we have come since then. The Atari 2600 was a 2 bit system, and had several failures during its lifetime. Most notably the ET game. But while the hardware may be wearing out, and the console looks dated, the games still have a massive community of Atari gamers. I'm one of them myself. But aside from RDR2 and a small handful of others, I'm strictly a classic gamer. Which means I play Atari a lot.

A cop knocks on the door of a house. A 10 year old boy answers wearing fishnet stockings ,high heel boots and  has a dog collar on. The cop asks him if his mother is home and the kid says 'does it fucking look like it'?

Love it. Love everything about it.

  14. You can check out GameGenie.com. They cover just about every game console from the PS3/Xbox 360 era and back. You can get both Game Genie codes, and just plain old cheats for the games. I assume they would all be active still. But also remember that whatever weapon you get when you defeat a boss can be used to purely decimate another boss.

  15. I have been thinking about this for a while, and the curiosity finally got to me enough that I have to ask. Does anyone have any kind of coincidence that mirrors a game? For example here where I live it's heavily redneck. But that's not the thing. There's the towns of Blackwater, Valentine, and Rhodes very close to where I live. Now, I know Rockstar didn't look at where I live for inspiration for RDR2. But It's an eerie and interesting coincidence. There's St Louis, but no St Denis as far as I know. I find it really weird that one of my all time favorite games would have something so close to real life for me in it.

Has anyone else experienced something like this? And I'm not wanting to know about games that are intentionally made to mirror your area. Fictional games are what I'm wanting to hear about. It can have elements of real life, but not entirely real life.

  16. It's been a long time since I've played it, but you could try Zelda: Twilight Princess. I would recommend other Zelda titles, but you said you didn't want anything too cartooney. I would recommend RDR2, but that has pretty much all the things you said you didn't want. Sorry I'm not much help, but since no one else had pointed it out, I decided to mention Zelda.

First of all, I don't see much changes between iPhone 12 and the new iPhone 14 (probably because I haven't used the new one). However,  I agree that it is a fair price for anyone swapping the iPhone 12 for the iPhone 14.

One of the main reasons I'm getting the 14 is because I need a physically bigger phone due to how big my hands are. The 12 Pro is a nice phone, no doubt. But due to the size of my hands, it's just not practical. And I decided that If I'm going to trade in for a Pro Max, I may as well go for the 14.
