  1. I was talking to a Gamestop employee yesterday, and he said that they get the Series X in on occasion, but usually get around 2 of them. The Series S is readily in supply virtually everywhere. The Series X, for whatever reason, is not. Why, I don't know, unless the X takes different components than the S. Excluding disc drives, for the sake of conversation. Maybe it's the design. I hate it personally. A damn concrete block is not something I find attractive. At least the S has a decent design.
  2. This sounds suspiciously like Zelda: A Link To The Past on SNES. Can you give me some examples how it's different, and a solid reason to get off my ass, dig out a 3DS, and play it? Assuming I have it. I'm a huge fan of the Zelda franchise, but I'm not some fan chick who has to say that they're all great. There have been a few that I hated, but for the most part I have loved them all. Especially the original. Best in the entire franchise if you ask me.
  3. I'm a hell of a lot more aggressive than you are. I get violent. If you want to talk shit, you should at least have the decency to do it out of earshot. If you do it around the person, you open yourself up to getting hurt.
  4. Also, dimming the sun would make winters more ferocious. It would kill millions in each country because humans are simply not equipped to deal with such winters. The entire world would be facing Antarctic conditions. Millions of animals would go extinct due to not being able to survive outdoors. It would kill off millions of species of flora as well. Doing such would simply be giving the planet a rocket booster aimed at extinction. As for North Korea, they will shoot it down if they feel like it, illegal or not. They're not a part of any international treaties, so they have little to nothing to fear that would stop them. Kimmy's arrogance and narcissism would dictate whether he would destroy a satellite. If he did get caught he would just make up some lie, like saying that it was spying on them. Even the DirecTV satellite would be fair game and it's in orbit permanently above Texas. It doesn't circle the globe, it stays put. I know that because I used to have a job installing satellite TV for them. Weather satellites would be fair game too.
  5. Ave As @Shagger said, if you have any questions, all you have to do is ask a staff member. You sound like you have a good situation at home. Making sure you have family friendly games due tot he age of your child, is a good course of action. If you want something more adult oriented, you could buy a cartridge and just keep it where you child won't find it. That is unless your interests stick mainly to, as you put it, "kiddie games". The forum is well educated on the gaming industry, so you should be able to find answers to most everything. Everyone here has their specialty. Personally speaking, I'm viewed as our classic gaming expert. So if you want anything from Atari 2600 era to PS5 era, there is someone who can answer your questions. Ave
  6. One of the four siblings of the Titan Pallas and the eldest Oceanid, Styx, Kratos was, for the Ancient Greeks, a personification of brute Strength or Power. His brother and both of his sisters were embodiment's of similar traits. Zelus represented Zeal, Aspiration, Emulation, and Glory; Nike was the personification of Victory; and Bia of Might and Force. Hesiod describes them as “wonderful children” and recounts how they earned their status and reputation. Namely, when Zeus was preparing for the Titanomachy, he tried to assemble as many allies as possible, by promising whoever fights with him a divine office and appropriate rights. At the advice of her father Oceanus, Styx was the first one to join his forces, bringing with herself her four children. Zeus repaid her by declaring that, from then on, all gods will swear their oaths by her sacred waters and that Styx’ four children will live with him forevermore. Consequently, Kratos and his siblings have no dwelling place but Zeus himself, i.e., they are aspects of his personality and authority. There's a hell of a lot of debate there. Some say that each pantheon has completely different Gods. Others say the Gods are the same, but revealed themselves differently in each culture. The only thing I know for a fact about that, is that the Romans adopted the Greek Gods, and simply renamed them. The Gods may protect you, they may not. You have better chance of being in their favor if you swear fealty to one specific God. That God will probably show favor to you. I'm not sure entirely sure what you mean by "defense" in this situation. But I'm going to take a shot and say that atheism is a good attempt at it. They will neither favor you nor dismiss you. They most likely won't even notice you, and therefore not make Themselves part of your life. But this is all speculation, as if you don't believe in Them, They would obviously have no effect on your life.
  7. Your uncle needed to be tied up and beaten with a baseball bat.
  8. Myself, I am both Hellenistic and Satanic. But for this discussion, I'm going to focus on the Hellenistic part. God Of War is the only one that actually features and of the ancient Gods. That said, it also does a piss poor portrayal of Them. It twists around who They are, and what They are. The name of the game refers to Ares specifically, yet He has little appearance in the first one, and virtually no appearances in any of the others.
  9. Considering the difference in graphic quality, and the fact that I haven't played RDR1 anywhere near as much as I have RDR2, I can't come up with a valid comparison. It's like comparing Zelda Twilight Princess to Zelda II: The Adventure Of Link.
  10. With the exception of the bulldog, our dogs are all very well behaved. Typically, Bella (the bulldog) is well behaved too. But when she starts chewing on something that is NOT a dog toy, she gets a scolding. A firm one, but not an angry one.
  11. I once again have to give my vote to RDR2. The amount of detail, and accuracy of plants in the game is stunning. They got pretty much everything right.
  12. I would give my vote to Castlevania SOTN. I learned a hell of a lot about swords from playing the game. Sure, a lot of them are purely fictional, and only thought up for the game. But I did learn a lot there.
  13. Our bulldog decided the previous one was a chew toy. She also destroyed several of our cartridges as well. The games we lost were Dead By Daylight, Mario Odyssey, Paper Mario Origami King, Skyrim, and South Park The Fractured But Whole. I didn't like South Park, so I'm not missing that one. But the others have me a bit pissed off. That's a lot of money to replace them. @Rain Dew enjoyed a couple of them as well, so we need to get the cartridges instead of DDL, so that we can both play it. If it was different, I would just buy them as DDL's but she wanted them too. I already have 123 DDL's. I would prefer to have a few physical copies of some games. In total we had 23 carts, but now we're down to 18.
  14. Try his, or @Yaramaki instead of "IT".
  15. RDR2. Javier sings all the time in camp. Arthur sings a decent amount when he's out on his horse. Here's a video I recorded from the game. I'm not the best with Spanish, so I posted it in the hopes someone could eventually tell me what the hell he's singing.
  16. I uninstall games if I lose all interest in them. I have probably done that with 30 or more games on my iPhone. I have tons of games on it, but the majority just hold no interest for me anymore. I do keep some of them around though, if I decide I want to play something different.
  17. I have to go with YouTube. I've never used Twitch before, but I know my way around YouTube, and how to get things done there. So I'm just sticking with what I know.
  18. I've been playing and replaying it for a couple years now.
  19. I finally got a new Switch a couple days ago. It took about a day and a half to get all my digital games redowloaded onto the new one. But it's up and running, and I'm enjoying it. I got another Switch Lite, if anyone is curious about it. It's the blue one.
  20. Don't count your chickens before they hatch. Not everyone here has voted, and there's still 2 days left. While @Yaramaki has a strong lead right now, anything can happen in 2 days time.
  21. I have the whole Double Dragon trilogy on NES. They still hold up today and are as fun as ever. I feel like they were a precursor to fighting games today. Hell they may have even been the inspiration for the style play of the TMNT games (TMNT2: The Arcade Game, TMNT3: The Manhattan Project, etc.) which offered a 2 player mode. But as a series, the Double Dragon games are always good for a play. Something I did always wonder as a kid was why the hell were they wearing boxing gloves. Ah, 1988 graphics. Clearer and more crisp than movies today could ever hope for.
  22. I've read a few articles that say Sony is planning to end the PS4 by 2025, in an attempt to put all their focus on the PS5. They are apparently slowing games production for the PS4 considerably already. But their plan is to move past the PS4, and go full-steam-ahead with the PS5. While I see this as a logical step from a business perspective, I don't think it will work out the way they want. The PS5 was released 2 years ago, and is still incredibly hard to find. The PS4 didn't suffer the same release issues. I know Covid is a factor here, so I'm forgiving them for that. But the world will still be reeling from the "aftershock" at best by 2025. The retailers are having an almost impossible time getting it. The only current gen system that is widely available is the Xbox Series S. The Series X is in the same boat as the PS5. So like I said, logical from a business perspective, but not a good idea just yet. Until production for the new system is able to go full-steam-ahead again, I don't think plans to discontinue one of their most successful consoles is the way to go. Granted we're talking about the games themselves here, but considering the context of things, they're essentially ending the PS4 all together if they stop releasing games for it. Here is one of the articles I read.
  23. I have the files that matter to me backed up on a few SD/microSD cards.
