  1. They did remaster it for 3DS. The graphics were pretty slick.
  2. Also they're almost too big to fail. Millions of employees worldwide. There's no way Nintendo could go under, unless a solar flare hits the earth. The whole electrical grid will then be fried, and we'll be back to a time before people had anything electric. You better learn to ride a horse if that happens.
  3. I remember seeing it on the shelves during the N64 era, but I didn't really grasp what it was, so I didn't bother picking it up. I had Conker, so I already had a game similar to SSB. I've played a little bit of virtually everything, true enough. But some games just never made it into my compendium of games played, for one reason or another.
  4. I collect Zippos (currently have more than 70) and I'm a classic gamer with a pretty big library.
  5. I know that you can subscribe to Nintendo online and play the Zelda games from earlier systems, but forget that for a moment. What Zelda games would you like to see ported as either a cart or DDL for the Switch? Personally nostalgia is a huge factor for me, but there are several I would like to see. The Legend Of Zelda Zelda II Zelda A Link To The Past Zelda OoT Zelda Majoras Mask Zelda Twilight Princess Those top my list. The first 5 of them are games that I have just always loved. Twilight Princess is one that I would like to see because the controls for it on Wii were just completely fucked up. I hated the entire Wii setup. And at the height of the Wii's lifespan, finding one of the regular controllers was damn near impossible because no one wanted them, so in turn no one sold them. So if it can be ported wo something with a decent controller I would love to see that.
  6. I tend to worry about my horse's health more than my own in RDR2. I do go hunting a bit to get myself some meat to cook. 5 gators nets me 25 pieces of meat to cook, which is a good start to get Arthur back up to a healthy weight. He is the hardest damn character I've ever seen to keep his weight up. He is always underweight.
  7. Money isn't all that necessary unless you're trying to make a career out of YouTube. If you're just doing it for fun, like @Rain Dew and me, then money isn't any kind of concern.
  8. When I buy a controller it comes from the company that put out the system. I don't buy knockoffs. I've never had the slightest bit of luck with them. They don't last and don't even work half the time. So it's either a Nintendo, Sony PlayStation, or Microsoft Xbox manufactured controller, or none. I just don't trust knockoffs anymore.
  9. I have somewhere around 50 rats. If I can find the vast majority of them good and happy homes, I would love to. The problem is that I would have to know the people to make sure they aren't going to be murdered as snake food. I know "murdered" isn't the right word in your eyes, but it is in mine. And you all know why.
  10. So far, LIS (the first one) is living up to the hype. It's a great game, no doubt. I'm enjoying the hell out of it. But (maybe I'm a glutton for punishment) I have to try out BTS. I'll tell you right now that I'm a masochist, but you guys warning me against it has made me too curious not to try it out. Your comments have not fallen on deaf ears. But -
  11. As far as collectibles go, I have the set pictured below, and a couple Master Swords. I'm not sure where the swords are at the moment. It's 9:00AM and I've been up since 5:00AM, so my brain isn't exactly on yet. Need more coffee. but that aside, I think the swords are in the bedroom. I can't really go check because @Rain Dew is still sleeping. If I go in there and turn the light on, shell use the swords on me, assuming they're in there. That or she'll come at me with my cast iron skillet. She'd catch me too, because she's fast and I'm stuck in a slow ass chair. So for self preservation you're just going to have to wait on the swords. I also had the weird ass SNES controller shown below at one time, but lost it several years ago. I wouldn't mind getting my hands on another one, just for nostalgia sake. Also if you're wondering about Zelda BS, it's Zelda Broadcast Satellaview, not Zelda bullshit.
  12. They never tried to hide it, so a cease and desist letter would do nothing. They obviously didn't care if we found out or not. I saw something like this years ago, but it went all the way. This person copied every aspect of the site. I knew the webmaster, and she had enlisted my help to get her site up and running. Even the testimonials that named the webmaster by name, were altered to seem like it was about the kid that plagiarized the site. That ended up in an actual lawsuit because there were things one there that were copyrighted not to mention that the entire sight was under copyright. I wasn't told how everything turned out except that the woman I was working with won.
  13. This place is addictive. Trust me, you're gonna post more than you realize. @killamch89 is just shy of 20k posts and he joined a month after I did. Whereas I'm just shy of 8k posts. So you're going to lose track easily. A lot of us post here after we reach a certain number of posts. Even @DC has done that. So any kind of milestone you want to post doesn't have to be forum related. If I remember right, I posted when I bought my dream car, as that was a personal milestone for me. I had dreamed about that car for 35 years, and last October I was finally able to make that a reality. So post whatever kind of milestone you're comfortable telling the forum about. If you're not sure if it would violate the rules, you can always refresh yourself.
  14. One of my rats had another litter that we didn't know about. 😱 So we have a bunch of babies. We thought we had all the males and females separated to keep them from this. When I checked all of them, I found that a couple of males testicles hadn't fully dropped. That was why I missed them and thought they were female.
  15. Men's hand/eye coordination has nothing to do with gaming. It comes from all those years reading Playboy.
  16. I've never once in my life played SSB, but considering that (from what I gather) it's a Nintendo exclusive, I would probably be pretty partial to Link. At least until I found a fighter that I really gel with. Link is an optional character, right? I'm shooting blind here since I know jack shit about the game, so whatever I'm getting wrong, someone please correct me.
  17. I think having a portable system is a big advantage, especially when several of the biggest games out right now are also on it. Skyrim and Witcher 3 to name just two. Unless I'm mistaken there's no GTA titles on Switch, but that's a Nintendo vs Rockstar thing. Especially since Nintendo is a "family company", and Rockstar makes adult games. Family my ass.
  18. I honestly didn't know that. I wasn't around in 1973, and thought Nokia had been the first. We didn't hear much about Motorola in the 80's. And by the 90's Nokia was king. Especially with this monstrosity. The changeable faceplates were nothing different than phone cases are today. This was my first phone, but it was a TracFone. It was all I could afford at the time.
  19. Technically he wasn't republiKKKlan or Democrat, as parties weren't really a thing yet at that time. He had his stance on things, the Confederacy had theirs. It led to the civil war. The stance of the Confederacy was fucked up and wrong as hell, which is one of the reasons they lost. Not to mention that there were naval blockades denying them supplies from other nations. Parties weren't in full swing until after Lincoln's assassination. No one was left wing or right wing as neither existed. Some favored one term over another. Democracy or republic. Those two words in turn led to the names of the two main parties we have today. But like I said, during Lincoln's time there were no actual parties. After the assassination, some followed one path modeling them after Lincoln's policies, some followed another path introducing other policies. Neither was right, nor were they wrong at the time. In the post war era and the reconstruction, things were almost as volatile as they are now.
  20. @Head_Hunter Some things get me emotional. I took offense to your comments because it seemed like you were talking down to me simply because I'm a woman. As if you see us as crybabies and not much more.
  21. I would say another part of it was just bad timing. As the pandemic hit, people weren't worried about gaming as much as normal, as they were hoarding things like toilet paper and food. And this affected every industry in the world. Sony had a lot of workers that couldn't come in, thus their production was slowed down. Add into it the fact that the pandemic also slowed down the production of microchips that were needed to make the PS5, that slowed them down even more. So for every 10,000 that wants a PS5, only one will get one. And that's not changing any time soon, unless they go through a scalper, or pay some extortionate price from places like Walmart online.
  22. It all seems to be some kind of "publicity stunt" to attempt to drive users to the forum. And a pretty pathetic one at that. On the other hand, it could be taken as a compliment that out of all the gaming forums on the internet, they chose VGR's forum to copy. Whatever their intention, going to court over it would be nothing more than a waste of time and resources. @DC has a hell of a lot more important things to worry about than some jackass copying posts from his forum to try to make theirs look popular.
