  1. I've had a pretty fucked up situation like that as well with dreams. One in particular. This started when I was 14. It happens on June 20th every single year. The dream starts out with me looking down a street that turns to my right. Judging by the clothing and building design, it looks like everything is somewhere around the 1700's. After a few seconds, I see a young boy come running around the corner. Through the rest of the dream I'm looking through his eyes. I look over my shoulder and 3 men on horseback in red coats come riding up after me. I start running harder and duck into a cemetery and hide behind one of the tombstones. I'm sitting there catching my breath and listening to them call back and forth to each other trying to find me. Then one rides up and sees me. He yells to his friends that he found me. He dismounts his horse, steps in front of me, draws his pistol, cocks it... And then I wake up. I've tried staying up to avoid the dream, but at 2:30AM I go unconscious and fall asleep for exactly 1 hour. I can't avoid the dream no matter how much I try. I hate it. It always freaks me out. I've tried a million different things to make me stop having the dream but nothing works. Absolutely everything I can think of to stay awake, and none of it helps. I could be standing up drinking coffee with a bunch of No Doze in it, and as soon as it turned 2:30, I would collapse where I stood and have the dream. I know because I tried. So I've given up trying to find ways to avoid it, and decided to just suffer through it every year. It's the only time of the year that I dream.
  2. Oh god, I hate Wind Waker. Not due to the game play, but the graphics. It was so entirely cartooney that it just made me sick. I couldn't even bring myself to play it for more than 10 minutes it was so sickening. If they completely redo the entire game and completely redo the entire graphics scheme, I would definitely be willing to play it. But as it is now, there's no fucking way.
  3. I wasn't sure. I hadn't seen any Rockstar games available on any Nintendo consoles for a long time. Since the N64 actually. So I just assumed they cut ties. They were pissed as hell when SquareEnix released Final Fantasy on PlayStation instead of giving it to Nintendo. Sure later on they got ports of some of those FF games, but they're still butt hurt as hell. But with Rockstar, I just made a general assumption.
  4. To add to what @Shagger said, we have had people sign up and post the same thought on every thread they replied to, and even start their own topics to push that thought. No matter what was said, they would only post that one thought, or would incorporate it into all of their posts somehow. They would make multiple threads pushing it, and never reply to that thread again. Doing such actions not only gets on the nerves of the staff, but pisses off the rest of the forum as well. If you have a thought, feel free to post it. If you have a controversial thought, feel free to post it as well. But ask yourself "Am I ready for any backlash this post may get?" If the answer is "no" or "I don't know" then I would recommend waiting to post it until you feel ready for it. As said, we understand that English is not the first language of many members. We truly do. But it's that first language of the majority of the members. So as said, take your time making posts so that the whole forum can understand what your point is. It's not a race to get it done. Before I post I always take the time to read through what I have written to check for typos and make sure what I'm wanting to say comes through clearly. Sure I miss several, but there's always the edit feature. The staff can edit at any time, but the members have a 10 minute window. If that has lapsed, you can always ask us if it's something big. But if it's just a small typo, we're not going to bother with that. For example if you meant to type colour instead of color we're not going to take the time to edit the post, as we have bigger fish to fry. Either way, the staff has a job to try to keep things running smoothly. It's not always easy, and it's not always pleasant. But sometimes certain actions have to be taken, and occasionally, it's a "last resort" situation. But be assured, we don't do things of any kind of serious nature without lengthy discussion about it first. So use your head, post your opinions, and offer facts when you can. Remember, quality is infinitely more important than quantity.
  5. @Rain Dew has her own FC and houses, so I'm joining up with her once I know what the hell I'm doing. If you're on the same server and world that we're on, that would be awesome to play together. I would have to ask her what world we're in to be sure, but I think we're Crystal and Goblin. But don't hold me to that just yet. She's the educated one about this game.
  6. That's why Nintendo cut all ties with Rockstar, unless one of their racing games is available on Switch. But with GTA and RDR2 being Rockstar games, I would bet that they don't want any connection whatsoever. Even with the massive success of the DKC franchise on the SNES. Not to mention Conker's Bad Fur Day on the N64. But from what I understand, Nintendo is somewhat ashamed that they let CBFD get released for one of their systems.
  7. I recently got into playing Sudoku. It got easy quick to the point that now I play it on expert level. And I've only been playing it a couple weeks. My best time this week 8 minutes 14 seconds. I had one previously that was 2 minutes and some seconds. But that one was so easy I just blew through it. Unfortunately the app I have only keeps track of your times for one week. I actually got to enjoying it so much, that I paid to block the ads. $15 per year. More than worth it to me.
  8. I've heard that one since I was a kid. It's always been creepy as hell, and one of my favorites. But here's a few true ones that happened to me personally. I've had 3 things happen to me that I can't figure out to this day. Also every year I have the same dream on the same day. I moved into a small farmhouse several years ago. The owners had a small antique refrigerator in the basement. I was down there with the landlord one day, and set my glasses down on top of the fridge. I had some of those clip on sunglasses on my glasses. You know the ones that usually break 20 minutes after buying them. This is relevant later. They were all I could afford. Well I went to do something and forgot to put them back on. I went back to the fridge for my glasses and they had vanished. The landlord hadn't taken them. Actually he said he hadn't even seen them. And I believed him because he hadn't been anywhere near that fridge the whole time we were down there. We both searched the entire basement for them and never found anything. They were just gone from existence. I was pissed because it meant I had to pay for a new pair of glasses. Fast forward about 3 years. I was in the basement doing laundry and walked by that fridge. Sitting on top of it were the clip on sunglasses. My glasses weren't there but the sunglasses were. I never went into that basement again and started going to a laundromat. I was in bed trying to sleep one night. @Rain Dew was beside me already asleep. We would always go to sleep with the TV playing because it distracts our mind and keeps it from running which keeps us awake. Well, I was laying there watching TV, and something I couldn't see started wrapping what felt like hands around my throat strangling me. I couldn't breathe, or make a sound. Nothing could come out. I started thrashing around in bed trying to fight off whatever the hell it was that had me. My thrashing woke @Rain Dew up and she went into panic mode. She didn't know what to do so she jumped up and ran for the light switch. Just before she got to the switch the thing let go of my throat and raked what felt like razor blades across my chest from just below my left collar bone to the bottom of my ribs on my right side. When we looked, there were hand marks all the way around my neck and I was bleeding from the claw marks. To this day the scars still burn, and I'm scared to go to sleep a lot of the time. You all know I'm in a wheelchair now. I have advanced muscular dystrophy if you're wondering why. I usually bring a 2 liter bottle of soda with me into my home office so I don't have to go back and forth between it and the kitchen. One day I had just come into my office and realized I had forgotten something. I set the bottle, that I hadn't even opened on my desk and went back to the kitchen. When I came back to the computer room, the bottle was sitting in the middle of the floor, completely empty. I just stared at it for a moment, not sure what to do. I left the room and grabbed an anxiety pill and gun. I went back to the office, and the bottle was now sitting on my desk, full, and unopened. I have no explanation for any of these. But I do feel a cold breath on the back of my neck pretty much nonstop when I'm in my home office. So maybe something is screwing with me.
  9. That's a sad fact, but one that we can't ignore. It was Nintendo after all that saved gaming after the video gaming crash in 1983. If it wasn't for them and the NES, we wouldn't be talking right now, as there would be no market.
  10. I wasn't a fan of the DS series as a whole. It just never appealed to me. I always preferred some form of Game Boy.
  11. Yeah but any room is a panic room if you've lost your phone in it.
  12. When I was a kid (and still able) I absolutely loved hiking. I would disappear into the woods for a month or so every summer and just live off the land. If I was able I would be out hiking every day still. But, alas, I'm no longer able.
  13. There are paid contributors for the articles. There's an about VGR link that shows you who the contributors are. As for the pics, I can't say if that's actually them or a stock photo. A lot of people use stock photos because they don't want their face online if they can avoid it. Granted, all of our faces are online somewhere (almost everyone has Instagram, Twitter, and/or Facebook but that's somewhat irrelevant as not everyone does), but a lot of people are super serious about their privacy. So I'm sure a couple staff members have used a stock photo, or one of a friend to maintain as much privacy as possible. Me personally, I have a throwaway FB account, simply because EVERY-FUCKING-THING is on Facebook and no one uses a simple damn website anymore. The only social media I actually use would be YouTube. That is if YouTube is social media. I don't know if it counts or not.
  14. Rats are not toys, nor are they games. They save lives.
  15. If I start talking about it, I'll have a panic attack. Besides, I've already said.
  16. @killamch89 posts his ass off. He is one of the most active members we have. He's here almost every day, and always chips in. I for one have gotten to enjoy reading his posts, as he always has something of real quality to contribute.
  17. The ones you're referring to are consoles like the Atari 2600 and NES that are still sealed, CIB, and in literally perfect condition. No dings, no scuffs, no tears in either the box or the plastic wrap. As pristine as it was when it shipped out from the factory. Like I said I have an NES that is CIB including all the manuals and the styrofoam. But the box is rough as hell. I could get its retail price or maybe a little more for it now. Somewhere in the $150-$200 range. You have to be an EXTREMELY wealthy collector for the perfect ones. We're talking the high millions to billions in your bank account if you want these pristine collectables. I absolutely agree. I buy and play what I like. That's what I think everyone should be doing. Don't worry about what someone else has. Whether you have 3 games and they have 3,000 games is nothing important, and should never matter. As long as you enjoy those 3, then you're probably ahead of the one with the thousands. Typically because they most likely have a lot that just collect dust because they just don't get to them and/or lost interest in them. It's usually due to burnout from beating it several times. And I'm no exception. I have several classics that I absolutely love, but haven't played in years because I beat them too often and completely burned out on them.
  18. When it comes to bed, dogs are plain old greedy. But personally, I wouldn't want it any other way.
  19. It cost $600. Considering retail is $500 (disc edition) and that we got 3 games with it, we actually saved money. PS5 games are still all around $60+ each on average (here anyway), so to buy just the 3 games we would have spent close to $200 on games alone. So we found the deal of a lifetime.
  20. I already said how I got it.
  21. Something that was unbelievable happened. I never could have thought such a thing was possible, and neither did @Rain Dew. She got me into online gaming. I’m playing FFXIV. She’s training me so that I know what the hell I’m doing, but once I have the game down, we’ll be on there a lot.
  22. We got a PS5 today. I bought it as a gift for @Rain Dew. Someone was selling one on Craigslist. The guy said he got it thinking he would play on it, but his heart was in PC gaming. So I pawned one of my guns, and we went and got it. It’s a disc capable version. Obviously. But we finally got one. So we’re caught up with the new gen of games. We just want an Xbox Series X instead of the Series S that we have. The guy included some games since he wasn’t going to need them. Spiderman Miles Morales, Nioh, and Nioh 2. We’re looking forward to playing this thing.
  23. I can recommend a few channels. Mr Nightmare Lazy Masquerade Corpse Husband Chilling Scares MrBallen And if you like people with no inflection and a monotone annoying voice, check out Top15's or look for Chills. It's the same person, and while his videos are intersting, he really needs to hire a narrator. I'll post one real quick so you can see what I'm getting at.
  24. The problem with that second video is that if you look at it, the letters on his jacket are backwards. Someone has some pretty shitty video editing skills if they can't even get that one right.
  25. I used to have a 1981 Honda that I absolutely loved. The carbs went bad in it though, and then @Rain Dew's parents decided it was theirs to dispose of and gave it away to one of their friends, like they have done with so much of my other stuff (including 2 trucks). Don't ask about the law. Her father is a lawyer. So I'm 9 ways of fucked. They also destroyed my birth certificate, social security card, and the title to my motorcycle. And that was just the minor shit.
