Honestly, I haven't checked it out and didn't even know a new exorcist came out or maybe I did hear about it and just didn't care.
I totally agree - they keep releasing sequels of old series because a lot of the more modern movie series are absolute garbage with unoriginal plots and horrible acting.

Sony isn't quite as extreme as Nintendo - at least most times they aren't. As long as you're not selling it, they probably won't care unlike Nintendo who would be suing the hell out of you for doing the same.

Was playing some Palworld with my friends today. It's slightly addictive. I can't lie.

I did play quite a lot of MK 11 back in 2020 as DMC 5 and Doom Eternal.

Anyone here remember playing Driver 2? I remember it mostly for allowing you to exit and enter vehicles. The original game didn't have such a feature and forced you to use the same car until it was damaged. But Driver 2 allowed you to continue your mission as long as you found a suitable replacement car in time
I was huge on the driver games, especially the first one, but I enjoyed the second one even more. Hell I still have a memory card with the save file for it probably. Been thinking about booting up my PS2 to see if the file is still there. The funny thing about my save file, is that I'm pretty sure it's like the last mission of the game, but I could never get through it. I just remember you have to chase this helicopter, and I'm pretty sure there is a stingy time limit too, because Driver had to have those time limits for pretty much every mission.
But idk, it still has a fond place in my heart, maybe it's because of nostalgia, but I did enjoy the game growing up. It was far better than Driver 3, that's for sure.
Here's the first mission of the game. It has not aged super well, but it's still impressive to me how good the destruction was, as well as the driving mechanics.
Did anyone here ever beat it?

It reached number-one over the weekend. People sucked you know what in hell for it, no doubt. Which is why so many movies are overrated, and I knew it would claim the top spot, because these people like the popularity of the originals too much not to, and I think box office placings are mostly predetermined so they are bound to be successful if they aren't competing or duking it out with anything else that's popular (in the same week). But this recycling of old franchises ain't helping to bring in new ideas. 🤔

Not much of a surprise really. Baldur's Gate more or less swept almost every category it got nominated for.

I swear that game developers/publishers do so many stupid things in the videogame industry and agreeing to stupid licenses is one of them.

killamch89 reacted to Heatman in Do you create yourself or someone else with your custom characters?
For me, it's always more appealing for me to create another character different from myself. In fact, I've had enough of myself because I play myself every day by living my life. So, when it comes to my gaming characters, I need someone different.

You're very correct. I had to look that up and found out the same thing as the licenses being talked about have to do with the game’s music. During the The Line’s menu screen, Jimi Hendrix’s rendition of The Star Spangled Banner are all part of it while the game’s soundtrack like Martha and The Vandellas- Nowhere to Run all had the licenses expired.

killamch89 reacted to Reality vs Adventure in In a world without technology, how would your daily routine and interactions change?
The most important thing that will happen without technology is that we will embrace our loved ones more or life itself alone. We get so stuck in our toys that we would rather entertain our own self and neglect others in real life. That happens to all of us in the modern world. It takes a loss to realize what you can lose. Wishing you spent more time with them instead of all the stupid technology. But we are all prisoners of technology.

I'm so sorry you lost your baby. I lost mine last year. I've worn a vial around my neck ever since that has a bit of her blood, hair, and ashes in it. I refuse to take it off for any reason. I could die at 100 and this would still be around my neck.

It may be an age thing, because I don't give half a husky shit about my birthday either. All it is, is the day that enables me to say one number higher when someone asks me how old I am. I'm 42 now. Before you know it I'll be 50. Assuming I live that long.

killamch89 got a reaction from The Blackangel in Favourite pet name?
I'm not sure. There's usually a bunch of factors that go into me naming my pets including how they behave. For instance, one of my dogs was named courage because he was expressive as courage the cowardly dog on Cartoon Network. When something was wrong, he'd start pointing, whining and sometimes, grumbling under his breath lol.

I don't know if it's an age thing but I don't even care that much about my own birthday anymore. Valentine's day doesn't hold that much significance to me or my partner because we always show love and affection for each other.

I'm currently on Mint. I've tried so called gaming linuxes (pop os and manjaro) to try to get ubi connect to work with no luck.I can't really tell the difference as far as a gaming os goes. They mostly work ok but EA app and ubi connect I can't get to work on any of them.By all means, try other ones I'm fairly certain you're smarter than me. I  really like Manjaro but I get around better on Linux.

killamch89 reacted to Shagger in Does PC gaming reduce battery performance?
Batteries don't last forever. They loose thier ability to retain a charge after being charged and depleted so many times. So whilst its true gaming increases the power output of (what I assume is) a laptop making a battery deplete faster, that's not actually the problem.

Linux Distros short for Distributions are just different versions of Linux created by other people. Since Linux is an open-source operating system, anyone can make their own version of it and call it whatever they want. Ubuntu for example is a Linux distribution. It uses the same code, but expands upon it to make it their own. Ubuntu has other versions like Kubuntu, Edubuntu, Xubuntu and a few more. Kubuntu is like Ubuntu but uses a different file system I believe. Xubuntu I think is supposed to be a low resource OS that can run on older hardware and Edubuntu is more geared towards education purposes.
There are a ton of different ones out there, Wikipedia has a good list of them, even puts them in their own categories - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Linux_distributions

There's a lot of talk about this and that with people building their own PC's. Most of what they're talking about is something I personally have no clue what it is. And I'm sure I'm not the only one. So I'm going to pin this thread and see if it gains much traction. If it does, we'll keep it pinned. If not, we'll let it fall into the depths of the PC forum.
The first question is what the hell are peripherals?
