I don't know why people the need to indulge old promotional threads like this. It's 2 years old and wouldn't have been allowed under current rules, why comment on it? I'm locking this and removing the links ans please don't engage with threads like this.

There will always be risk takers out there when it comes to gamers. I think that such gamers don't worry about money too much. 

I think that it's only Sony Ericson smartphone that I have used of Sony's phone products which was very good back in the days. 

Technically he wasn't republiKKKlan or Democrat, as parties weren't really a thing yet at that time. He had his stance on things, the Confederacy had theirs. It led to the civil war. The stance of the Confederacy was fucked up and wrong as hell, which is one of the reasons they lost. Not to mention that there were naval blockades denying them supplies from other nations.
Parties weren't in full swing until after Lincoln's assassination. No one was left wing or right wing as neither existed. Some favored one term over another. Democracy or republic. Those two words in turn led to the names of the two main parties we have today. But like I said, during Lincoln's time there were no actual parties. After the assassination, some followed one path modeling them after Lincoln's policies, some followed another path introducing other policies. Neither was right, nor were they wrong at the time. In the post war era and the reconstruction, things were almost as volatile as they are now.

There is one basic problem with getting information from Google. Since Google does not create content, it only fetches what is already published online and a lot of fake information can come along the way.

I have read news where a kid was reported to kill his mother and sisters in a hope to emulate the game setting, and also about kids who attacked their parents because they did not allow them to play games. However, I could not find the links. I will share here once I find those articles.

To clarify, I do live in the UK. And in the UK if one wanted to build a gaming PC to match the capabilities of, let's say, a PS5, expected to pay well over £2000, whereas the retail price of the console is around £500. If you needed a computer as utility, you can find a laptop for that purpose for £400 or less quite easily, so add that to the (retail) price of a PS5 and it's still less than half the money. And honestly, I think that's a smarter way to spend one's money. Most of the electronics and stuff we buy is made in China as well, so that's explain this. What can explain it is that I believe it is something to do with the way some countries tax imported electronics. I know this is why people in Brazil pay double the price for a games console compared to the US. Regardless of the reason, you could say that the UK and the US are among the lucky ones.
 
Whether you are lucky or unlucky with the price of consoles where you live, it has nothing to do with the console manufacturer itself. They price thier hardware at a point where they barley profit from a console sale, or even make a loss, at least at first. They do this to get consoles into peoples homes as it's only then that they can start to make real money through subscriptions and sales of games and accessories. That's why they can afford to sell consoles cheap.
 
PC's, including gaming PC's and components, are different. They get sold as a more conventional good. Nvidea, Intel, AMD, Corsair, MSI, AS Rock or whoever it is making these computers and components only make money on the hardware sale. It's not like Nvidia get a cut of a game sale from steam just because they made you graphics card, or Corsair get a slice because they made your cooling fans or power supply. They have to charge more than what to cost to manufacture, a burden Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo can afford to ignore because with thier consoles being inside peoples homes can provide a revenue stream. PC's can't do that because there will be serval companies involved the manufacture, even on pre-built computers.
 
That is why PC's is so expensive. Yes, depending on where you live, consoles might be taxed to hell and not be any cheaper as a result, but these taxes can increase the cost PC gaming as well. For example, I'm fairly certain that PC components are more expensive here in the UK than they are in the US because if taxes and import costs.

I read both those links. The survey comes right out to say gaming makes kids aggressive but mentioned almost nothing on aggression and only talks about gaming addiction. This is what the survey says on aggression: 
"Parents of teens who play games are generally neutral on the effect of games on their children, with nearly two-thirds believing that games have no impact one way or the other on their offspring."
"62 per cent of parents say that video games have no effect on their child one way or the other. 19 per cent of parents say that video games have a positive influence on their child. 13 per cent of parents say video games have a negative influence on their child."
So that survey is redundant.
 
The study in your first link starts off saying this:
"Kids exposed to violent video games are more likely to pull the trigger in real life situations, as compared to those who do not indulge in such gaming habits, researchers have warned."
There were 3 groups (gaming with guns, gaming with swords, and gaming with non violence). The kids gamed for 20 minutes and then went to a room to play with toys. 2 disabled handguns were left there for the study and the kids found them and 'touched a gun.' How did they get from touching a gun to "most likely to pull the trigger in real life situations" when they are in a fucking toy room? How does that resemble real life situations? WTF? 
And the ones who touched a gun did it out of familiarization or curiosity. That's not aggression. And the ones who played the game without violence and who also touched a gun, are they considered aggressive too because of gaming?

You are in asia, we get PC cheaper, consoles expensive. he lives in UK or maybe US where the console buying is relatively cheaper for them as they exclusively play games. Asians want multi asset utility and never spend on one device for the sake of it. So sure PC is not expensive in that context even if it's gaming build.

According to wikipedia, Minecraft is the best selling game of all time with over 238 millions games sold.

I can understand your sentiments, however, whenever someone quotes me I would like to reply because after all this is a community that builds on interactions.

It's the same thing with me because I really value the money that I have to spend on any game. So, the game must be worth it. 

True indeed. Music and gaming are totally different things. The best thing about music is you can do other things while listening to music, for instance drive, go for a walk, work out, etc.

YouTube is smart, almost everything in there is done with one touch click. Just that it's current terms at the moment for monetization is high. 

Yeah, their are specific laptop for gaming, that's the option of laptop I am going for, due to my passion for gaming. Not that I don't spend time elsewhere, but I prefer gaming more. 

Seriously, there is no way I'm traveling without my music. It's the only thing that's going to keep company. 

Now, that's about something that's really worth seeing in my opinion as well. The question would be which company can make it well?
