  1. If it is possible to actually read these bills online then I can't figure out how to to it. If anyone can, please post in the thread. However, there are articles about it. I have chosen a number of articles at random from a google search from various news sources. The Guardian Washington Post Sky News Insider Not that I think this will change anything. You still live in that little bubble were racism doesn't exist and wilfully ignore any evidence to the contrary.
  2. I had best be transparent. I can see IP addresses and emails, but people need not worry. I promice the trust is not misplaced.
  3. Poopy is taking the red pill whilst falling down the rabbit upon entering the twilight zone. You think that's weird, you're only just getting started. I fucking love poppy though. She's as talented and creative as she is strange.
  4. FIFA's issue of releasing the same game year after year with little more than updated team rosters and logo changes started long before 2019. FIFA 2014, for example, could release on three generations of Playstation console (PS2, PS3 and PS4) and even two generations of Playstation handheld (PS Vita and PSP) on the same day. The fact that was even technically possible to release the same game on PSP and PlayStation 4 with the same in-game engines shows just how little the game changes over time. And don't even get me started on FUT, what is beyond doubt the most sinister and disgusting monetisation system in any pay-to-play video game. In fact, most free-to-play games aren't as horrendous as FUT. Don't get me wrong, if you enjoy playing it, then good for you and don't let anyone tell you shouldn't, but it just makes me sick that they get away with the crap they do year after year because people keep buying it. We can all see it, with exception of FIFA fans apparently. Even cooperate media outlets like IGN have had enough and have slammed the last couple of games on account of how lazy and greedy they are.
  5. I was under the impression Samurai were of noble birth, sworn to service of thier bloodline and thus the only way out of service was death.
  6. The UK born computer pioneer was being held in Barcelona awaiting extradition to the US on tax evasion charges when, as initial reports and official statements indicate, he took his own life. He was 75. Full story from The Mirror. I have never like McAfee or Norton ever. I usually remove that shit the first chance I get from any device I buy, but this story isn't about that. This was a case of a man pushed to the edge by his circumstance. Weather he was guilty of the charges he was facing or not, this is something that simply should not be allowed to happen. I'm not sure what the fallout of this is likely to be, but I'm sure the Spanish authorities are going to have to answer some difficult questions over the coming weeks. Most importantly though, life is a precious thing. Depressions and anxiety are potentially deadly and anyone who is feeling like the can't cope with whatever situation they are in, please seek help. 7. I didn't see it as an attack, but the courtesy is appreciated none the less.
  8. GOG is giving away ARMA: Cold War Assault for free, but at the time of this post, there is less that 24 hours left to claim, so get in thier quick! https://www.gog.com/game/arma_cold_war_assault
  9. What you're describing there is the simple reality that no game is made for everyone. A lot of people love Skyrim and others don't, and I can understand either one. I couldn't get into The Witcher 3, for example, even though the game is very much loved and even I will acknowledge it's merits, but it just didn't click with me. Skyrim sure as hell isn't perfect. The magic is horribly balanced, it had more than it's fair share of bugs at launch, many of the characters have confusing and non-sensical plot expositions and it's dialogue is often awkward, but it's a game crafted with heart and clear purpose by people that clearly loved making it. It's a great game because it's great at what it does, but what it does is not going to resonate with everyone. Marvels Avengers is different. It has flaws that aren't dismissible with personal preference. It is things it shouldn't be and isn't things it should for a superhero game. The characters don't feel very well defined from each other, the controls are over saturated and often difficult to use and the story is a bad fit for the Marvel's Avengers world. Then, there's the monetisation, it's sickening. I actually got my version as a freebie and it's plain to see why. They flat out don't need people to "buy" the game to harvest thier money, and that was clearly to goal from day one. I'm not gonna go into detail as it had been discussed on these threads on several occasions (one example here), but that isn't even the worst thing. Unlike The Witcher 3, Skyrim and other well reputed games and what defiantly separates Marvels Avengers from Crystal Dynamics' other work, especially Tomb Raider, is passion, or lack thereof. With high level employees leaving the company, a clear lack of care for quality of the DLC's and updates a pretty rocky launch for the game itself and not to mention this latest blunder, this was clearly a bread and butter job for what is generally regarded as a great developer. They didn't do better because it was clearly so hard for them to care and look at this as anything more that a soulless, 9-5 job. I don't doubt there are people working at CD who love the Avengers as much as anyone, but this game being a project that right from the start was a handover from a purely cooperate ambition would have probably sapped thier passion even more. That's why this game should have been better. It's not about personal taste, it's about it being a souless, white good with made under cooperate orders that depressed the otherwise talented people making it, and the player can really feel that whilst playing it. It's the skeleton of Tomb Raider with an Avengers paint job haphazardly slapped over the top of of it designed to appease investors who were only interested in making money. It doesn't suck because it doesn't suit my taste, it just sucks.
  10. Like @Crazycrab said, the pirates of the Carribbean at the time were not a rabble of mindless thieves, but highly trained and disciplined sailors that were amongst the best military men of thier day. If there were the drunken rabble most fiction depicts them as, they would never have achieved the fame and notoriety that they did. The governments of Britain and Spain sent these elite sailors out there for a war that never took place. When the peace treaty was signed, these sailors were left unemployable, so many of them took to thievery to get buy. Using thier military skills to rob ships and ports to make ends meet and to take jabs at the countries that they felt had betrayed them. They were organised and knew what they were doing. That's partly why thier rulers, especially in the case of the British, hated them so much, but mostly it was because they were more than just thieves, they were traitors as well.
  11. The monetization and overall stability of the game have been issues from day one. It's also just not that fun to play, something I can say from experience. I tried to like it, but it's just tedious and not as much fun as it should have been. It's not a terrible game, but with a talented studio like Crystal Dynamics the potential of the license, it should have been so much more.
  12. The FIFA series needs to die of ebola and rot in hell. Hopefully the contagion will spared to EA Sports in general and kill them off too.
  13. I'm not sure I would describe TLOU as a horror game, though. There are horror elements, as well as elements of survival and it's very much narrative driven, but It's still a 3PS/Action game at it's core.
  14. Well, that kinda how we watch stuff now, isn't it? Weirdly, I've been watching Robot Wars on YouTube for the past week or so. It was a televised contest where teams build remote controlled machines to fight in in an area in a knockout style tournament. I think America has a very similar thing called Battlebots, so if you've seen that, you get the gist.
  15. I'm a man and sit down to pee. Every time.

  17. I remember you posted about this situation before, and one again you have my sympathys, but I'm afraid that I can't offer any additional advice that what I've offered already. Like I said that time, this isn't a forum dedicated to help with problem gambling, so there's little that we can do beyond what we have already done. I sincerely hope that you, your wife and your family get the help and support you need. Look out for gambling help and financial help. I found this Gambling Help Forum that may offer better advice that we can. Please check that out and the other links that we have posted if you haven't already done so. Very best of luck. We are glad to help, albeit within our limited capacity to do so.
  18. PlayStation Support (via thier YouTube channel) themselves recommend this as a solution to this problem, so I highly doubt that it poses a risk.
  19. According to Opera Forums, this appears to be an known issue with Opera running on Android, but not windows. I use Opera GX on my laptop and it works just fine. You've probably thought of this, but have you tried using a different browser? I use Chrome on my phone and, again, experience no issues.
  20. I actually have a very similar story. I work at a dockyard that refits and now builds ships for the Royal Navy, among other things. Fairly Recently, we assembled the Queen Elizabeth Class Aircraft Carrier. As a way to honour the hard work of the people who built them, each individual had his or her name etched onto one of the hanger doors. We were all obviously invited up to a little ceremony to commemorate this. We couldn't actually look at the engraving as the doors weren't complete at the time, but the full list of names were up on a large billboard displayed on the hander. And yes, you guessed it, there was a Richard Head. I can't believe I live in a world with two pairs of idiots who would do this to their child exist. So now, Dick Head is etched permanently on the Royal Navy's flagship.
  21. I get why people were mad at him. Knowing that he was such a big donator to republican politicians and policy as well as holding stereotypical "Christian" views on certain things makes me relived that I never bought 5NAF, and I never will. He says he supports equal rights for woman, yet he thinks he has the right to tell woman you can't have an abortion, what they are and are not allowed to do with thier own bodies. He says he doesn't discriminate based on gender, gender identity or sexual orientation, yet financially supports politicians that are trying to put into law more anti-LGBTQAI+ bills and polices than any government in the US has every seen. He's a liar. The kind of liar that's lying to themselves. I do admire him for sticking to his beliefs and refusing to apologise for them, but I don't think he fully understands the harm the causes he supports actually does to people, and I don't think he want's to understand. I don't like him. However, does he deserve to be "cancelled"? No. He has his views and every right to them whether you like them. People can disagree with him, question him or even call him out, but he does not deserve to be threatened, especially his family. Being attacked and doxed is something he wholeheartedly does NOT deserve it. That is way worse is way worse that anything he has ever done. That is out of order and that kind of behaviour should be condemned by everyone. For full context, here is his "retiring" post on Reddit And a summery of the whole story from Gamesindustry.biz
  22. I pretty much agree. E3 was ment to give journalists a chance to see, and possibly try, new games to then report about them to fans through the publication they worked for, whether it be a magazine, newspaper, website or whatever. When they first started to let the public in it became that much more difficult for journalists to see everything they needed to see. To to fix the problem they themselves created, E3 started hosting presentation style conferences so everyone could see new announcements and trailers all at once. This turned E3 into more of a con' (Like Comicon), something the games industry didn't really need as such a thing already existed. The final nail in the coffin came when, again E3 themselves, introduced the idea of live streaming these conferences. After that, it was only a matter of time until game publishers and console manufacturers thought, "Why don't we just stream our own announcements at a time and schedule to suit ourselves?". And, now they are. I know how this is going to sound, but the worst thing E3 ever did for itself was try to connect more directly to the public. That set it on the path towards irrelevancy. Maybe E3's fate wouldn't have been better if it had stayed closed to the public and been for journalists only, it's hard to imagine what would have happened if they did, but either way I actually like things better the way the have turned out. Publishers use the internet as it is now and take charge of thier own announcements. They get better, more direct feedback and it means we don't have go through the hassle and expense to going through 3rd party journalists to get the latest news.
