  1. They definitely need to do more to distinguish the two, maybe have black headers and footers on the Series X version instead of green or at the very least have it say "Series X" on the end label instead of just on the inside front corner. This is a truly ridiculous situation where you have to carefully scan over the box art just to know what platform it's for.
  2. I agree with you, I can see the PS5 outselling the Series X but not by that much. The deficit in sales from PS4 to XBox One was about 9 million a year on average but the XBox One was an initial PR disaster. Now however with XBox having exclusives down the line and what I think right now is an overall better deal with Game Pass and more comprehensive backwards compatibility it's going to be much closer.
  3. Yeah... WTF? I think male players do that to!
  4. I'd have to disagree with that. Castlevainia isn't being ignored by modern gamers, far from it. In fact I believe that there is a ton of demand for a new Casastlevainia game. The problem is FucKonami doesn't care and is just sitting on it like they are doing with most of their IP's.
  5. I was using IMGUR for forums but I found out on this forum you can now import images directly so I've been doing that.
  6. There's not much in it but the best current console port will be on the XBox One X.
  7. I don't think you understand what the gold version of a produced game is because it's NOT the finished product. Developers don't send off the gold version to their publisher and then sit with thier thumbs up their arses. The "gold" version is the fully assembled version of the game code that is ready for the publishers to send off to digital stores and be printed on physical discs. It’s the first draft, version 1.0. Things are not done yet including optimisation for each individual release platform, localisation in most countries, final age ratings, testing and the subsequent bug fixes. Gold versions often come out many months before they are ready for release especially with big projects like this.
  8. Ok, I've just found out that not only is this thing is ACTULLY a real a full working fridge, It's all parf of a giveaway that XBox are doing! Yopu can check the details here: https://www.xbox.com/en-us/promotions/sweepstakes/xbox-series-x-fridge?ocid=Sweepstakes_soc_omc_xbo_tw_Video_lrn_10.28.2&irgwc=1&OCID=AID2000142_aff_7794_1246483&tduid=(ir__n9tgrmc69okfq0ckkk0sohz3zu2xsk3yejm9b9la00)(7794)(1246483)((0f21cf6d8ce7b38ce5656c30b303207e)(266696)(1503186)(92X590208Xac660c3adbe114408a44cdb88a7cbe2b)())(0f21cf6d8ce7b38ce5656c30b303207e)&irclickid=_n9tgrmc69okfq0ckkk0sohz3zu2xsk3yejm9b9la00 Also iJustine has done an unboxing of one of them, check it out!
  9. I don't think there is one mascot character for PlayStation and that's a good thing. You've got Kratos, Ratchet & Clank, Aloy, Nathan Drake, Sackboy, Crash Bandicoot, and whatever David Cage is perving over and more so there's something for everyone. You can cater to a wider market when there is not just one image that defines the brand.
  10. Well, it's been delayed again... Again!
  11. It's a ridiculous take becuase, unlike film or music piracy and/or public performace that your describing, video games streaming something that developer's and publishers actully benefit from! Games are an interactive media, you can't experience the full product by just watching somone else play it. Also streamers and content creators who make let's plays or reviews activly promote the games they cover. This is why publisher's and developer's (for the most part) don't mind and even encourage people to stream or make videos and monetize them, it's a win win. Games like Fall Guy's, Minecraft, Amoung Us and many more would never have found the success that have without streamers and content creators. The idea that a publisher would want a system in place that active discourages people from doing something that actully helps them make money is ludicrous.
  12. I know it came out last year but I'd say Assassin's Creed Odyssey, I think I underestimated it when it first released but then I picked it up in an EPIC sale and it's by far what I've put the most hours into this year.
  13. FucKonami still own the rights to Metal Gear and Silent Hill so it almost certinly won't be either of those..
  14. Cryptocurrencies are generally used by people who don't want to leave a digital papertrail... like if you were doing something illegal like dealing drugs of illicit content on the dark web. If an outlet was even allowing people to pay using cryptocurrency in exchange for game codes or in game content I wouldn't touch them with a 10 foot flag pole.
  15. Looking at the PS5's motherboard, it looks pretty sparse and spread out. I think they could definitely make this smaller: Especially when you compare it to the board on the XBox Series X which looks much more dense:
  16. Thanks for the nomination @The Blackangel! I would like to nominate @skyfire, he has been posting a lot of articles and trails of new and upcoming releases lately that I don't think I would have otherwise found out about.
  17. Well as our resident "tech Guru'' (apparently) I have a duty to be honest. If you're talking about PS4 or XBox One then the XBox has the better port. Although the modding capabilities through the Creation Club on both are somewhat limited compared to PC, the XBox does allow for script editing whereas the PS4 doesn't so it is more capable in that regard, especially if it is an XBox One X. Also since Microsoft now own Bethesda there might not be a release on the PS5 at all. Your right, (maybe aside from cosmetic mods and bug fixes) it's best to play the game as intended first before doing anything crazy with mods I would actually recommend finishing the game on the Switch before you try PC so your not tempted to use mods or Console Commands to get ahead (more on those later). With that being said, I'm sorry if the statement sounds like a broken record at this point, but PC is the best version even without mods. It has the highest resolution textures and it's by far the most robust, especially with mods. Then there are the Console Commands, some will say that they are usually used for cheating... and they're 100% correct but they are also useful for getting around certain bugs and issues. For example if you get stuck in a wall you can use the console to clip through it, remove it to clear your path or move your character to another location instead of having to reload and lose your progress. Or if a quest bugs out and you can't progress you can use the console to skip forward and continue.
  18. I think the platformers like Banjo-Kazooie and Conker's Bad Fur Day are in kind of a dated genre by now and I believe there was a new version of Killer Instinct realeed like 5 or 6 years ago. Since Goldeneye is a complete licencing hellhole that leaves Perfect Dark the only real viable option in my opinion. I think I've mentioned before how much I would love to see a proper remake of Perfect Dark but... I wouldn't actually want Rare to do it. I think it would be better to give the project to 343 or Microsoft's newly acquired id Software since they have more experience with modern shooters.
  19. I'm thinking about giving it a go, the only thing that is worrying me is the grind. I know it's free to play but there doesn't seem to be a way to grind for the characters and items you want specifically. You grind or buy the primo-gems (the premium currency) and have to rely on the "wishes" which are effectively the game's loot boxes. How are you finding the grind?
  20. I'm guessing it's THIS model: Assuming that it is we can start to draw some reasonable conclusions. The first one being that you have, and I'm sorry it, you've kinda wasted your time buying this monitor. You should still be able to game using the monitor but you're going to have to make some compromises. As I suspected earlier Freesync will not work with this laptop. Although it is possible to get Freesync to function on 1000+ series GPU's (I'm assuming this is running a 1650 4Gb), it won't work here because it has no Display Port connection. Try disabling Freesync and boot the game again. If that doesn't work go to your display settings and set a lower resolution and framerate, like 1080p and 60Hz (which is the native settings for the laptop's own screen). There's no way this laptop is capable of playing any semi-modern game at that monitor's native resolution and framerate anyway. Also don't forget to make sure the monitor is set as the primary display while it's connected.
  21. I go for more expensive ones, wireless and surround sound are bare minimum requirements for me. I never buy wired headsets because the cables flex, bend, twist then inevitably break. I'd rather spend £80 then waste £20.
  22. 1Tb is nowhere near enough. I understand that they are fast SSD's that are very expensive so they had to make them smaller to cost the cost of the consoles down. That being said even handfull of current gen backwards compatible game plus 2 or 3 new ones and the standard drives will be filled immediatly.
  23. Well technically there is, but it's an internal cable like this: I got a little curious myself and looked into to it and the only way I can see how this might be possible is to use something called a Controller Board driver Kit: But even if we were to assume that this would work (and I REALLY don't know if it would) you would have to attach this exposed board either the wall behind or to the back of one of the other monitors, it's just not practical. There are much easier ways to configure a regular monitor in this way with frames and mounts.
  24. They won't add anything from N64 or Game Cube until after those inevitable "Mini's" come out. Nintendo are the reigning champions of milking things out.
