StaceyPowers Posted May 30, 2019 Posted May 30, 2019 When you create a new character in an open world game, how do you name them?
kingpotato Posted May 30, 2019 Posted May 30, 2019 It depends on the game, in Skyrim I'm Ragnar (Vikings TV series).
The Blackangel Posted May 31, 2019 Posted May 31, 2019 I either go with my nickname or screen name typically. My nickname is Panda due to my love of bamboo. The Blackangel is a name that I've had for over 20 years.
Executor Akamia Posted May 31, 2019 Posted May 31, 2019 If it's one where I can't play with other people in any capacity, I usually use my real name. In ones where multiplayer options exist, I usually go with my usual screen name, Akamia.
TheSteelyardDweller Posted June 3, 2019 Posted June 3, 2019 whatever pops into my brain first that is my name. just wanna get to the game!
DylanC Posted June 3, 2019 Posted June 3, 2019 Like Akamia, I usually use my real name for characters in RPGs.
The Blackangel Posted June 4, 2019 Posted June 4, 2019 If the game has its own suggestion, most of the time I'll just go with that. But my previous statement still stands.
Aerielle del Rosario Posted June 4, 2019 Posted June 4, 2019 I would mix my names like Lle, Aer, Rea, and etc.
killamch89 Posted June 7, 2019 Posted June 7, 2019 It depends on the type of game, type of character and sometimes, it depends on my mood. For example, if I'm trying to troll someone in-game I'll add part of their name "killatrash" or something along those lines. My vampiric battlemage's name in Skyrim is Drakul.
skyfire Posted June 30, 2019 Posted June 30, 2019 I think naming based on the ancient culture names or say the tribes which were documented yet destroyed can be a good change of routine I guess.
killamch89 Posted July 1, 2019 Posted July 1, 2019 I do occasionally give my characters a ridiculous name for a certain challenge I created for myself to complete in-game. For instance, I have a Skyrim character named FrisbeeBoy and he uses a throwing weapon mod but it looks like a Frisbee. It hardly does any damage normally but with buffs it can output some ridiculous damage.
