What gets you out of bed

What's your reason for getting out of the bed in the morning?

For me, it would be the fact that I need to work, and that I want to be able to enjoy coming online and visiting various websites, and playing goofy games.

For me, it's the need of having to commute to work at 4am. My alarm is set on my iPhone for the days in which I'm working, so I don't accidentally sleep in. Every night I just check to ensure it's not been put on silent mode by mistake.

Every morning I wake up to work. At holidays I wake up to have a rest as I understand it's not enough time to chill, so I can't sleep all the time. Must admit that some days I just sleep the whole day as I'm so tired sometimes..

The want for coffee and the need for a toilet, other then that there is nothing for getting up other then going on my PC and get up far to late on most monrings. No work or jobs to get up for.

The fact that I have bills to pay and they won't pay themselves.  I would like very much to stay in bed, especially when it's cold outside.  But that won't help with paying the bills so I'm just getting out of bed to go to my job, whether I like it or not.

The fact that I need to pay my bills and debt won't pay itself. Although there isn't the sole reason for me getting out of bed, the other half rests within spending time with loved ones, friends, and socialising with others. It's a bit of both.

Agreed but the main one is to sustain my way of living. If I stay in bed I'll never be able to continually progress in life and there's time for rest and other times for productivity. We must make great use of that time.

I've never been a morning person and love to sleep in. Even in high school, I was late to school every day and they finally put me in In School Suspension where I could no longer go to my regular classes. I had to sit with trouble makers in detention all day. Then I was late every day there too, and they would give me an extra day every time I was late. I spent my entire high school in detention till my mom finally withdrew me from public school to do homeschooling. And I was on the Dean's list in college. How about that. But since I hate waking up in the mornings, I've mostly worked night shift jobs. But I found that if I am on vacation somewhere, or even camping out, I would wake up at the break of dawn. As soon as that sun rises I hop out of bed to enjoy the day. So for me, what gets me out of bed is beautiful nature.

I'm nocturnal. The best job I ever had was working the graveyard shift at a gas station. When i was doing the interview I specifically asked for a 3rd shift. The manager was both surprised and thrilled, because no one wanted to work it. It was perfect for me. Little to no stress, the perfect time of day, and easy as hell. Not to mention that I was allowed all the soda I wanted from the fountain drinks. If I got hungry, I could just grab pretty much anything I wanted to eat, as long as I wrote it down, and the manager would just deduct it from my check. The pay was weekly, and me working 3rd shift, I made over $300 a week, since that's the most dangerous shift to work as that's when robberies tend to take place. But I brought a 9mm with me every night, and a book or Game Boy.

It was the best job ever.

These days though, I tend to wake up with or before the sun. Usually around 5:00 or so. I go to bed whenever I get tired, and that can be anywhere from 7:00 to 11:00. It varies wildly. If there's a Red Wings game on though, I make sure to stay up to watch my boys kick some ass.
