  1. I think it depends alot on the game and the studio. I remember watching an interview with Ashley Burch who describes a situation very similar to the one you describe when she was working on on Horizon Zero Dawn. Other games more reliant on motion capture, like TLOU, the VA's seam to be more involved and aware of what thier working on. Security and preventing leaks to press also seems to be a varying concern. The VA for Aerith in FFVII Remake is a professional actress, but also has a long running gaming YouTube channel called "Strange Rebel Gaming", so I can only imagine what that must of been like for her to know what the part was and not be able to tell anyone due an NDA. Obviously, she was allowed to reveal the truth eventually. Overall, I feel like this varies greatly between studios and thier publishers because of differences in security protocols, methods of capture and how studio's write scripts. However, I do think the old days of VA's being given a booth, a script and a stern request to not ask questions are starting to fade.

  4. I wear a hematite ring on each thumb, and it helps more than people can know. The downside is that hematite is very brittle. When one breaks, if I don't have an extra to replace it, I feel completely off balance until I can get another one. I also have a large chunk of hematite in my office that I hold a lot. It calms me as it draws out negative feelings and emotions. Sometimes I put it to the ground and hold it down with my palm. I can literally feel the stress leaving my body. It doesn't work 100% of the time, but it's worth a shot. Just for novelty purposes, I'm looking for a piece of raw hematite. Everything I have is polished.

  5. I dream of having the life that Arthur has in RDR2. Living with the gang I men. People actually caring about you. Not beating you every day. Not telling you how worthless you are. People needing you. People who want you around and want to be around you. I get lost in fantasy when I play the game. Those are things I never had. At this point if someone was to say "I love you" to me, it would probably destroy my psyche. If it didn't do that, then there would never be any chance of me trusting them. I know for a fact that there would be some sort of ulterior motive behind a statement like that. No one says such a thing without something else in mind.

  7. I do a lot of voice acting for the crew I'm with. They like the way I sound and the commanding tone I have. Our games that we come up with are just for us and friends/family. But while I'm a "thinker" I'm also a voice actress on occasion.

  8. Maybe this happens only when you experience something in a game that you never had the chance for in real life

  9. That's interesting descending from deities. Reminds me of the book I'm reading Malazan where there are those who ascend to become a God. They call them ascendants. Somewhere there is the halfway point where I guess magic is. Usually those that use magic gets power from warrens. I'm not sure yet, but I assume gods control those warrens.

  10. What makes me mad is when they can go into a state where they can't be damaged. Like going out of your reach or raising some magic barrier out of nowhere. Another thing that drives me to a nervous breakdown is when it has a health bar, but when it runs out it refills and it becomes harder to hurt. Just make the freaking health bar three times longer then, but don't gaslight me with a fake health bar.

  11. I feel like I explore a bit much too. I'm trying to balance the times I explore every square inch, or simply wander. I get immersed more when I wander w/o crazily looking for items. I can always go back; but at this moment, I'm gonna take it all in as if I was there.
