  1. I figured I'd just throw this out there because my uncle recently passed away and amoung his things was a bass guitar I gave him some years back that got passed back to me. I try playing years ago but never got very far. I also get an electro-acoustic guitar that belonged to his late son. After looking through some local classifieds I found a pretty decent 1980's amp for £20 (pictured). So I've got the gear but you think is the best place/way to learn? I'm basically starting from beginners level again.

  2. I’ve discovered you can learn a lot about a person by watching them game, especially if they are frustrated. For example, I was watching a friend raging while trying to get around an obstacle course in a game he was relatively new to. He kept raging about an obstacle he was having a hard time with, which was resulting in him falling and having to do the whole course over. But he didn’t notice that he was learning quickly and getting past previous obstacles in the course almost without effort that were driving him crazy before. It made me realize a lot of his anger results from where he puts his attention, and failing to notice his own growth.

  3. A politician dies. Instead of going straight to heaven or hell, a spirit appears to him. The spirit tells him that, rather than being judged for his sins, he gets to choose whether he goes to heaven or hell. The politician replies that of course he wants to go to heaven. The spirit tells him that before he chooses, he has to visit both places so each one will get a fair chance. First they visit heaven. It looks pretty nice. Big fluffy clouds, angels singing and playing harps, everyone seeming to enjoy themselves. The politician is pleased, if a bit underwhelmed. Hell, on the other hand, is magnificent. It’s the most beautiful place the politician has ever seen, and everyone there is having the time of their lives. It has a buffet table filled with delicious-smelling food, a beautiful garden, a pool with a water slide, a dance floor, a massage parlor, and innumerable other attractions. It makes heaven look dull and boring and comparison. “I can’t believe I’m saying this,” says the politician, “but I think I’d rather go to hell!” “Very well,” says the spirit. “Turn around.” When the politician turns around, though, hell appears to be completely different than it had been less than a minute ago. All of the attractions are gone, everything is on fire, and the people are screaming in agony. “I don’t understand!” cries the politician. “This isn’t what you showed me before!” “Well, that was the campaign,” replies the spirit. “Now you’ve voted.”

  4. Tuesday, September 11th, 2001 8:46AM EDT. The north tower of the World Trade Center was hit by a commercial airliner on flight 11. At 9:03AM, the southern tower was hit by another commercial airliner on flight 175. At 9:37AM flight 77 crashed into the Pentagon. At 10:03AM a fourth airliner, flight 93, crashed in a field near Shanksville Pennsylvania, southeast of Pittsburgh. The target was believed to have been either the Capitol or the White House. Four planned and deliberate attacks against the United States took the lives of 2,977 innocent people. It also took the 19 lives of the terrorists executing the plan, for a total of 2,996 people. In the aftermath, the brave men and women who rushed into the devastation to search in the hopes of finding a single survivor, who in turn lost their own lives doing so must be acknowledged. That puts the number well over 3000. We cannot forget, nor can we forgive what happened. Not only was the United States devastated by the attack, but the rest of the civilized world was in shock also. Many of our allies joined in with us to bring those responsible to justice. We will never stop seeking for justice to win out for the atrocities committed by man. I would say "mankind" but there is no kindness to be found in acts like these. I ask everyone to take a moment to remember those who died, simply because one man didn't like us because of where we lived. Despite being misanthropic, I don't believe in genocide unless it is the entire human race.

  5. The best way to learn is with someone who can teach. That said, the best place is either at your home or theirs. Wherever the both of you feel comfortable. A decent teacher wont gouge you for lesson payments, but you will have to pay a fair price. If you practice for just an hour or two daily between lessons, and apply yourself to it, you could learn to play rather well in just a matter of a few weeks. Practice more, and you could learn to tear that bass up.

  6. I'm sorry about your uncle passing. There are tutorials on YouTube and also there are sites like Skillshare that can help you as well.

  7. That's really sad to hear she's dying. There was a time in Lords Mobile where our kingdom was being raided by a whole family of guilds that just moved in. They were a bunch of assholes and the whole kingdom without discussing a word with each other put our differences aside and drove them out within a week.

  8. If it's a game that was very rough and tough for me to get passed through in my first time, getting back to it again would feel like hell especially when it comes to beating a very strong opponent.

  9. I have a massive collection of Simpsons trading cards and NKOTB trading cards. Well, I don't know if they're technically "trading" cards, but they're collectible cards. And I have every one of them. Most of them I have a lot of duplicates.

  10. As much as I know very well that it's possible for me to make a few bucks from selling any of my old consoles, my connection with them wouldn't let me do that easily. I rather dash it out to a close friend or family member.

  11. Yeah, "it breaks the game" just means they can't be bothered to make the necessary changes to make it work. They are taking the lazy approach.

  12. In NFS, the sound tracks are mostly rock songs. Though I normally don't listen to rock songs that much, but while playing the game it really helped to increase the entertainment quotient. Such racing games along with rock soundtracks really pumps up the adrenaline. 😊

  13. Well, it's a fact that the soundtracks that comes with Twisted Metal and Need for Speed are purely different kind of songs but both are cool by the way.

  15. Seriously - most people really enjoy the cartoon series of Pokémon. I was so addicted to it. If I looked well enough, I might find some of the Pokémon toys I had back then.

  16. I normally a big fan of Pokémon cartoon series, which I used to watch in my childhood. But never really liked the game version of it. Though I never played the first 2, so I don't have other choice but to go with Pokemon go. 😊

  17. Yeah. The video is informative. If we talk about the games, I guess the simulation games largely helps to build the environment, Where we can really learn driving or flying. I played MSFS and it helped to learn flying Technics that helped me in real life.

  18. You can only improve yourself if you honestly believe you need improvement, and then take the steps necessary to make that improvement. Otherwise it's nothing but wasted time and energy that could have been put towards something that mattered.

  19. I think you can only improve yourself if you know what exactly needs improving. Everything else is holy poly
